There's a full service food/deli counter & grill offering breakfast items, sandwiches, pizza, special comfort dishes, sides, and Roadies Chicken meals (pay for your food at the front register). Grocery items are on the pricey side (the closest supermarket is 9 miles away) and the prepared foods prices are reasonable. The layout inside this old fashioned general store with old wood floors is pretty cramped and packed. There's also a self serve table seating area in the side room which also has bagged ice and DVD rentals. On the way out to the eastern Lakes Region, I stoppped here for breakfast takeout. They already had cheese pizza slices in the glass case, which looked dry. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (with egg & sausage on a roll), hash browns, and coffee. However, the breakfast sandwich was just okay since there was a normal sized round fried egg with a grilled sausage patty and a whole lotta soft chewy roll (too much salty bread ratio to the proteins between the bun). The hash brown patty was deep fried crispy, almost identical to a McDonald's hash brown. The cup of Green Mountain Coffee (original) was very hot and brewed just right. The parking in front is a bit tight and there's also parking along Maple Street in front of the store.

On September 21, 2026, my fiancée and our friend visited Beans & Greens and purchased multiple items from the business. They also placed a food order and were given a pager. They then waited for more than 40 minutes for their order. During that time, they repeatedly asked staff members about the status of their food. Multiple employees instructed them to continue waiting. Meanwhile, they observed other customers arriving, receiving their orders, and leaving while their own order was not provided. After waiting more than 40 minutes, it appeared that their food order had either never been entered or had otherwise been disregarded. In addition to the unusually long wait, both described the manner in which staff interacted with them as dismissive, patronizing, and disrespectful. They felt they were being belittled and treated as though they were less deserving of attention or service than other customers. Both my fiancée and our friend are Asian. Neither of them normally attributes poor customer service to race, and neither entered the situation expecting or looking for discriminatory treatment. However, because of the combination of their order apparently being ignored, repeated dismissive responses from staff, and other customers being served while they continued to wait, both left the business questioning whether their race or ethnicity contributed to how they were treated. When we came for lunch with a smaller party, we decided to sit at the bar instead which is on the other side of the building and more of a dive bar feel: an Irish pub. All of the meals were great, but we preferred sitting in the bar and got much faster service there during our lunch. We went inside and the fruits and veggies were beautiful. We started looking at tomatoes and Dennis (owner?) insisted on getting us more to choose from. We had a nice little conversation about growing basil while they were pricing tubs of corn chowder. Dennis asked if we liked corn chowder and we said yes, so he told us he was giving us a tub of his to try cause it will be the best we ever had! While it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was pretty damn near close! The corn was great, the tomatoes were great, the squash was great! The pick your own blueberries were delightful!
