Cleanest, cutest & most friendly store out there. It's challenging to not want to purchase every single thing you see. They have the freshest marinated meats, such as turkey tips. They have an abundance of side dishes all made in-house. There is an area where they pre-package side dishes for convenience. Though be aware that some of those items are not made in-house. I think that some of the pasta salads come from MA or other New England states. The packaging does indicate this, though. Every time that my husband & I go here, we are greeted like we are friends. The employees at this location are all helpful & if one of their coworkers started with you but waited on someone else while you were still looking, they work as a team & will help one another. I have yet to visit the Pembroke store; it's a 2 minute drive from work & would be more convenient. It's located in the same building as Veano's (door to the right when you enter). read more

We were camping at Ellacoya State Park and my husband happened to wander in (thank goodness!!)! bought steak tips and the honey chicken salad. Let me just say that we travel full time and have been on the road for 25 consecutive months. Let me also say we are self confessed food snobs. With that said, you should begin to understand we have eaten lots of different foods from lots of different places. Now, hear me when I say, those steak tips were the best we have ever had! The tips are large enough to grill, marinated to perfection and amazingly tender. My husband bought 2 lbs and that was enough for 3 separate meals for the two of us. The chicken salad was also amazing. Perfect consistency and excellent flavor. The only thing I am sad about is that we have left the area and won't get any more of their perfection served up on a platter until we visit again. If you live in the area, what a resource you have! Go and enjoy and think about poor us missing out. The owner was friendly and helpful in pointing my husband in the right direction for making selections. His daughter was super helpful with a few stickers for our rig! Just an over all great experience! I addressed my issues on Monday with a very nice employee regarding my problems I was having when I have been to your store but you obviously don't care because it's been 4 days and I have not heard back from anyone which I find very sad because I work in this area and will make sure I let everyone know how I was treated and my daughter when we were in your business!!! Obviously higher priced than Hannaford's deli/butcher but usually worth it. The grill master and turkey tips are GF which we look for (not our choice but such is life). We did buy the $79 summer BBQ special but disappointed that no substitutions were possible. Many in our family need to stay gluten free so the two salad options were not swappable. That policy needs a closer look especially if we go there for good GF food. read more

I ordered a turkey breast for Thanksgiving and asked to have it brined. Billy at Wineing Butcher in Gilford prepared my order, and I got exactly what I asked for - a six pound brined turkey breast. I have been cooking Thanksgiving turkeys for over 50 years, and this was hands down the best turkey I have ever eaten! It was tender and moist, and the carcass made a great soup. So I bought cole slaw and potato salad that was clearly bad. It smelled and it tasted horrific, I got sick from one spoonful. Bottom like drove 3 miles back and they said it's not package you just don't like it. Please stay away as there meat taste bad too. I had to throw it all out. I have been going to the store for approximately two years. I was always pleased with the availability of multiple varieties of well cut meats. At my visits in the past several weeks, I have been very disappointed. You are frequently out of cuts and varieties that I have been accustomed to and the cases themselves are uninviting. The overall quality of the store seems to have changed. Perhaps it is because it is slower in the winter, though I have not seen the same quality change in winters past. I can only hope there will be a return to the previous quality soon. read more

I splurged and bought over $100 of bourbon steak tips and Key West Turkey tips along with Red Bliss Potato salad for a July 4th dinner with guests this past week. While I can live with the Covid 19 store customer limits and social distancing and having to wait about 1/2 hour to enter the Gilford NH store what I can't tolerate is the quality of the product they are now selling. It used to be my favorite place for great tasting meats and salads! Well no more... the turkey tips are not prepared in a quality butcher manner every single tip was full of gristle. Not a pleasant eating experience at all! The tips were good but the red bliss potatoes salad was the worst I have ever eaten!!! The vinegar and dill way over powered the salad and made it bitter! So sad this establishment has gone down hill and still charging outrageous prices. Safe your money get meat at the grocery store and marinate it yourself! The wings were old and tasted funny after cooked , $11 wasted, I had to throw them out. The taco shells and jalapeños expire the day after I bought them. This was their second and last chance. Go to Hannaford better quality and prices there! read more

Steak tips were good but the employees are horrible. Went in for $70.00 worth of steak tips and 2 burgers for a member of my group that doesn't like tips. They rang the burgers in as 6.99/lb. that were clearly marked 5.99/lb. When I brought it to the attention of the clerk he called into the back room for Adam who rudely said they were 6.99. I pointed out to him the sign said 5.99 and the law states that if it's listed at a stated price, it has to be sold at that price. He responded with "well it's wrong, there 6.99 and quickly replaced the tag. Since we're only talking a whopping .60¢ I dropped the issue as he was clearly exercising his power as the highest ranking employee in the store. Thanks Adam for making my shopping experience great! I called this morning looking for a whole lemon roasting chicken that we have gotten from them many times before. Sadly, they no longer had it. HOWEVER, the gentleman that I spoke to told me that if I went to grocery store, picked up a whole Perdue roasting chicken and bring it to him he would gladly season it and cryo vac it for me. I was floored that he was willing to do that for us!! We are in there quite frequently, but this was the first time we wanted something that was not their norm but did it anyway. Went there today to get ground pork like I do every year. I was told they don't do that and I said I never had a problem getting it. I was told by the woman they're too busy this time of year and can't just do it. There was only one other customer in the store. she told me life changes in a snarky way.then I was told I could come back tomorrow because they'll be grinding pork for another customer. The marinated tips have been less flavorful of late. After I get my pork tomorrow I will not be going back. read more

Went here today for the first time.we just moved to concord and had been used to fresh market in Bedford so we were looking for somewhere good. For some reason I was under the impression they had fish also so it was disappointing to not have any (although the guy at the counter said they would have more of a selection soon hopefully) we got some steaks and chicken. The steak tips were amazing. Definitely better than anywhere else I have been so far in NH. I thought it was cool that the guy recommended camp mix to us also.
