The gravy that came with the fried chicken, scramble eggs and hash browns was delicious. I could not finish my hash browns. My husband also enjoyed his biscuits and gravy. Good is always yummy at both the urban egg locations we've been too and staff are always friendly. This one's hash browns were a little cold though. The layout is a bit confusing, but not enough to turn you off. Overall it's a great place for families and the good far outweighs the "not so bars". read more

Stopped here after a fasting lab appointment ready for a nice breakfast. Restaurant was not crowded and we were seated right away. Server came by and took our drink orders and brought drinks. We then sat for about 15-20 minutes without our orders being taken. Server was all over the place delivering food and settling bills. Other servers walked by several times seeing us waiting. We finally gave up and walked out after informing the hostess of our experience. No effort was made to resolve the issue. We frequently dine here and even when very busy the service has been good. This time not so much. Food here is great (when served), although it is a bit on the pricey side. Urban Egg delivered a great overall experience. The service was impeccable from start to finish, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, which always makes a difference. I ordered the Tuscan Eggs Benedict, and flavor-wise it was excellent. The sweet balsamic added a really nice depth and balance -- easily one of the highlights of the dish. That said, one of the eggs came without a yolk, which was disappointing, especially for a Benedict. The staff did correct it quickly, which I appreciated, but the replacement still resulted in only one proper yolk, which took away from what could've been a perfect plate. Overall, great food, great people, and great service -- just a small execution miss on a dish where the yolk really matters. I'd definitely come back and give it another shot. read more

We started with a round of coffees (don't miss the mocha!) and shared the Cinnamon Rolls with bacon jam - they were top notch! Our party enjoyed 3 different benedicts - the Tuscan, the Tamale, and the Chicken and Waffle - all 3 were spot on, particularly with the side of crispy hash browns! Honestly pretty impressed. This was our first time at the Briargate location and our server was friendly plus food came out quickly especially considering how busy they were on a Sunday morning. For a veggie option, I definitely recommend the burrito with mushrooms. I liked that the potatoes had seasoning. Latté was tasty and had a proper 2 shots of espresso in it. I got a salad and my boiled egg still had egg shells. When I ordered a to go order the person who took my order said I will get a text once my food is ready. I waited about 30min then went to ask where my order was. Turns out my order was ready long ago. I told the person at the front that I was told I would receive a text when my order was ready. She told me they don't send out text -___- So I waited all that time for nothing. My one complaint was that for the price, I felt the portion size was stingy: almost $18 for what felt more like $13-$15 of food. The other pictured dish is a quinoa bowl my wife ordered that also had a pleasant taste, but was again overpriced for what it was. I believe it was around $14 for basically oatmeal and fruit. She also ordered a side of scrambled eggs that were very bland. Service: Service was good, not great. Our orders were accurate, and drinks came out quickly. However, our table was missing many condiments, and we were seated without silverware. Our server was mildly conversational, but very curt, and seemed irritated; I'll give her a pass since we went at a busy time. Ambiance: There's not much to talk about in this category. It was a very generic casual restaurant interior. The environment was pretty loud, but easy to hear conversation at our table. I will say, the chair was light and wobbly, and was difficult to pull out from the table without making a scraping sound on the floor. But these are nitpicks. Overall, a pretty solid experience. Nothing special. The food is pretty tasty, but is overpriced in my opinion. Also the "healthy food" section is more of a "superfoods" healthy food vibe than a "science based lifting" healthy food vibe, if that makes sense. read more

My mom, wife and I were heading out for a drive and decided to have breakfast before we started our excursion. Urban Egg was my mother's first choice out of the three breakfast restaurants I found through a hasty Yelp! search. (I didn't realize it was a chain until we pulled up to the restaurant and the telltale signs started to illuminate. If I'd known, I wouldn't have made it an option because I prefer to support local restaurants that have their own unique taste and flair.) Urban Egg is a small, growing Colorado breakfast/lunch restaurant chain with decent food. The taste and quality are much better than larger known chains, but the prices reflect the higher caliber. The menu prices are similar to that of a restaurant with better food owned by locals. I would compare it to Panera where the fare exceeds most other chains and it is consistent, but it is still nothing to be excited about. I had the Chicken & Waffle Benedict, which was good but not great. The best compliment I can offer is to call it predictable. However, I was impressed that the eggs were cooked perfectly. My mother ordered the Avocado Chicken Melt and my wife, the Blueberry Streusel. My wife and I thought the melt was okay. I don't have much to add here. The streusel was dense and soggy, though that may have been from the syrup already infused into the food. It was also a little tougher to cut than I expected. It was too sweet for my taste, but less so than a breakfast dessert from other chains. For the price, there are better choices. I won't be going back. read more

AMAZING ! Had a daughter and mom date ... My daughter had the Fred's Hawaiian Pancake w/ over medium eggs. It was such a large portion, 3 BIG pancakes with amazing toppings; she could barely finish one pancake. It was flavorful and just perfect balance. Not too sweet or heavy. I ordered the Club salad with everything on it. The honey mustard is made fresh , daily . The chicken was not battered heavily , and every thing was extremely fresh and crunchy . I was debating between the classic Benedict or the Club Salad , I was told I must come back for the classic Benedict as the hollandaise sauce is also made in house .... All I can say is 10/10!!! I will definitely be coming back. Not to mention the service was fantastic although we arrived an hour before closing. Everyone was so tentative & sweet, especially our waitress. First time visiting Urban Egg. It was a great experience. To start, we had hazelnut cold brews with vanilla cold foam. They were delicious, but kinda pricey for the amount of coffee that's in them. I ordered the three egg breakfast with bacon. I usually prefer sausage links, but they only had patties (pork and chicken). Bacon is great as well so it wasn't a deal breaker. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo, which was good but not amazing. We also got the gourmet pancake sampler for the table since I was craving something sweet. The gourmet pancake sampler was definitely the star of the show. We picked strawberry cheesecake, Fred's Hawaiian, and Dutch apple. Fred's Hawaiian was my favorite with the strawberry cheesecake coming in at a close second. The toppings on each pancake worked well together. Soooo delicious! Our server, Kenny, was friendly and followed up periodically to make sure we were comfortable. I will be back, and next time, I'm going for the gourmet pancakes again! Mmmm mmmm. read more

We were able to get seated quickly on a Wednesday morning but they were pretty busy. Our waitress was super friendly. I ordered a two egg breakfast that comes with hash browns, a choice of toast - I got sour dough, and a protein. I got plant based chorizo. We also ordered a cinnamon swirl pancake to split. It was huge - TASTY!! between two of us - we couldn't finish it. The hash browns were seasoned well and had a good crisp to them. The sourdough toast was SO GOOD!
