Swanky place to grab a fun drink and a small bite. Staff is lovely, and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend for a date night! We came here for the Guerlain Sensory cocktail experience

We had the scent & sip experience at the bar & it was nothing short of an experience!! Tharu was amazing & knowledgeable about the scents. We got samples of the scents we loved the most. We got the tobacco honey cocktail & the neroli outrenoir cocktail. 10/10! He gave us service with a smile & it definitely uplifted our time at The Living Room. I would come back for sure!! Thank you Tharu & staff

Ambiance was lovely.I really liked the food as well. I got a mocktail since I do not drink. It's called About last night. My sister had the alcohol version of it and said that it was really tasty! The chicken was super good as well. It tasted fresh! I would definitely come back. Kim our server was amazing as well

Went to the media launch for The Living Room inside the Windsor Arms Hotel in Yorkville. Its cozy but luxurious environment is inviting and provides comfort and glam. The food we tried that are on the menu: Kobe Sliders, Nori Rolls, Salmon Crostini and the Fish were simply delicious, especially the Kobe Beef Sliders! There's an extensive list of their comfort food offerings in the menu. There's a computer desk and board games in this restaurantm which really adds to the "homey" atmosphere. The beautiful bar offers over 60 local craft beers with 2 on tap for self-serve (so cool!) and they also offer an impressive premium international wine selection.

I loved attending a cocktail party here for a vodka brand. The setting was marvelous, and you could tell the clientele was quite fancy. No complaints, the bartenders were fun and entertainment was really great. I'll definitely go back for drinks.

winterlicious '17: apps. Minestrone soup (vegan). Calamari.

Was here for Winterlicious 2017 and only slightly regret dropping $50+ on dinner since the place was so classy and romantic and the food was so good, from taste to portion size. My favorite was their vegan chocolate truffle dessert!! I loved it so much that I would totally go back just for the chocolates. If you're a fan of dark chocolate that doesn't pride itself on being sweet, but rather on the incredibly silky texture and the unique rich, bitter-salty flavor, this dessert will fulfill all your dreams :) The appetizer was most underwhelming - I ordered the vegan minestrone soup and felt that it tasted and looked like it came from a can. Nothing wrong with that, but wish I ordered the calamari appetizer instead, which was much bigger than I expected (batter to squid ratio was sad though) and came with squid ink. The salmon entree was delicious - the salmon itself was normal, but the couscous was really yummy and the berry sauce was a perfect sour and sweet balance. The service here is 5/5- our server that night was the best! He was attentive, but not overly in our faces. Most importantly, he was very candid about his opinion of the menu options. For example, he recommended against the vegan entree, which is apparently lacking in flavor. He also warned me about the non-sweetness of the vegan chocolate. Will be back again after I patch the hole in my wallet!

Came here looking for french food at the Ici Bistro. Found the Living Room instead! -- Had the Foie Gras and the Steak Tartare. Both outstanding! -- Dining room ambience is very cozy. -- Great wine selection. -- Price was in the upper range, but well worth it! Next time I am in Toronto, I will consider staying at their hotel.

I was hesitant to try this place since the reviews here aren't stellar... But I didn't want cheap summerlicious dinner and I didn't want a big crowd so I came here. Totally satisfied with the food, service, ambiance that I am leaving a review for a Toronto establishment for the first time... We ordered the fish, rib eye and pork chops - basically everything except for the vegan option - and totally impressed with the quality of the food. Great portions and not too salty! The service was top top notch. We did order oysters apart from the summerlicious menu and it was very fresh but super tiny! Overall the living room isn't a modern, cool place but it's quiet, beautifully decorated and more of an old school quality feel to the place... After all it is the Windsor arms. Take a date or a family for dinner!

I am taiwanese and I have to say this was delicious. There is someone actually making noodles in the back. Service was quick and very nice and upbeat. Our server, Sophia, was bubbly and friendly, giving suggestions and helping with the ordering process for the other person who wasn't as sure what they wanted. We eventually went with two appetizers and two entrees, which was more than enough food, and honestly, we could have only ordered one appetizer. The better of the two appetizers was the CAD 8.95 Hand Shredded Pepper Chicken/手撕椒麻雞/Shou Si Ji. The dish consists of cold chicken in a flavorful sauce, topped with some greens. The chicken was tender, with a mild, pleasant spice and a bit of numbingness from the Sichuan peppercorns, along with some fragrance, presumably from sesame oil. It reminded me a bit of salivating chicken you find in some Szechuan spots, but it was more aromatic and a bit less spicy. The other appetizer was the Steamed Edamame/岩鹽毛豆 with Himalayan pink salt for CAD 5.95. The other person chose between this and the vegetable dumplings, as he avoids pork, and it was, of course, lighter than the other appetizer. The decent portion of edamame was topped with some pickled carrots as a garnish. My main dish was the Braised Beef Noodles/紅燒牛肉面/Hong Shao Niu Rou Mian. The dish included several options, including size, noodle style, and spice level. I chose the large for CAD $20.95, medium spice, and for the noodle style, I chose flat/宽面, as it was closest to the prism style I like at Lanzhou spots in the States. Along with these, I also added a tea egg for an extra CAD 2.95. Outside the add-on, the dish also had a couple of large slices of radish. Compared to some spots in NYC, I slightly preferred the QQ/bouncy texture of the noodles at a spot near me. However, the broth was better here with a balanced amount of mala, though I would likely order spicy next time, as I tend to add chili oil to the relatively lighter Lanzhou broths. The beef was also much better, being tender with a mild chew regardless of whether it was tendon or other cuts. The tea egg was flavorful and worth the add-on, especially when the inside was dipped further into the broth. I can see why others order this. The other person went with the Signature Stir-fried Noodles/招牌炒面/Chao Tatiaozi. There was an option of protein, and he went with Chicken for $17.95 and added the same egg. I tried a bit, and there was a pleasant pepperiness with a bit of numbing flavor, but less than my dish. The noodles had a good bounciness and overall had a slightly better chewiness than mine. This was lighter overall, but also tasty. This spot has apparently come to the US already at the Mall of America, and I would love it if there were a location closer to me. Good place.

They pride in using fresh and local ingredients served creatively, and always with new ideas and dishes with the tasting menu changing constantly to match what's in season. Some of the dishes really emphasized the freshness and the quality of the ingredients, showcased in our starting dish of asparagus, egg confit, cure pork and leeks. The salt was minimal, and it tasted so clean, fresh, and well put together. Paneer with makhni was also included playing heavily on the delicious Indian flavors that were so full of umami taste, I could not believe this dish did not have meat. The chicken was one of my favorites with a smoked butter sauce. I could not believe white meat could be this tender and moist and absorb flavor so well. The fish was also great, as was the dessert, a rhubarb tiramisu to give a tangy contrast to the mascarpone cream. This was tasting menu #248, and the menu will change about every 2 weeks it seems like, which is amazing. Finally, I loved that explicitly state that tips are not accepted despite the amazing service and elevated food. The station burger was the best burger of my life. I had originally wanted to order the duck, but knew at my first bite exactly why Richmond Station is so popular. The burger came medium rare and was pasture raised beef with aged cheddar and chutney. The fries were a tiny bit burnt but still good, and the aioli it came with was great. Yum! It's also been a reliable spot to be able to book tables for large groups. However, they have poor problem resolution if there are any issues that arise. Their food is all pretty good and drinks are fairly priced. Their staff are what I would call elusive and very no frills--beyond your first order, they're a bit hard to flag down to order additional items, settle bills, or otherwise. We had an incident where my friend ordered an alcohol-free beer, but when received, they had a sip and suspected it had alcohol in it because it tasted like the regular alcoholic version. We asked the staff to confirm if the drink they poured was actually alcoholic beer on tap, or if it was an emptied can of the alcohol-free beer. The staff came back and apologized, saying it was the alcoholic beer and poured from the tap but the order placed was indeed the alcohol-free beer. My friend then requested to have the can for the alcohol-free beer instead of poured in a glass to be safe, because she was pregnant. The staff then realized the gravity of the issue and went to get the can, saying we can keep the other glass. A few minutes later, someone who I presume to be a manager came over to say she had clarified the situation again and that it was actually NOT the alcoholic beer--which at this point we weren't inclined to trust. The manager did not apologize, but instead said that a bit of alcohol is okay when you're pregnant... We didn't say anything or raise a fuss, just smiled awkwardly. We left not too long after, and we were charged for the mistaken beer as well. This experience put a bit of damper on going to this place, as it was a frequent spot we visited for decent happy hour specials. However it's evident that staff do not know how to handle special circumstances, nor do they seem to have high EQ. If you are a person with no dietary needs, no wheelchair or crutches (because it's cramped as hell and the washrooms are located on the 2nd floor), not pregnant, and no allergies, then this place is probably fine. But if you have any of the above, then you should skip it in case of incident.

My brain was incapable of processing decisions and when I saw how busy this corner of the Sheraton was, I decided this was it. I grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered a drink, and listened to a podcast to wind down. It was exactly what I needed. The drink, Nutty Times, was not only delicious but the presentation was exciting too. The bartender was witty, he advised everyone near us at the bar to whip out our phones, because he was about to put on a show. Check out the video I added! After a while, my anxiety from the day began to wear off and it was time to eat. I asked if I was able to take it up to my room as a to-go order and they said that was no-go. My first impression honestly made me wonder if it was really worth all the praise. By the end of the meal, I had my answer. Arugula Caprese Insalata A creative take on a classic Caprese salad. Arugula replaces basil, while a rich Parmesan cream stands in for fresh mozzarella, giving the dish a deeper, more savory profile without losing the freshness of the tomatoes. The balsamic balances the arugula's slight bitterness beautifully, and the juicy tomatoes cut through the richness of the cream. Fried capers add a pleasant burst of Mediterranean saltiness at the end. Simple ingredients, thoughtfully combined. Chicken Scarpariello This was easily the highlight of the meal. The chicken skin was beautifully seasoned and roasted until fragrant. Instead of being overly juicy, the meat was incredibly tender, with a faint blush of pink at the center. The Italian sausage had a firm, satisfying bite and a rich meaty flavor. I rarely describe roasted potatoes as "melt-in-your-mouth," but these truly were. The sauce, made with white wine, onions, peppers, and tomatoes, was so flavorful that I ended up using bread to wipe the plate clean--and still wished there had been more bread. Italian Love Cake A layered dessert of chocolate cake, ricotta cheesecake, and chocolate mousse. Each layer offered a different texture: the mousse was smooth without feeling heavy, the cake slightly dry, and the ricotta layer pleasantly crumbly. The texture was more memorable than the flavor, but it was surprisingly light to finish despite being a chocolate dessert. Tiramisu Although it's priced at $19.50, the portion is generous--about one and a half times the size of a typical tiramisu. The mascarpone was silky, rich, and pleasantly creamy with a touch of sweetness. The ladyfingers were well soaked with espresso and carried a subtle hint of liqueur. It tasted like a textbook tiramisu: everything was executed correctly, even if it wasn't particularly surprising. Many years from now, I may no longer remember the wildfire that day--but I'll probably still remember this chicken.
