We had them do our front door replacement. Our salesman was fine, the order came in on time and the installation was scheduled in a time. The installers were neat and pleasant and knowledgeable. Instructed us what to do for the inspector and that they would return after the inspection and place the plugs were the screws were in the new framing. All well till that point. I called the office to let them know that the inspection was done and they could return, as I was instructed to do. After 2 weeks, I had heard nothing, called again. Was told they had called and said that was our responsibility. Which they had not. I had in the meantime called 2 days after installation and said I wanted to purchase the storm door also. The manager said he would have someone come out and if he couldn't schedule that, he would personally come out. 2 weeks and many reminder calls later nothing. I called again in regard to the plugs for the frame, was told no it was our responsibility to complete and to put wood putty over the screws and have our painter paint over them. Also, he said the installers don't know what they are talking about, nice ! Needless to say, we are not happy. Very poor response from the office staff and personnel. I was very apprehensive and scared after I ordered windows from this company and saw the reviews on the Internet... The salesman was really great, but he kept pitching how he was involved with the church and that was a real turn off for me so I was even more apprehensive after paying, but we had a problem with the permit because of a previous contractor and these guys were good enough to help me model through that and get the permit for this job. Today three men showed up who did a really professional job and these windows look fabulous. The installation was horrible Openings on window trims; they were filling in with caulking. I cannot open any windows in my house because they fall down and cannot be uploaded into the groove only by 2 strong men. This is totally unacceptable. I have called for years for them to come out. Two years ago I bought all new windows from them. I got sliders with blinds between glass. The part that slides blinds up and down fell off and broke Went to ormond store and told them. They said it would take from 4 to 6 weeks After 6 weeks I called number and said where is my piece? They never had my service call. The next week I called back to find status and they couldn't find service order and never ordered part Today I called and she put in a new service and part order. She said up to 2 months. I cannot begin to express how bad of an experience hiring Window World has been. Sales person was great, knowledgeable, good samples, friendly. Ordered windows in August. Supply chain meant the windows were not installed until mid January. The installation was a mess. They left sawdust & debris in and outside of my house. Woke up and one of the windows had cracked. Meanwhile, the sliding glass door was not available to be installed until April 27. The installer did a no-call no-show on a friday that I stayed at home for. That Monday, he showed up, and during the installation, the installer broke the glass on the door. I still cannot get somebody to simply say "Yes, we have ordered the replacement and will have it by xx/xx/xxxx." I email David M, the gen mgr, I email and call installation & service. The sale was agreed to & okay with. The poor rating is for 2 important reasons: the customer service folks did not communicate well for the installation & we wasted a full day on a no show crew. On the make up day, the crew didn't clean up well. I rated them favorably on their company paperwork, then after they were gone, I found hundreds of pieces of shards of glass both inside & outside the home. That's potential for injury & unnecessary. Need better quality control & attention to detail. Be careful if you go with. The windows themselves are a nice addition to a home. Hopefully they hold up. FIRST LET ME STATE, WINDOW WORLD DOES NOT DESERVE EVEN A ONE STAR REVIEW!!!!!! I have never dealt with a more incompetent and unresponsive company. They do more lying and excuse making them I have ever seen in a company. Been waiting on a sash to be replaced for over a Year now. That's right. You heard it correctly. OVER A YEAR!!!! First person came out to replace it, last July, they had the wrong type of sash. The number they had wasn't even close to the number on the broken sash I provided. They can back again in the Fall and it was still the wrong type of sash. Didn't even come close to fitting. Then had someone come back in the winter and he put a PVC pane in the window to help with it. Told me the actual sash would be in, in January of this year. Still nada. Throughout this time I have called them probably, close to a hundred times and left messages and talked to various folks. From the front office to shipping, to managers. All of them give the runaround. Had someone supposed to come out in March, only to be told they forgot to pack the sash..... I called back mad again.....left a massage with David, the regional manager, at Window World, again....he called back and left a massage that he had me scheduled for someone to come out on the 16th of May. They would call when they would be arriving.....Guess what happened???? Nothing. yet again. No call and definitely no window. Just left another message. Yesterday Window World replaced several of the original windows in the 27 year old home we just purchased. Total project price was $8,200. While time will tell as to the quality of the product, they appear to be of good construction and look nice. The only real issue we had was with the installers. We were scheduled as the only job they had that day. The person who called to schedule said they would be here between 9 and 10 am. Since we were their only stop yesterday, we figured it would be closer to 9 than 10 so we had everything moved, prepped and our several cats isolated for their arrival by 8:30. And then we waited, and waited - until they finally arrived at 11. No calls or anything to update us. When at 10:30 we called their office, the person answering indicated they had left some time ago and tried but could not contact them, saying the manager of the installation team's phone was "broken" and none of the others were picking up, but assured us they would be here soon. When they finally arrived, the explanation was they had to stop and buy supplies - ? When they actually got to taking out the old and installing the new, I think they were a lot noisier (music, very loud talk, loud singing) than they properly should have been. I think it would be wise of management to counsel them to be as least intrusive as they can reasonably be when in a customer's home. The work itself is inherently very noisy and messy without them adding to the unease of the customer - and in our case, the several pets who really get stressed in these types of situations. In the end however, when they finally finished after 5:00pm, it appeared as if they had done a pretty good job overall. Again, time will tell. read more

It has now been THREE months and no doors. Evidently one was damaged when it arrived after eight weeks and no replacement was ordered? It has now been over four months and when I called to find out the status on my doors they told me that the doors will be shipping on 24 September. I called back today to find out the status on the doors and now they tell me that they will not ship until October 23. They have the worst customer service both the sales person and the associates continue to lie to you. I made a big mistake and paid them a full amount in the front and when they didn't deliver and I asked for a refund they told me that it was over 72 hours and that was not possible. Definitely a horror show on sales and customer service. go another route. made the mistake of ordering 26 K worth of windows for two homes. first they said its an 18 week production time-that turned into 30 plus. Also their permit person is a joke. I had to go to De Land and file the notice of commencements for both homes(one was actually AFTER the install!) The first smaller home, with12k worth of one for one window replacements. Two windows were discovered literally broken while unwrapping during installation, and one damaged frame.(out of 7 windows!) then it took 8 more weeks to get the replacement parts. 2nd and larger house. sales person was new-came by after finding out he could not sell us'slider' windows in size we wanted and had to go to traditional up-downs. rewrote ticket for $3,600 more but couldn't leave us a copy-didnt mail one later either. So 35 weeks later finally get them installed (Several 8000 series sliding glass doors,8 windows) installers worked really hard- but the sales person(s) measured windows wrong. so one guy spent literally hours 'trimming' the inner flanges off windows so they could be crammed in. They ran out of SGD trim. Now to be fair the install team worked REALLY hard-spent 10 hrs without hardly a break. The lead installer came back and finsihed trim on his own later. That inspection FAILED, but that's another story. So to top it off I get called about paying the 3600 dollar difference (now remember i NEVER got a copy of estimate or invoice). then 3 days later they file a LIEN(is it too much to ask to MAIL me an actual bill first?) Needless to say Im going to be bad mouthing these folks to all my agencies and groups-which is a fair number-and hopefully cause them to lose dozens if not hundreds of sales. Installers work and try hard-but they are sabotaged by the rest of the WW "team". Run away FAST-Choose a local who buys from a big box store even! read more

They showed up late, worked till nearly midnight and had to return to close a gap in one door installation a week later. They said they would finish after the city inspection but never did. They sent installers that don't speak English and I don't speak Spanish so telling them what was wrong was nearly impossible. They installed 8 locks that came with 2 keys per lock and that open with the same key but could not produce the 16 keys that came with the 8 locks. When I complained about finishing, the Supervisor told me they would schedule the field supervisor to come in 2 days but he never came. I called and the field guy said the installation supervisor I talked with doesn't schedule his time. Parts were not installed and a door was damaged during installation. We purchased $30,000 in windows and the $9000.00 triple sliding glass door is missing a handle because the screws were missing and no one seems to be able to fix it. The installation manager promised to install the handle a week ago and that has not happened. He does not return calls. This company relies on subcontractors and does not care about its reputation. You would think a company representative would come out and inspect the work done by the subcontractor and fix simple issues such as getting the correct screws and installing the handle on a sliding glass door. I love the impact doors and windows that we're installed by very professional installers. They were clean and efficient. My only problem is at the end when the finisher ( Frank) has to come out to caulk and put the buttons on the French doors. It took two weeks for them to schedule Frank to finish the job and he was quick, unprepared and sloppy. He didn't even have a step stool, nor was he willing to help move some furniture. After a month, I called (multiple times over the last week) and have not gotten a call back. Also, I have added a referral on my paperwork and the the person has not received it. I wanted to like this company so much. I had initially recommended them to several people already but have now told them to look elsewhere. I wouldn't mind if it was going to take some time, but the least they could do is communicate that to me. Kenny Wilson from Window World came to my home for an estimate and I am glad to have met him. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WINDOW WORLD...deceiving and dishonest! I recently bought a home in Deland in February and relocated from out of state in March. Unpacking was a priority NOT cleaning windows. When I got settled and started cleaning windows, there were parts of the internal window hardware that snapped off of 3 windows.. I was still able to clean the windows, but prefer hardware not to be broken. I finally found information in the sellers warranty info left behind along with Window World's business card with a piece of broken hardware taped to the business card. Not quality hardware evidently. I called them and I was told there was a $50.00 transfer fee and I would pay only labor to repair. As instructed by Window World, I forwarded the $50 transfer fee with my application. I received a call from Window World/386-763-1402 and was told the transfer fee was $250.00, I had an old application and I needed to do the transfer within 30 days. Not a mention of this in my conversation and not on their form. I wasn't even in my home within 30 day due to relocating from the other side of the country... and the transfer form was sent to me by Window World !!! I plan on new doors next year and it won't be Window World! There's 2 people working in the office and someone doesn't know their job and sent me an obsolete transfer form and gave me erroneous information. The transfer form should have had major details on it. Most new buyers don't have a clue who installed their windows. Window World should have honored the request for obvious reasons. It's not something I dreamed up and being a business person myself, I certainly would have created a more precise transfer form. TAKE HEED...DO NOT USE WINDOW WORLD...VERY POOR PRODUCT AND ALSO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'll take my business elsewhere. My next door neighbor who stated that Window World was terrible. We signed a contract in April for windows and siding with Window World. The salesman, Kenny, was great The windows were installed in late May. The window crew was amazing. We noticed the permit was only for windows, so we contacted the Window World office to ensure they got a permit for the siding. We were told over and over they know what they're doing, they do it all the time, etc. We contacted the Port Orange town inspector, no permit for siding was submitted for our property. We have called over 13 times. Only once was the call answered and only one call returned. On July 6th, two pallets of siding supplies were delivered. Tuesday the 7th two workers showed up. No permit. They also stated we were missing stuff, so they'd get it and be back. They finally returned July 15th. Still no permit. We had to send them away. Finally on July 24th we were emailed a copy of the permit, which was only approved the day before. In the email we were told they were mailing a copy and once we got that copy to notify them. They stated they'd arrange the inspection for the siding, which still has not been put on our house. On the 28th the two workers returned and asked if the permit was situated yet. I stated we had an emailed copy and they were mailing on. So they began work. Less than an hour and a half later, the workers left. They did not tell us they were leaving so soon or why. I went outside to find at least 5 contractor bags full of siding debris, debris on the ground, a part of our house exposed to the elements, electrical box pulled away from the wall, and cigarette butts. We called them Wednesday afternoon, as no one had contacted us to say anything regarding no workers. We were told one of the workers had injured his back and they left to find a doctor. No guarantee they'd be back anytime soon. We called again last night, the 30th, because we still have all the junk in our backyard from when they did the little work, ladders and other supplies sitting out backyard since July 7th, and two giant pallets in our front yard since July 6th (which the packaging is slowly disintegrating due to the weather), and the pallets are not secured. We were called back on the 31st assuring us that they were sending someone to secure the pallets, remove the ladders leaning against the house, and remove the garbage. It is 4:40pm now and no one has come over. Now a possible hurricane is hitting and we have ladders on our house, garbage and debris in the yard, unsecured pallets in the front yard, exposed outside wall, and an electrical box pulled away from the wall. This is insane. We will be reviewing Window World on as many platforms as I can find once the work is done. As of now I can say the salesman was great and the window installers were amazing. My windows have been installed, The inspection failed and I was told not to remove the stickers on the windows. Well, my 2 front windows had been installed months ago but the job has not been completed. So I still have the stickers on the windows from the manufacturer for over 3 months. I sent Window world pictures of what needs to be fixed on the other windows installed still nothing. I called again today and now with the COVID I assume I have to continue to wait. Called beforehand to let me know they were on their way. No charge. Still honoring their lifetime guarantee. Any time I have had an issue with one of their windows(which is 3-4 times in the last 15 years) they have taken care of the problem ina timely and satisfactory manner. On 8 Aug 2022, I signed a contract with window world, sales man Kenny Wilson, for the removal of 3 Sliding glass patio doors to be replaced with 3 Fiber glass double doors with a waiting period of approx 6-8 weeks. On 11 Nov 2022 the doors were removed and replaced. Upon completion the screw holes were left showing the screws. At this time, I was informed that the screw holes were left so that the city inspector could see the screws and the city could pass the inspection. On 11/16/22 the inspection of the doors was completed. Since that time, I have been attempting to get window world to fill up the door holes. They have sent so called "repairmen" out, but when they show up they do not have the material needed to complete the repair. They have scheduled three different appointments and have not showed up, including today March 13, 2023. Why are we frustrated; the doors were unpainted and still remain unpainted because of all the holes that were left. I would not recommend Window World to any one, including my worst enemy. It has now been nearly 7 months without a single person contacting me with the status and, after dozens of phone calls to them (on the rare occasion that they answered the phone) I was told that the contract is "in permitting". I finally decided to call the city myself and was told that the permit was issued back in December 2021! I asked where my $4,000 was for the last 7 months and why I had been continually lied to. They damaged one of the window sills cracking off tile. They also stood on our sprinkler box and broke it trying to put in on e of the windows. Advertised in the news paper the very morning we had someone come for an estimate $189 per window installed price . For 6 windows it was going to be $3200 which is more like $500 per window. Salesman said they no longer offered that price and it was discontinued last summer and I must have seen an old ad. I gave him the morning paper and sent him on his way. Salesman "did what he could" and got the price down to about $300 a window if we left one window out. Needless to say we are looking elsewhere. Very deceptive advertising. Yikes!!!! Wish I had checked Yelp first. Someone recommended Window World on Nextdoor. I guess I have a neighbor who really hates me for some reason. I ordered 2 windows that I was told would be $1,612 installed. $806 down and $806 upon installation. After 3 months, they finally had the windows. When they gave me an installation date, I had a late afternoon Dr. appointment but was told it takes only an hour to install so "no worries." It took 7 hours causing me to miss my appointment. FINALLY- they said they were done (after much damage to the interior of my newly remodeled kitchen). However, one doesn't lock and the other can't be unlocked or opened because it is upside down. They admitted that the windows were the wrong size but were told to "Make them fit." I refused to pay the additional $806 until it passed inspection. But I hadn't read the fine print, You have to pay when installed regardless of the inspection.
