Some of the windows had extra features such as frosted glass, designs etched in the corners of casement windows, and muntins etched into the glass so as not to obstruct with the view. All windows fit well and have held up well over the past ten years. When we needed some replacement weep hole covers they sent several over at no charge. The only problem we had was not with the Thermal Industries windows but with the installer. After having the windows installed we ended up filing with BBB regarding the installer. A month after they fixed the problems the installer closed up business. I mention this only to caution people to find a good reputable installer. If they choose to install Thermal Industries windows I would hope they would have as good an experience as we have.

I think they purposely poorly construct their product in order to earn residual income from service calls when their product starts to fall apart. I replace every window in my house and a sliding glass door. All of the products are warping. They refuse to service my account. When I initially called them about the problems I was having with the windows, they lied to me. They installed subpar windows for the location of my house and then tried to blame me and the county for the poor performance of the windows. Stay away from these crooks. I talked to everyone at every level of authority in this organization. And this multimillion dollar company screwed me over for $6,000. They refused to fix the problems. And they installed windows that were not appropriate. No one in this company was willing to rectify the problem. They'd rather steal $6,000 from me than do what's right.

Windows on Washington got the job. My windows and my doors were being manufactured. So they sent out a wonderful gentleman to get the final accurate measurements. Great guy. After that, communication was wonderful as were were assessed of the stage we were in. This included when we got the email and calls explaining that, since we were on a higher floor, they needed to bring in some equipment to lift the new doors up to our balcony. No surprises. Installation day was amazing as Joon and his team came in, got everything into place, and cleaned up the areas to better than when they got here. Joon then went over the features on our windows and even explained how we get to and clean the outsides of the glass. Wonderful man and amazing team. Since then, we have gotten copies of our warranty and the guarantees. And the company has reached out twice to ask if we have any questions and to ensure that we are happy with our windows. We are. We are very happy with our windows. Almost as happy as we are with the people who got them into our home.

Homefix had just what I was looking for, and I picked out a beautiful door for my house. The guys showed up right on time, and immediately set to work. My new doors were installed in about 3 hours and now I'm just sitting back taking in the compliments. The best part is, they just happened to have a trim in the truck that matched my siding! It was going to be white (like the door), but the matching trim really makes the door look spectacular. My front hall is a lot lighter now, thanks to those glorious windows. All in all, I'm very pleased with the style of my door, and the work they did was very professional. I can highly recommend them.

Despite my rule of not signing a contract without three bids in hand, I got sucked into signing a contract. When I tried to cancel it the next business day, I was given the runaround and had to drive to their headquarters to get it cancelled. Even then, we got email harassing us for cancelling the contract. The salesperson was slick and kept trying to sell me their "top of the line window" (I don't think they really sell anything else). Lots of calls to the sales manager for discounts on that window. Their top of the line are cheap Slocomb windows that are inferior, low end windows with cheap coil balances. Yes, they are the largest manufacturer of windows east of the Rockies, but their window designs are stuck in the 90's. Their primary customers are big outfits like Homefix. The sample window was unfinished with a bunch of waste plastic on the weld seams. Even after all the discounts they were almost twice the price of any other company that sold far superior mondern windows.

This is both visible from outside and especially inside. You can clearly/easily see how one side of each window will be all the way in and one side will be all the way out. 3 windows have damage to the vent screens with 1 of those vent screens actually having a tear in the screen where the corner of a another glass block window actually scratched the vent glass itself. How do I know this? I watched them unload all 7 windows out of the back of a Buick towncar where they couldn't even be bothered to put something in-between each window to help avoid accidental transportation damage. Also one window has chipped glass on the exterior of the window. 6 out of 7 windows have visible product barcodes that you can see in every angle that you look at the windows which is ludicrous that they thought that was acceptable to the customer. Their installers installed damaged windows that they had to have seen/known at the time and just didn't care. Their installers also left me a slop mess under the 1 bathroom wall window with mortar all over the place. My mother and I have called, emailed and I have went to their place of business which was unbelievably closed around noon on a Friday. The owner stated in a email on October 19th that they would make it right which still hasn't happened as of November 2 2025. We would have never used this company had we would have known that we were going to have damaged windows, crooked installations and a plethora of lovely barcodes to look at forever. To add insult to injury it sucks being told your right that they need to make it right and nothing ever happening as a result of it. I have tried to avoid filing a mhic claim but I have to at this stage as they are avoiding both my mother and I at all costs. I would like to make a point in stating that I have not called repeatedly every day all day, I have given a bare minimum of 4 to 5 days at a time to get a response and that just hasn't happened. We want them to either remanufactor every window or refund us as we didn't pay 2802.00 for this kind of sloppy work. I hope this helps someone else as what they did to us is unacceptable and they are doing nothing about it besides dragging it out further with no resolution. When you see this Mr. Scott Fava, I've been incredibly patient, please call one of us and either cut a check and refund us or remanufactor these windows and make it right. Update 11/10/25, we dug into Mr. Fava hard and found he lost his MHIC license in Februrary 2025, he has a 213,000 dollar IRS judgement against him, he has new and prior claims against him and it would seem he hasn't paid any of his debts in a long time. Do Not Under Any Circumstances give this jackass any of your money, time or consideration for his work as he isn't licensed and is literally out here robbing peter to pay paul as we are fairly certain he did this shit to us just as a quick money grab to pay down his judgements against him. Absolutely ridiculous, we did a pretty good overall look at Maryland Glass Block before we did business with them and wish we would have looked into Mr. Fava personally a lot harder. He robbed us of over 2800 with his silicone constructed, misaligned and barcode laden windows all while promising us he would make it right. His failure to make it right for us is going to result in another lawsuit as he committed a fraudulent act against us personally by operationing under the guise of being a legitimate business when he was no longer licensed. I will update this as the matter proceeds. We have already started the process.

My project was complicated because my 1980s drywall shafts were the wrong size for modern solar blinds. Instead of just "making it work" or creating a huge mess with drywall dust, Zach proposed a brilliant custom solution: building a clean birch veneer box with custom trim. It looks stunning and kept my house completely dust-free. What impressed me most was Zach's integrity. During the install, a small piece of my old plastic molding snapped. Instead of ignoring it, Zach took full ownership and replaced the trim on both skylights with upgraded foam-backed wood molding at his own expense to ensure everything was airtight and uniform. It is not a simple fix but an upgrade, for free. See the attached before/after pictures and the broken plastic. Like most customers, I contacted a few contractors before selecting Winfield Builders. Their price is VERY reasonable, and the communication through Yelp was professional and transparent. It is rare to find a contractor who cares this much about the details. If you want a crew that is honest, skilled, and delivers a beautiful finish, call Zach. 1000% recommendation!

Charm City Roofing didn't just replace a roof; they gave us a safe haven. Charm City Roofing teamed up with GAF and Green the Church to give me a new roof for my row home. This project was part of a major rebuild for us, and I am forever grateful for their dedication to helping me get it done. The love and care they showed throughout the entire process was noted and deeply appreciated. And it wasn't just for my property, they showed that same respect to my neighbors! When they finished the job, they didn't just clean up my area; they went above and beyond and cleaned up my neighbors' space as well. That level of thoughtfulness is rare. From the owner, Roger, to Cianna in the front office, to Bryan and the incredible team of roofers on site, everyone was magnificent. If you are in the Baltimore area or anywhere else they service in Maryland, I highly recommend Charm City Roofing. They are a magnificent team and God sent.

We had a new roof installed by Charm City Roofing at the end of 2023 because the company had excellent reviews and they were reasonable cost. We have a pretty simple duplex so we expected the process to be straightforward. Unfortunately, what should have been an easy roofing project turned into a frustrating and ongoing ordeal that we are still dealing with years later. During the installation, the workers left 20+ roofing nails scattered around our property, with at least half of them near our 2 year old daughter's sandbox. They broke a PVC pipe (sewer backflow pipe) that stuck out of the ground near the house that they later had to come back and fix. Additionally, they cut into the wrong side of our attic while installing solar tunnels that also had to be patched up later due to a lack of communication with workers. We planned to finish our attic in the future and were assured by Darius that a roof exhaust fan would provide sufficient airflow and that soffit ventilation would be "overkill." It was communicated with the company that the attic would be finished in the future, and that we did not expect an exhaust fan to automatically turn it into a livable space. Two months later, we discovered that the underside of the attic roof directly above our daughter's bedroom was now covered in mold due to a lack of air flow. After multiple missed appointments (there were approximately 5 total over the course of the entire ordeal, resulting in wasting at least 3 PTO days) and failed attempts to get someone out to inspect the issue, they finally came to look at it. They then told us we actually would need soffit ventilation and that WE would have to pay to fix the problem. While they were fixing their mistake, the owner informed us that the roof had actually been installed by third party contractors. After correcting those issues, several months later our duplex neighbor noticed water leaking into her closet, something she had never experienced before. She hired another roofer, who found that Charm City Roofing had failed to install proper flashing between the two roofs which required additional repairs. Now, more than two years later, we are still discovering new issues. We are currently getting water leakage near our chimney due to large gaps between the plywood and poor sealing, which we will also now need to fix. Once again we continue to be chasing repairs and trying to correct issues that should have been addressed during the original installation. If you read this far, I think you can see why we don't recommend Charm City Roofing.

For the first time I realize I had been hearing a fair amount of outside noise (which I'd apparently gotten used to), because these windows/doors are soundproof; now I don't hear anything at all from outside! And even better, the windows are easy to open, and my sliding glass doors actually slide well in the track, and are not shaking and drafty when it's windy outside -- major improvements from my old, builder-grade, 20+ year-old windows/sliding door. Further, the service crew was excellent -- careful, kind, professional, efficient, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Roger, the foreman, has been doing this work for almost 30 years, and Jose, who single-handedly carried in/out the windows/doors, has been doing this work for 10+ years. I didn't get the name of the quiet third service person who was mostly outside and on the ladders, also very efficient. fyi, they did mention that working on the 4th floor of our condos from ladders was a bit more challenging as the original builder-grade windows had been made to fit by being packed/taped in place from the outside, which necessitated them having to actually break some of the glass to be able to pull the old windows out. But they did it - and did it well. Finally, Shaun, the project manager who gave me my estimate and oversaw the project from estimate, HOA approval process, to completion, was great. Highly recommended.
