Not the biggest liquor store but they carry local and international wines and liquors. I did find Earle Estate Meadery meads. Alas, no Blueberry Bounty. They do have great deals on the double sized Niagara Landing wines. Some flavors were on sale for $13.99, which is $4-6 less than anywhere else. Even the ones that weren't on sale were only $15.99. Let me start by saying that staff member Darryl is an absolute rock star. He was so helpful and knowledgeable that I will certainly return to this store even though its not the closest to home. The selection on wines and liquors is pretty broad with a vast price range and pricing seems very fair in the comparative market. I also attended an event hosted by Wine World outside of the store itself and met staff members Jake and Ian as well, there were some hiccups with the event itself and they were all genuinely apologetic and understanding of the frustration. Best Liquor & Wine store in the area. Super convenient and fast to get in and out of. With the 10% on Liquor/ 20 % Wine promotion (runs for two weeks every month), you will be hard pressed to find better pricing around. Horrible experience at this liquor store. I tried to use a coupon (that Wine World e-mailed me), and the "clerk" said"I am trying to figure out where you got this coupon from". I explained to him that their website is not functioning properly;y so I printed it from my gmail account. "Sir, our website works fine", was this ass clown's response to me. Must be nice to have a liquor store where you do not have to satisfy tour customers. Live and learn, I will not return to an establishment that I pay to call me a liar. So, I have waited a day and am now calm enough to write this review. I would like to start by saying that this store is what I consider to be my local liquor store. It is close to my home, my grocery store, my bank, and my pharmacy. So, yes, I go there a lot and have been doing so for years. At Christmas time it is not unusual for me to spend between $350-$400 there. I would say I frequent the store 2-4 times per month, definitely more in the summer. The same woman is always working so she should definitely recognize me. I am also a "rewards member". Not sure what that means but basically you give your phone number and or name when you check out and accrue "points" which lead to a $20.00 discount. I kid you not, since the beginning of August, every time I check out I have been told "one more visit and you should have enough points for your $20.00 discount". Also every time I check out and this woman is at the counter, she makes it clear that this rewards program is a serious issue for her. We're talking eye rolls sighs, abrupt body language and speech- you get the idea. Well yesterday things escalated a notch. I walked into the store and said hello to this woman ( as I always do) and she literally turned her back and walked away from me. I gathered about $80 worth of merchandise (my typical haul) and proceeded to the checkout counter where my good friend was waiting. She immediately stated scanning my items as I was attempting to mention my rewards account. Apparently that was strike one for me. She then glanced at the register ( presumedly to check my points) and asked if I knew about a coupon. I said no and she said she would "give it to me anyway". I then stated that I would like to use my $20.00 discount which really seemed to anger her. She snapped that she would have to take the coupon off if I used the discount. I knew pretty much at that point that I was never returning to this store so I indicated that that was fine. I'll let you use your imagination as to the reaction I got after that. She then reluctantly boxed my items and was joined by a coworker who stated "you can leave our cart here in the store. We'll put it away", leaving me to hand carry a heavy box of bottles to my car in the rain. I happily lugged my box out of the store, knowing for certain that I would not be returning ever again. For the record: I always return the cart to its original place in the store and this woman used to thank me and comment that I didn't have to do that, which brings me to my next point. This very same woman used to be extremely friendly and over the top helpful to me every time I entered the store. I have racked my brain to try and figure out what had changed and determine a time frame for this turn of events. I have been able to narrow the time frame to "Post-Covid". I respect all social distance guidelines and mask up whenever in public places so certainly that is not the issue. Anyway, I have done some research and have discovered that there are two smaller family owned liquor stores nearby (one in CrossPoint and one on Transit) who have coupons in BN Bargains and The Clipper almost weekly. There prices are excellent and they deliver service with a smile. Im pretty sure they even have a rewards program. Lol. read more

I have been shopping at Wine World for many years. During the pandemic, they have been extremely accommodating. I order my wine online, and then do curbside pick-up. They are always friendly and go above and beyond. I find their prices reasonable and competitive, as well. I've basically shopped at 3 different area liquor stores, and Wine World has the best prices. read more

Terrible customer service! Drove all the way there from Clarence to use my 20% off coupon that I received in the paper for liquor. After my purchase, my receipt showed only 10%. Went back in the store and the clerk said it was a misprint and he would not honor the coupon that they printed in paper. Poor choice on my part...I'll never go in Wine World again! read more

With most doing the responsible thing right now by practicing social distancing I try to limit shopping. We enjoy wine with dinner from time to time and our stock at home was getting depleted. I looked on line for somewhere that would deliver. Wine World delivers and their website was easily sorted to find our favorites. I found their prices to be competitive and their delivery fee reasonable. There were two levels of delivery pricing by location. Mine was the most expensive but still a reasonable $8.00. Our local liquor store offers delivery but their website didn't display their products. Wanting several different bottles asking what they had wasn't going to work. Easily found what we wanted on Wine World's website and set up delivery for the next day. Their driver called to confirm our location and his arrival time. I was able to put his tip on the online payment to keep with the social distancing. He arrived when he said he would and placed the wine in our garage. He was very friendly and courteous. This may be the way to buy our wine around the Holidays in the future to save time and avoid crowds. It definitely is the way now for social distancing. read more

I was here for work and wandered the aisles for quite a while. They have a great array of wines and an even more interesting selection of other stuff (Ouzo, Sake, strange vodkas...) Love this place! It's right around the corner from my house. the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about the liquor and wine. They have even helped out when I was trying to explain something to them and they figured it out for me. They also ordered a case of wine that they didn't carry which I was okay with taking it all home. Much friendlier than their neighbors at Consumers. read more

My biggest problem with Wine World is the staff, so rude! Here's a recent transaction of mine at Wine World while making a $62 purchase of spirits: Me: Can I have a rebate receipt please. Clerk (Storage Manager) Why? Me: For the Skye Vodka. Clerk: You'll get a receipt. Me: I need an extra one to send it in as required by the rebate. Clerk: grumbling under his breath gives me one. Hey Wine World! I never even have to ask for a rebate receipt at Premier. Their computer picks up that it's a rebate item and they automatically give me one. Although it's more of a drive for me, I will make all future purchases at Premier or elsewhere. This isn't my first experience with RUDE staff at Wine World. One note it's always the oldest staff (and believe it or not, the manager!) that is least helpful and most put out by even the smallest request.
