The only logical reason to keep it open seems to be avoiding cleaning it at close. Both surf & turf steaks arrived undercooked, and everything was wildly overpriced. Since we had our pup with us, we chose to sit outside on the patio, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Alyssa was our server, and she was absolutely fantastic. You could tell she truly enjoys her job--she even shared that she's been with the restaurant since it first opened at this location. She was personable, polite, and friendly, all while doing an excellent job taking and delivering our order. One thoughtful touch that stood out was when she surprised us with a pancake and toppings to try, knowing we were visiting Colorado Springs. It was such a kind and memorable gesture. We went on a weekday, so there was no wait for seating, which made the experience even more pleasant. Overall, we had a great family breakfast, and much of that was thanks to Alyssa's outstanding customer service. The school pizza I had in elementary school blows the pizza I tasted from my child's dish that day out of the water. My father had specific dietary request and the kitchen totally ignored that. Sometimes it happens and the server forgets to bring culturey and napkins, but oh my gosh, it was a wait. Imagine eating chips and guac right off the bat and not having anything to wipe your hands on, and then that continued throughout the whole meal. It was quite busy that day, a saturday.
