We had a great time at Wine and Canvas. The instructor Joe (?) was very friendly and patient. The owner lady who did the bartending was also pleasant, contrary to some reviews that I had read about her. It was a small class on a Sat night, less than 10 people. The painting we did required a lot of color and blending. We ran the entire 2.5hrs and a little longer but we didn't feel rushed out of there. Obviously in hindsight sight there's always a few edits and touch ups that you wish you could've done, but my wife and I were happy with how the pieces turned out. I am a huge fan of these paint and sip classes! I need to start going to more of these because it really brings out the creativity in me. A peer in my meetup group hosted a girl's night out here on a Saturday night. I think there were maybe ten of us, plus there were five other people there that weren't part of our own group. We all purchased tickets about a month in advance, which were only $29 per person. What was also special to me about this night is that it fell on a palindrome day - 5/24/25. I checked in with our host once I walked in. His name was Joe, and since I got there a little early, he said that I could pick up my apron, explore around, and maybe get a drink at the bar before we began. Yes, they have a bar! I decided to try out their lemon tango cocktail, which had that sunset-like color to it and totally matched the theme that we were going to paint. The theme of the night was titled Orange Moon Set. I'm not perfect at drawing circles by all means, but when it was time to paint the moon, I think I did a pretty decent job at drawing one. We painted for about an hour before taking a ten minute break. During the break, I decided to get another drink. This time, I got myself a glass of Chardonnay white wine, which is probably one of the strongest white wines that you can get. Before the break ended, Joe announced that he would be spinning a wheel, and our seats had a famous artist's name on it. If the name on the seat matched the one on the wheel, someone would win, spin the wheel again, and take home a painting or two (or three!) or receive a free class. He also announced a blacklight paint class that's coming up in the next few weeks and a "paint your own pet portrait" class in September. The class wrapped up after we painted the clouds and the trees. We then all got together for a group photo once we were finished. This was a memorable night for me and I'm looking forward to the next one in the future. I'm definitely interested in the blacklight paint class! We were there yesterday with a group of 8. Arrived early and they seemed to chastise us for being timely. They were horribly disorganized. Very poor materials, way too large a class for the staff they had. I'm sure they are raking in the cash at the expense of their customers experience. We won't be going again!!!! read more

Awesome experience! It was $29 for a ticket and add $10 for unlimited mimosas. It lasted for around 2.5 hours and I felt like an artist. We would follow the instructions of the head artist and today we painted sunflowers. Good for big groups or date night. It's super chill and you can be an artist for the night! The paint part was awesome and so much fun. The instructor was great. The 2 stars is for their awful customer service. From delays responding to emails to the cranky lady working the bar. I was double charged. Simple as that. I was offered a credit which I couldn't use for the other dates I wanted. The icing on the cake was when I was directed to speak to the old cranky lady at the bar area since she handles the billing. I told her I was double charged, have been calling and emailing all week. Her response was 'we don't double charge, you clicked purchase twice.' I tried to book another party with my new found credit but it was incredibly difficult to do. They offered a BOGO event for glass painting and it sounded awesome. I rallied some friends and there were 8 of us for yesterday's 2:30 class. We were all so excited until....80 people showed up and it was completely disorganized and chaotic! I felt so bad for inviting my friends to such a horrible experience, but not once did the "instructor" take responsibility for it! We waited over an hour just to select crappy dollar store glassware. Most of the people had barely any selections by the time they got up. No instructions were given, the supplies weren't handed out timely and the so-called "instructors" became very irritated when we all asked for supplies. I'm sure they racked in the cash off this one! Most people left with unpainted items since we only had about 40 minutes to do anything. Terrible experience and would never recommend. read more

This was a fun experience, as most painting classes are. The staff were quick & efficient at checking people in and well prepared for all of us patrons. The instructor we had on our visit was very friendly, fun, and had a great personality. We really liked him as someone to interact with. However, as a teacher, some instructions weren't very clear, he rushed through several portions, and many just didn't feel lead properly through the process and were lost at times. But nonetheless, he still made the class enjoyable thanks to his character and vibe. The bar & snacks area has limited options, so don't expect a full service bar or snacks. My least favorite part of the experience was just that they only had 1, single person restroom. There was a line of folks waiting to use the restroom on at least two occasions during the night. Ultimately, our painting experience was a very good experience and we enjoyed our evening. Well worth the visit! read more

Went with 7 friends. There were 80 people signed up for the class, so you sit for over an hour doing nothing before the owner decides to start. It's Very poorly orangized and the owner talks down to you!!! I would suggest finding a smaller place where you can use your time wisely. read more

Went to a 2:30 wine glass painting class. It was very disorganized and there were way too many people. Most of the decent glassware was gone before our table was called up to select pieces to paint. The tables weren't set up with painting supplies prior to the class. As a result, we sat there for an hour and 40 minutes before the paint brushes and other supplies were handed out. When our table finally got our painting supplies it was 4:10, which left very little time for the last 2 tables to paint. Many people left the class with bare, unpainted glassware. Not good. I have been to canvas painting classes here, which were fine, but this was such a bad experience, I don't see myself coming back. read more

This was my first time visiting here. I have been to other paint and sip places before. I received a Groupon for Wine and Canvas as a gift so I was excited to try it out. If you have a Groupon just be aware that you cannot reserve. You are considered a walk-in so just be sure to check that there are still spots available for the painting and day you choose and that you arrive on time or a few minutes early. The overall experience here was good! I enjoyed the painting and I feel like the class was fun. The instructor was also great when it came to explaining things and I was able to follow along easily. I thought the paining for the night was a cute and fun one! There are drinks available for purchase. My group and I decided to go with a pitcher. We love coming here to paint! I've been here about 12 times in 2 years. It's fun, the room is big open and comfortable with a lot of beautiful art work to look at. The instructors are very nice and helpful. Joe is awesome and I don't feel overwhelmed or stressed when he teaches. Smooth slow pace no rush. Because it was Sunday, I wanted to switch up my usual uneventful day . My mom is visiting, so I always love introducing new things to her. Both of us have never done anything like this before, so we were both excited to try something new! The place is family owned. The artist with 25 plus years of experience is the daughter. And the bartender is her mom :) Mom is also the assistant and comedian, lol (great sense of humor) The artist was very patient, and you can tell that she definitely loves her job. She's a natural born teacher ! While teaching us how to paint, she also walks around the class to assist the novice "artists" like myself, LOL! She made me laugh as I constantly criticized how my sunflower looked like a volcano or California bush fire! She laughed and said, "Don't be so hard on myself. I said thank you, but I know a fire when I see one, and that was definitely NOT a sunflower. " LOL (see pictures below) For the drinkers, you have the option of bottomless mimosas, cocktail, and wine menu. Along with lots of snacks. They also played games , so you had the opportunity to win prizes. Great music, too! Oh- ask about their punch cards, too. For every ten punches, you get a free class. My partner and I had our annual client party here in early May. A great time was had by all. The staff, led by Jackie, was awesome and helped make our event a huge success. I got a deal on Groupon and went by myself on my birthday. I ended up getting there early and met a very nice young lady who there alone also and she bought my bottomless mimosas for my birthday. How sweet right? The person showing us how to paint was so very sweet and helpful. She just went a bit too fast when teaching and we all felt rushed. There was a game at played in the middle of of our painting and people won gifts. The bottoms drinks were okay but cause we were painting, out was difficult to get refills. They should have had him coming around to the people who purchased the mimosas or need any drink period so we don't miss anything. It was a great experience and will be coming back again. She is extremely rude and cheap and tries not to give supplies such as water that's needed to dip your brushes. She shame people if they don't do it right. Several years ago I took up painting as a hobby. It started with a paint and wine type place similar to Wine and Canvas. I went to several more with a different company that had a tendancy to be at a different location each time. And then there was Wine and Canvas. I came here as a part of an event way back then. Long before I actually lived on the same side of town. Now, with it practically down the street for the past 6 years, I have made my triumphant return. I had not done any painting in a few years. I sort of lost my talent and moved on to other hobbies. But I was looking at an open space on my wall and wanting to fill it with a new painting. I looked up Wine and Canvas and saw that they were doing a Monet bridge at the gardens in Giverney. Well, I happen to be a Monet fan so this was perfect. Luckily there was still space available. Class was scheduled to start at 6:30. It started a bit later than that after everybody had gotten their drinks. After painting the background, water, and most of the plants it was time for a break. Before we started painting again they did a wheel spin for prizes. Free drinks. Free classes. Free popcorn. Cool prizes but I didn't win anything. Soon we were painting the bridge and adding the finishing touches. Instruction was clear for this painting. Some people seemed to struggle to keep up. I did not. In the end, I came away with a new painting to hang on the wall. Not my best but still a pretty good painting. This has not fully reinvigorated my desire to paint but it has satisfied that urge for creative release. I'll continue to watch their webpage and see if anything else strikes me fancy. read more

Just poor customer service. After attempting multiple times to get a reservation then was told they would be closed during the week that my Groupon expired then being told that they could not extend the expiration date or accept the Groupon after that expiration date even after I sent them information from groupon that showed they could extend it and or accept the value of the Groupon and I would have to pay the difference, they still didn't want to accommodate me. My friend broke her arm during the time that I was trying to get these appointments and hence, the request for an extension. Just indifference and not willing to work with me. $29/person for a Friday night 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm session.... Yes, please. Arrived at 6:00 pm when they opened the doors as I seen other people mention getting there early to snag a good seat. There were only 14 people for last nights painting so seating wasn't a problem. Check in at the front with the owner/instruction Joy (don't need the bar scan cause they will have your name). Pick your seat and set up your blank canvas. Then head to the bar area where Joys mom is and get a drink and or snack. If you check in on Yelp, you will get a free popcorn. For drinks, you can get wine or a small selection of beers. Snacks are chips, popcorn, some candy. They did take cards for payment. After settling in, they started promptly at 6:30 pm. Joy and her mom were making sure everyone had what they needed and just made sure everyone had fun. You don't have to be an artist to enjoy this. There are a couple breaks for about 5 minutes to let your paint dry before moving on to the next section of your painting. Halfway through the painting session, Joy brought out a wheel and gave away a few prizes and that was super fun. I won a bottle of wine and my boyfriends mom won a free drink which was a nice surprise. My boyfriend, his mother, and myself really enjoyed our time. The only negative was the temperature was quite warm so make sure to bring a jacket that you can take off, if needed. Other than that.. wonderful time. This is the second time I've been there. I definitely enjoy myself and it is an easy relaxed atmosphere. The lady that runs the class is very fun and takes plenty of time for us. When I was there before you were given one glass of wine or soft drink. That's no longer the case. I also was not fond of the colors that were on our plate. I came home and repainted 50% of it. I added the lettering "give thanks "myself because it's very difficult to paint letters. I would still go back again, but I wish for the $35, they would include at one drink. read more

The class is fun but.... Instead of seating 20 people at 2 tables so we could all see, they sat us all at one long table making it difficult to see what the instructor was doing. I was #20 and could see nothing he was doing because of distance and other customers bobbing back and forth straining to see too. Also, the instructor stood in front of his painting so all we could see was his back throughout the session. The videos available on the screens were close ups of his hair. Last, you get one plastic cup of water and the notes on the table say you will be charged for a second cup of clean water. Dirty water makes it hard to thoroughly clean the brushes in between colors. Other similar businesses turn the music off during instruction and turn it back on while we paint. This guy yelled and competed with the piped in 70's music the entire night. Unpleasant experience on every level and would not return here again. There are too many other sip and paint businesses in town that create an enjoyable atmosphere. If i could rate it would be zero stars. I normally don't post reviews, but this company is very unprofessional and rude. I purchased tickets last night and this morning was not 100% sure if I could make it so I called and it said on the voicemail to text. I texted at 9:12am asking if they would refund if I wouldn't make it, 10:09am approved refund for class that started at 11:00am. All was good, at 1:15pm after class, got a text that I'd receive a voucher instead and they weren't sure when they would do the canvas I wanted again. Then they get rude saying "I can either give you a credit or not" and stating I didn't ask for refund before 48hrs.. I actually could have made the class if they didn't lie, but they mislead me and then tried to put the blame on me after they didn't want to refund anymore. I asked for a paper plate to help with the shape of the moon and was denied. A paper plate! What's the cost of one paper plate? .01 - .02 cents if that?! If you've been to one wine & paint spot then you've basically been to them all. It's the same old drill for the most part - aprons are provided, paint and canvases are included, drinks are not included but are served and the instructions do a step by step method. I think the main difference with Wine & Canvas was that beer was also available for sale as well as wine cocktails and full bottles. I did enjoy the free Popped popcorn with a Yelp check in & the instructor was super fun and made lots of jokes throughout class. The one thing I did not care for is how slow the class went. We didn't utilize any blowdryers so waiting for the canvases to dry in-between steps took quite awhile. I feel like it was a bit of a ploy to get people to buy more drinks. Either way it was alright. My painting ended up being somewhat cute and my plus one had a blast. I'm not sure I'd come back to this particular place just being the location was a bit odd. read more

Oh my goodness! I have been to other painting classes and have often felt rushed. Not here!!! The girl that taught us to paint was incredible! She was funny, patient and knowledgeable. She explained things clearly over and over, because we had a slow learning class. Although this place is on the other side of town for me I would go back just because of her. I liked how they had a spinning wheel that I got to spin for a prize. Some of their prizes were silly, but others were really good! This made it extra special! The prices compare to other painting places and there is not much that separates them from their competition, but the customer service is to die for! read more

Many years of watching Bob Ross I always wanted to be able to create a masterpiece, but let's be honest my artist skills are lacking. After attending a class at wine and canvas, I felt my inner Bob Ross come out and created my very own masterpiece. I was very intimidated, but the instructors walk you through it and like magic, some paint on a blank canvas becomes a beautiful picture, well maybe not quite like the professionals, but it's fun because it's your creation. Not as enjoyable as Jan 2024 class. New instructor in May 2025 was instructing too fast and we were trying to keep up. Some instructions not at all clear. Approx 20 people crammed together on one long table, barely any room for easels and supplies. Lots of empty tables there so plenty of other space available. Hard to get brushes clean in the cup of water provided that was discolored with dark paint after first brush used. One paper towel provided, had to ask several times for another. Had a group of 6, called and left explicit info in my message to reserve spots, got text back saying reservation confirmed, got there and was told it should have been made through email, so we did not have seats together because we did not all check in at same time. They refused our request to ask if anyone could move, but a nice couple stood up and said they would be happy to move. The older lady (owner?) running the place is quite rude. Need better customer service if you want repeat business. Need more space between patrons. Doubt we'll be back a 3rd time. read more
