Poor business ethics. Purchased my husband and son a suit for my husband's mom funeral. This establishment never opened to provide the suits. On the promised date of pick up; my husband called all morning and went by this establishment twice. This establishment never opened nor did anyone answer calls on the 2 numbers provided. My husband did not have a suit to wear to his mothers funeral!! The services were out of town the next day. We did not have time to get more suits. My fiancé, sister in law and I came here to buy a wedding suit. The store was empty except for two workers who saw us come in and did not say anything to us. We would make eye contact with them and they would quickly look away...after looking around awkwardly for 5 mins we left disappointed. We saw walk-ins welcome on Yelp, but maybe if we had an appointment they would have shown better customer service. Another man came in after us and they immediately helped him, he was picking up a suit. Not sure what their issue was, but we purchased our suit at the Fashion Depot (same plaza). Look for Isaac when you come to Roberts! He will treat you like a longtime family friend with the utmost care and service. He is the absolute best and the heart and soul of his father's tailor shop. I have been a customer of Robert's Suit Shop for years and love coming in to get a new flashy suit every couple of years. Not only do they have a great inventory of ready-to-purchase suits, but they are also very affordable and definitely cheaper than renting a suit from Friar Tux. When it comes to getting a custom-made suit, it may cost twice as much as getting one from Indochino but it will be much better quality than a cheap suit that gets quickly sewn in China and shipped to your door smelling like factory chemicals. Earlier this year I got married, and from the very start of wedding planning, I knew exactly where I wanted to get a suit for myself and my groomsmen. Initially, my fiancée and I went into the shop and Isaac showed us the ready-to-purchase suits they had in inventory, but when we noticed a gorgeous, shiny, custom-made suit on display we knew we had to go that route. Excitedly, we made an appointment for later that week to sit down with Isaac and design my suit. I can confidently say that the three-piece suit they made for me is the most spectacular suit I have ever owned or seen any of my friends own. We picked every little detail you could think of and more! From the style of stitching to the number of pockets, the colors and textures of the suit inside and out, and, of course, the stitched engraving of my name on the inside of the suit and the wedding date on the collar. We told my parents about our experience, and they asked if he could also make a custom suit for my dad. They repeated the same process and absolutely loved the suit he made for my dad as well. Lastly, Isaac did a fantastic job getting my groomsmen suited up. He did an excellent job in nailing the measurements for all five, even though one lived in another state and had to send his measurements via email. While he could have pushed for making them custom suits as well, he advised the best and most affordable course of action would be to order five suits of the same color from wherever he gets the ready-to-purchase suits and make small alterations to fit each of my groomsmen. Truly an honest businessman and a skilled tailor. I could not recommend this local business enough and will continue to send people to Robert's for the years to come. Awful experience. My husband got his suit tailored for our wedding, but it did not look good after the tailoring was completed, so they did more work and we picked it up the second time the day before the wedding. This time, it fit pretty well, but we did not have time or a backup so we did not look closely. He wore it for the wedding, then after we got back from our honeymoon I took the suit to get dry cleaned. When I picked up the suit from the dry cleaners, I saw that the lining on the jacket had come apart. Initially, I was going to take the suit back to the dry cleaners, but when I looked closely I found all kinds of problems with the tailoring. The dry cleaners could have done a better job, but they were set up for failure with the quality of tailoring that had been done. Here were some of the issues: 1. The pant cuffs were left raw. Any decent tailor should have known that the type of material unravels easily and needs the raw edge to be folded inside or at the very least a protective stitch. Now the pants have lost about a quarter of an inch due to fraying. (See photo) 2. The jacket lining was sewn on crooked. You can see in the photos how it is at least half an inch off. This resulted in the flexible part of the lining being stretched significantly. Additionally, the seam was crooked and not secure. The stretch in combination with the poor sewing resulted in the seam on the stretched part coming fully undone during cleaning, then fraying beyond repair. (See photo) 3. The buttons were sewn on in an incredibly sloppy manner (see photo). Two of the four buttons were not sewn in an X. Also there were an extra two stitches that went all the way through to the top layer near the buttons on one of the sleeves. This should be truly embarrassing for a professional tailor, but when I brought the suit back, Robert said that they did full quality work and refused to give even a partial refund. Full quality is crooked and irregularly-sewn buttons here at Roberts Mens Suits apparently. Robert blamed all of the issues on the dry cleaners. It takes some pretty impressive mental gymnastics to figure out how the dry cleaners are responsible for extra stitches on the sleeve, buttons sewn on incorrectly, and secure seams that do not line up. He told me they always leave pant hems raw and confidently claimed that they did full-price-worthy work. Take a look at the photos to see what full quality work from Roberts Mens Suits looks like. He also accused me of lying about how many times the suit was worn. I'm not sure how that was supposed to justify the poor work...regardless, I'm pretty certain we only had one wedding. If you're looking for someone to thoroughly and efficiently ruin a suit for an affordable price, you've come to the right place. They might even throw in some gaslighting as a bonus. read more

Absolutely freaking terrible. I remember having a fantastic experience back here in 2015 so I brought my fiance so we can pick out a suit for our elopement. Welp, this place has changed. It is tiny and wall to wall with racks of suits. There are two side rooms attached to the main room, also filled with suits. I asked if there was any sort of organization to the rooms and the response I got was "Yeah". I asked what the system was and was told "Size. And material". Verbatim, that is what was said to me. With all that fantastic information, I just started to peruse a side room. The same salesman came and stood uncomfortably close to me and told me that it is organized by size. I asked what the difference was between the 46 rack in this room and the 46 rack in the next room and the 46 rack in the main room and he said "Yeah, they're all 46". ??!? What?? Yes, I know that, but why??!? I asked if he could show me some of the more economical suits, he held up one that was priced for $550 and said "the cheaper ones have different material". I have no idea if that was one of the "cheaper ones" or what but that was enough for me to exit and stand by the door. I then watched him measure my fiance, and give him a jacket which looked super weird on him. **Side story, he wasn't even measured correctly. Next door at Men's Fashion Depot, Tony took one look at my fiance and gave him a completely different size that looked like it was made for him. We both agreed that the salesperson was not helpful and stood way too close to both of us. Don't waste your time and go see Tony next door. Creepy salesman = not worth it read more

Had a wedding to attend and was not familiar at all with suits and the cost of tapering. I had went to another tailor prior for price estimate, and he said it would cost $200 just to taper pants. So then I did some more searching and found Robert's Tailor Shop. Customer service was great and the employees immediately helped me, and took my measurements. To my astonishment, I believe the price they charged me was something like $30 or something. Was able to get my pants tapered and returned in about 5 days, and they did a perfect job.
