One of the best apartment buildings in Denver. Sure, there are a few problems - the noise on the city side of the building due to the trains, the fact that the building is so dog-friendly that they struggle with dog urine in the elevator and outside the building. But factor in the astonishing views of the mountains and city, the location - right between LoDo and LoHi and next to a gorgeous park, a heated garage, superb maintenance staff, a great and responsive front desk, friendly neighbors, a young professional community atmosphere, and a nice pool, gym, and club room, it's hard to argue that this isn't one of the nicest apartment buildings in the city. read more

The building staff is wonderful. If you have an issue they fix it immediately and are always easy to reach. The leasing/front office ladies are really nice and very responsive. I love our apartment also. It's very spacious and has tons of windows. The location is fantastic too and the gym is very equipped. One of my only complaints is the building is not very green. They have the lights in the hallways on super bright all the time and the heat blasting. They also apparently pool all the heat, electricity, water, sewage and trash (yes they charge for heat, water, sewage and trash, which were always included in my rents in NYC) for the building and then charge you a portion of that. Rather than paying for just what you use. This doesn't incentivize people to use less resources, rather incentivizes them to waste more (basic psychology). Not only is it unexpectedly expensive, it's frustrating that we are paying for other people's wastefulness. With all the green buildings these days, I'm surprised that the Manhattan wouldn't try to make some moves in the right direction. read more

My husband and I live in The Tower at The Manhattan, in downtown Denver....and here at The Manhattan they treat you like family! We've lived here for 3 years, and from our First tour of the property, to this day, the staff has paid every attention to detail, from our maintenance needs to our comfort level in our home and our satisfaction with the property! They are fast to act on anything you bring to their attention! The office staff including Casey, Alie, Logan and Marcy are always available to make sure you, as a resident, are happy and comfortable with the way things are, in and around the building! They always have time for a friendly 'Hello', and a 'Did you have a good day'? Just moved into this residence. One of the girls at the leasing office, Casey, made our move so effortless! She continues to be very helpful with any questions we have. Love the area and building, they keep it very clean, even considering how many dogs live here! The dog park is great to have next door considering we are dog owners. Absolutely loved it, the staff is amazing, Casey Brackus was always so fast to get back to me when I needed help with anything and she always had a positive attitude whenever I saw her around, it's clean and beautiful and there are always fun things going on! I've been meaning to write a review on the Manhattan for a while now but am just getting to it now. I was reminded to when we renewed our lease, and we live in the Tower. We moved in January of 2015, and are SO happy with our decision. We moved from Boston and lived in a nightmare apartment, so we were really selective when choosing an apartment in Denver. Extremely reasonably priced - we face the mountains so don't hear any noise from the train, and have a beautiful view of the sunset each night. For our 1 bed + den that's around 1,100 sq ft, we pay somewhere around $1,900 which compared to other buildings around us is a steal. (My friend literally lives across the street and pays $1,800 for a 600 sq ft 1 bed). We also never hear our neighbors, have had no noise complaints at all - and management is AMAZING. The leasing office is always quick to respond and happy to help with anything, and the maintenance staff is fantastic. Whenever I have something that needs to be fixed (even if it's just changing a bulb which I could probably do myself), they have it done within an hour. I feel very safe living here (my husband travels a lot) and there are a few cute restaurants right around the area. We also got a puppy 6 months ago and as other Yelpers have mentioned, this building has got to be the most pet-friendly building in all of Denver. My dog practically chases the maintenance guys around (or runs around looking for them) because they always carry treats in their pockets to give to the dogs. We will be renting here until we are ready to buy! read more

We lived in the lofts from July 2015 to July 2017. It started great! Then in the last 6 months the common areas were dirty, people were leaving their unused furniture in the parking garage, the carpets in the hallways were dirty and the walls were scuffed. Most importantly we lost any view we had to all the new construction going on. I love Allison in the office, she was a big piece of sunshine. But had we not bought a new home, I would not have renewed my lease because it is getting run down and has no view. I would have gone elsewhere and paid the same or less for a community that was kept up properly. read more

This place is amazing. Casey has been my leasing agent and I am always pleased with how professional and courteous she is with me and everybody she encounters. This overall staff is super friendly and responsive to everything including general maintenance. The appliances in the units are top notch and you can definitely tell the units are well cared for. I personally plan on staying here for as long as I can. The pool area and common rooms are definitely my favorite places to hang out. It's always clean and a fun time. The Manhattan is an awesome place to live! From the amazing front office staff, to the amenities (it has everything) and location, it's perfect! Nestled between downtown and the highlands, it provides walking distance to several great restaurants, bars, shops etc. and being just off the hwy there is great access to anything, anywhere! The facility and management is very good at this property, the real downside is the noise from the trains daily and nightly. We live in a corner upper north/east side flat and you cannot hear yourself sometimes with the trains coupling or wheels screeching or engines dieseling 24/7. If you are a light sleeper or crave some quietness from your hectic day do not consider this property!! Multiple engines park right in front of the building and their whistling and dinging drive you crazy. Can't wait to get out of here! read more

Location wise this place is awesome! Other than that, if you're willing to pay about $500-$1000 more than any other place in the area than go ahead. Not sure what you pay for other than hilarious people trying to show off, because they live in an overpriced apartment. If it is safety you think you're paying for than good luck, because I have seen fights and had a buddy get mugged right in the front of the building (or at least attempted, he's huge). You're better off either paying a mortgage or at least shopping around the area for a cheaper place because you will get the same value. Few other things to expect here... Elevators are constantly malfunctioning in the old building, smells like pee in the lobby, and the front desk employees are not very friendly. If you're living here now I am sorry you got robbed, you just don't know it yet. read more

I am fairly new to this property (June 2017) but I love it here. You are close enough to the downtown action to get around and be a part of that big city feel, but also just far enough out to not deal with all of the noise and craziness. I am on the side facing the train tracks, but with my balcony door shut I hear very minimal noise. The office staff is top-notch, and I always see the maintenance guys hard at work, though haven't had a need to call them yet. The location provides nearly everything you would ever need, a nearby dog park, a King Soopers very close, Union Station, Riverfront Park, a gym, pool, everything. Well worth the price. read more

I haven't moved into the Manhattan yet, but am in the process of signing a lease. I wanted to review the touring aspect of the community. Madisen was our leasing agent who met patiently with us three times. Yes, three times. We were looking for the perfect apartment and she was beyond helpful in helping us find it. She went through every option, let me see the places more than once, walked us through the application process and was really rooting for us to find the perfect place - not because it benefited her, but because you could tell she wanted us to find what we wanted in a home as well. We visited the Manhattan on our last day of two weeks of looking when my boyfriend was over it on all levels, and she greeted us with such energy and excitement for the community that she made us excited again to look for the perfect home, which we found in the Manhattan. We are so appreciative for her help and can't wait to move into the building! read more

The apartment was great and the maintenance crew (esp Terry) was super nice and helpful. The office staff, on the other hand, was VERY snooty and hard to interact with (other than Martha - she is awesome). They all walk around with chips on their shoulders and act like they rule the world (they are office workers in an apartment complex!). The rent went up by $200/year (ridiculous) and the prices were starting to rival NYC by the time I moved. The location is great but definitely not that great. I think you could do better but I never really looked elsewhere to confirm that thought. read more

All about the Money- terrible service -and lack of respect from MOST of the staff. When the person living above me got intoxicated and left the tub running for hours we woke up to the sound of water running and wondered what was wrong. After we saw leaks coming in from everywhere in the ceiling I called maintenence at 2:30 in the morning as my girlfriend and i ran around the apt. putting out pails, pots and pans. The house was uninhabitable for a week, but all they offered me was $150 a night to stay in a hotel. The problem is that's not enough to pay for any hotels with 4 miles of the Manhattan in the first place, and we looked. The upper management was not apologetic at all and i got treated throughout this entire process as if I'd done something wrong. I finally moved out after another rent increase yet again and got hit with an array or erroneous charges. We cleaned the place thorougly including the refridgerator and the stove, but the charges went from an empty kitchen sink not being clean enough to them charging me to cleaning an object free floor. Apparently at the Manhattan you're supposed to be the staff that prepares the apartment for the next potential tenant. Even though the trains are so loud that they skake you chest, and the elevator fell in on my head- something we narrowly escaped that would have sent both my girlfriend and me straight to the hospital- i never complained about that. I'm still not faulting the location for being ideal in a lot of ways- but you will be treated like a piece of meat- you've been warned. read more

This place is pretty overrated. I lived in the lofts side (fairly newly constructed) and ok is the best I can say about it. The office staff is hot and cold...it totally depends who you speak with, and unfortunately you never like going down there with any issues. The apartments on the loft side are nice, stainless appliances, washer dryer in each unit etc. but the walls are paper thin, many nights we have heard our neighbors in an argument at 2 am, which isn't what you really want when you are paying rent this high. The neighborhood has also been extremely built up in the last year or so, it just doesn't have the same feel as it once did--make sure you check it out prior to renting. Also, the freight train is still very loud in these apartments, and we keep the AC running at all times and rarely open the door. The skate park is right near by so there are a lot of skateboarders who are loud at night as well. Overall, the place is ok if you don't mind the above, and paying $150 for a second parking spot in the building. read more

I am a current resident at the Manhattan and have been living here for about a year and a half. DO NOT LIVE HERE! I usually do not write reviews however in this circumstance I feel compelled to warn others of my negative experience. The apartment complex is labeled as "luxury apartments" and charge an amenity fee, however for the last two months the elevators have been broken, usually leaving one elevator for a 12 story building full of residents. I live on the 12th story and have a dog so I was greatly affected by this, so naturally I contacted the office about this issue as they failed to give the residents proper updates about this ongoing situation. They were completely unhelpful and unwilling to reduce my rent for the month I was effected at all, for the rent all residents pay to live in that building issues should be handled effectively and efficiently , believe me when I say they are NOT. In addition, fire alarms are known to go off regularly in the middle of the night and early in the morning. They are very loud and usually last at least 30 minutes. I am moving out of this building as soon as possible, please save your self the time and trouble of living here it is absolutely not worth it. read more
