I have a 2008 Mercedes E350 original Black paint with black leather interior pretty much dull inside and out. He tinted the windows a while ago and I was very impressed with the professional attitude and customer service. Mike said bring it in, I didn't even ask what he does or what's included, the price seemed right and I wash and wax my own cars over the last 30 years, I thought I know how to detail a car. So I take my car in the morning, tell him I want it detailed. I figured I know what to expect, but when I come back in the afternoon the car is next level shiney and new. I was looking around to see if there is another car like mine in the shop because this was not the same car. He does so much more than expected, all the little things that I assumed can't be included because not enough time he some how gets it done. Chips and scratches that I assumed were perminant were gone and the paint was flawless. The interior which I thought was in good shape is now spectacular I thought faded was a natural color and is beyond repair but it now looks new again. The dash is now a deep rich color and the doors are slick but not greasy. My car went from nothing special to I love my car again and want to keep it. It feels good to drive around in and even my friends can't believe it's the same car. Don't know how he does it but so much attention to detail and he didn't miss a thing. Very impressive, I'll be back with my work truck to test his magic. All around excellent and didn't miss a thing. I'll be happy to take pictures and repost this. If you did, don't do business there My hubby let it slip when he asked to take off tint from my car (TWO WINDOWS), the guy goes $50 In fact, he just got his removed from his truck somewhere else for $20. After seeing my reaction, the guy goes "well $40 if it's cash" but still... out of us being in time crunch we did it but I had to teach my husband that's a reverse kama'aina discount so you always let them know you're local, not haole!! Beware, do not give MD Tint & Detail your business! While on deployment, the shop gouged my wife with a $565 tint job that resulted in me having to have the rubber on the window seals replaced by Toyota for over $300 because the shop used wedges and over stretched the window seal. We paid for HP Supreme 35% tint that came with a "lifetime warranty" from Solar Gard. After moving to Maryland, the vehicle failed inspection because the tint registered at 33.5% and the law here is 35%. I contacted MD Tint and Detail to make it right and they said it was covered under warranty. Solar Gard stated it was an install issue and neither honored the warranty or offered to help make it right. I took the vehicle to D&G Kustom in Leonardtown, MD and they removed and tinted for only $130! That means MD Glass & Tint upcharged 435% not to include the window damage that had to be fixed at the dealership!!! read more

I stopped in here after calling looking for an estimate to get my current tint taken off my driver side window. My tint was bubbling and impossible to see out of! I spoke with Michael who was professional and super friendly! He assured me that the tint that was bubbling on my car windows could be taken off no problem. He also offered me an estimate to replace the current tint since it might look weird if two windows didn't match (I am a bit ocd). I made an appointment to just have the bubbling tint taken off a few days later, and it was a very reasonable price. He even offered to meet at my work place in Kailua a few blocks away so I wouldn't have trouble or have to take time out of my day to have the tint taken off. When I came back a few days later for the tint to be removed Michael wasn't there but two other super friendly workers greeted me and assured me it would be less than an hour to remove the tint. I walked to target and within 35 minutes I got a phone call that my car was ready! I am so happy with how it looks and will definitely come back to have the tint replaced on the window they took it off of. This place is great, you should stop looking and go here! Michael and his team provided me with a top-notch tint service. He gave me same day service and high quality Solar Gard Window Tint. My car was broken into so I needed my window replaced and tinted. He finished the tint job in less than 45 mins. You should remember when tinting your auto windows you really need to use ceramic film. It is superior quality compared to just cheap films. I am so pleased to have found MD tinting. In the near future I will be bringing another vehicle in for replacement tinting of my front 2 windows for my truck. My husband bought a truck from a VERY heavy smoker. The cab smelled like an ashtray! We used an ozone machine and I doused the entire interior with Febreeze but the smell was still horrible. Took it to Mike, left it for a day, and it now smells fresh and clean. He did a great job and the price was good. Highly recommend this shop!! read more

Took my tundra to Mike and the boys and got nothing short of perfection. With over 30 years experience, Mike knew exactly what I was trying to get done and guided me towards the best option. Limiting the heat inside the vehicle was very important to me, so I asked about doing the front windshield which I heard was illegal. Mike said no problem- he has a special clear film with crazy UV protection for the front windshield. I was sold by the demo in the shop that shows how the film cuts the heat by placing a piece of treated glass in front of a heat lamp. I was amazed I got in same day on a Saturday and was done with the entire truck in 2 1/2 hours. 100% would go back! read more

First class work and reasonable prices. I had them detail my truck to get out some nasty water spots from my sprinklers that I couldn't make go away no matter what I did. I thought my only option was new paint, but these guys knocked it out and made it look beautiful again. After that, I dropped off my wife's car to get it detailed as a gift to her, and they didn't disappoint. Each time they were helpful, flexible, and customized the experience to get me the best bang for my buck and staying in my budget by not trying to do a "good enough" job on everything, but focusing on the areas that were important to us. I did try out a "deal" on groupon earlier this year on auto detailing in town. It took months to get a reservation, and the service was a step below McKinley car wash. It was so bad I was actually able to get a refund from groupon. My truck is overdue to for some attention, and I'm looking forward to bringing it back to MD. This time I'll be happy to pay more and let them keep it longer, because I already know I won't regret it. read more

Excellent work, quick, and friendly Downside, they're overpriced. Went looking for someone to remove my bubbling rear window tint. Tried another place first called Prestige in Kaneohe, but needed it done sooner than they could accomplish it. Prestige referred me to them after quoting me $40 for tent removal (rear window of 06'BMW 325i) and ~$160 for removal and replacement. MD got me in about 20 min after I called and had it done about an hour later. They steamed off the rear tint, and charged $104 for removal alone. Soooo like I said overpriced, but very friendly and excellent work. read more

Absolutely fantastic work at a very fair price with customer service of a bygone era. That was my experience with MD glass tinting & auto detailing in Kailua. I was rejuvenating a 2006 Honda Odyssey van that had been working very hard shuttling children all over town for years with little to no maintenance. The interior smelled, the carpet was packed with dirt, there were roaches and the seats were stained. I planned to have the arm rest reupholstered because I thought there was no way to clean the ground in dirt and oils that had been building for years. After Michael and his team were done with the car's interior, I was speechless! They gave this worn van new life. Horrible customer service! I was referred to this place by an auto shop to get my car detailed because the auto shop I went to was suppose to have it detailed by them, but they didn't know. So I called & made an appointment for a detail myself. Not only did they insult my husband when he made an honest mistake, but when they called 20 minutes after my husband dropped off the car for the appointment, they talked very rude & asked, "So what are we doing to the car?" I replied, "Detailing it" and he said irritated, "I know but what? Vacuum? The rugs? The Windows? All the inside?" I thought detail meant everything so I didn't really understand why he was asking that. They did a good job detailing the inside of the car but the customer service needs to be worked on! read more

Decided to give a small shop some business. Needed tint removed on my work daily driver, older 4 door car. Well, I paid 130 bucks and had ripped tint pieces on the floor in my car and the plastics on my doors ruied from the chemicals they sprayed on it. If owner wants to dispute this review, I'll take the time to post pictures of it. Mind you I've had a navigator and two tahoes done at one of the "big shops" and everything was flawless. read more
