Took tires to "boss shop". NEVER AGAIN. They charged over $400 to duct tape weights on the tires. I wish I could give a negative rating. I called to ask if the tape could be removed and the guy said "no, that's how it's done". Then he denied that he duct taped the weights. I emailed him the picture and he said "that's not duct tape". I used to stop at this truck stop all the time, when I was going from Seattle to Chicago, now I drive locally but the guys who run to Indy took vacation, and my boss asked me if I wanted this run So I said why not will be a nice change of pace for a week. so I got to Stop here and Fuel as this is also a Pilot fuel stop, the people here are really nice and helpful, I was looking for a 1 to 3 outlet converter so we could plug in the GPS and Charge cell phones at the same time, they had what I wanted, also the Pilots now have about 5 different types of coffee, such as Sumatra and Hazelnut Kona coffee, and they brew it fresh so it isn't old crap that has been on a burner all day so in the end we got Fuel, a 3 outlet plug in and some fresh Coffee and I think we also got a couple hot dogs all in about 15 minutes and we were back on the road read more

This is no longer the Windmill truck stop, although the Windmill is still there. It is now a Pilot with a subway inside. The showers were wonderful. Brand new, clean, plenty of water pressure, and adequate towels. There was even a light in the shower. It was 5:30 when we got there and we had no wait for a shower. They have a Subway in the building, a small soup bar, and a detached restaurant called Marlins in the same parking lot. (See separate review). They offer roughly 30-40 truck spots, a repair shop, clearance items in a marked bin, transflo, and all of the necessities one could need such as medicine, feminine products, hot dogs, etc. Truckers: they will let you drop your trailer so that you can go and see Mount Rushmore (the monument only allows bobtails) but you have to fill out a drop form. The only redeeming quality is the fantastic showers, however they are quite expensive at $12.00 per person. The place itself is filthy. The staff have no knowledge at all, about anything. This includes their store or the surrounding cities. There is dog crap EVERYWHERE! The lot is a dust-bowl and dangerous, the driver cannot see at all going around the corners! If you need a free place to stay go down the highway a couple of miles and go to Cabelas or the Flying J. The same people own the Piolt and Flying J but you would never know it. read more

We had two tires on our camper trailer blow out in one day. After a fiasco trying to get towed to Boss Shop, they were able to get us two new tires quickly and at a reasonable cost. We wanted to get all of our replaced, but they only had two tires in stock, so we came back a few days later to get the other tires replaced and had a similar experience. They were easy to work with and we were happy to give them the business for our other tires. read more
