First time here last night for Taylor Swift trivia night! Tons of fun. The place is pretty big, clean, very bright with lots of windows. Service was friendly, food came out quickly. Tuesdays are $1.50 chicken tender and happy hour all day. We got buffalo, Thai peanut and spicy bbq sauces on our tenders. Everyone was happy with the flavors. Another 1 star review, and I was so hopeful that I could return after abandoning this restraint after it opened its new location, where they took 40 minutes to serve me a sandwich that was so cold it didn't feel like it had sat on a counter, it felt like they had taken it out of the refrigerator. Today I waited 20 minutes for a chicken sandwich with Buffalo sauce, and some tenders with Ginger garlic sauce. They can out reversed. The kitchen lied to our server and told us we were wrong, but really? I don't know what buffalo sauce tastes like. And the server didn't know the difference, she just brought the same old food back out. We were already on our way out the door. Even if they lied and told us it was US that were wrong, we were not going to be gaslit into eating incorrectly prepared meals. I spoke with the manager. I admit I was obviously upset, but I did not raise my voice or curse, and she seemed to think that because I was upset she could be dismissive and not actually recognize the kitchens mistake, but chose to try and make it about my behavior. Maybe this manager is where the kitchen learned to gaslight people from. Gluten free wings?!? Yes, and they are delicious! We stopped at this little wing and bar restaurant for takeout just off of Rt. 16. We were very impressed with the taste and value. We also got fried pickles-a huge portion. A star was lost for the size of the size of carrot and celery-a single piece of each. It gave us a laugh. In any event, we will return. We're very good at very little in life. But we're amazing at chicken wings. Stopped in with a buddy on a Sunday afternoon to give it a go. Again, chicken wings, we know. The whole experience was OK until each of our five-piece wings arrived. The Wicked & Diablo sauces were absolutely incredible! Most wing places can't get the sauces and the heat right and Wing-Itz did! However, the whole experience was negated by the sloppy-jalopy-wet-moist, slightly undercooked skin. And that after we asked for them "slightly crispy". And that, AFTER we politely differentiated between slightly crispy and extra crispy. Another minute and a half in the fryer would've made all the difference. When this is all that you do, you gotta get it right. Ya gotta. You put too much time, money and effort into your restaurant to have an inattentive fry cook spoil it for you. This is what we do. Wings. I'm beginning to wonder about Lily's gastronomic choices. She really likes this place. I think it's middling. The atmosphere is fun, I think this would be a cool place to see a game, and the service was good. Several good craft beers on tap, plus a full bar. It's the food that's not so great. Mimsy and I got wings with jerk rub and some with mango habanero sauce. Neither tasted like that. The wings were fried enough but the sauce was off by a mile. The blue cheese dressing for dipping didn't taste like blue cheese. Nothing tasted like it should, it was a mystery. We also got the poutine, the gravy was too salty and kind of gelatinous, like it came out of a can, and the curds were sprinkled on top last, not melted at all. So many options for someone who has to eat GLuten free. My best friend was excited to see on their snack menu they had GF fried pickles, was was this so exciting for her you may ask? In the 13 yrs she has had to be GF she has NEVER had a fried pickle!!! This was a first and they were delicious! Their double fried French fries are the perfect outside crunch and fluffy potato inside. Then the wings!! So many sauces to choose from! This place hits it out of the park. Then the drinks. Got a to go order from the one in Dover before my kids baseball game. They gave me the wrong order but we didnt have enough time to go back and fix it so we just ate what we were given. The service was awful. Both server and bartender. We got there for the superbowl and it was basically empty. A few of us ordered drinks and they got brought out. The bartender brought them over and literally slammed them on the table and walked away didn't say anything. We were then told that we had to be paced because somebody last week got drunk and had to get the cops called on them. That had nothing to do with us. We were there for the game. There was a group of eight of us. Somebody in our group ordered another corona it took 20 minutes (we never got it) and she never came back and then we ordered a bucket of beer since we were being low-key cut off so that we could just have a bucket on the table for eight of us and there were six beers in a bucket. She never came back. She never put it in. Meanwhile, you look over to our left and there's a group of three people drinking two buckets of beers we were very confused. We cashed out and left. They charged us the wrong amount for wings. It was advertised at the wings were gonna be $1.25 we ordered 20 wings. They charged us $17 for each 10 wings. It's been 3.5 years since I've lived in the area and this was the first place I came out to eat since moving back. My boyfriend is in town so we met up with his friends here on July 4th. It was a bit busy so the service was slow and we had to wait a while for our food, but the fries that two of our party ordered came quicker which was nice to hold us over. We ordered both boneless and bone-in wings, which were all pretty juicy. The new Wing Its is tremendous!! The new location, just up the street, is at least twice the size of the former location and exponentially better. The front is the restaurant section, which has booths and tables, and the back is all bar. The bar area must fit 40 people with five huge TVs and stadium seating. They even have two Touch-Tune jukeboxes now: one for the restaurant and one for the bar area, and it sounds great. The food has not changed and is always top-notch. We used to love wing-itz. We ordered about $100 worth of wings for the super bowl, and none of them were labeled, which was extremely problematic but we gave it some grace, as we assume they were super busy for the super bowl. This time, they were so skimpy with the flavored sauces on the wings, I was ready to go back and ask them to remake them. Not sure if I'm giving them another chance after this. I am currently sitting in Wing Itz. I am gluten free and some research led me here. For two eaters we ordered 20 wings and a full plate of fries which was PLENTY of food, served crispy hot and delicious. Don't sleep on the garlic parmesan, honey bbq and blueberry chipotle bbq (this one is spicy). All wing platters are made with corn flour (gf) and served with a choice of blue cheese or ranch and celery. Fries are made in a gf dedicated frier. Incredible food and service every time we visit! Our server Maraina was fantastic and John in the kitchen checked on us multiple times to see how everything was. We tried the chicken broccoli alfredo potato bites and the special chutney burger along with some cayenne honey mustard wings. Everything was delicious. This is a great place for wings and a beer. The French fries are the best. I highly recommend getting the French fries. They're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have multiple dipping sauces and seasonings for the French fries. The fried cauliflower bites are a hit and so are the wings. read more

Picked up take out the other day and it was barely edible. The truffle fries were so insanely soggy they had to be put in the oven for a longgg time to have any kind of structure. And then we realized they were SO SALTY we could barely eat them. I love salt, and I could barely eat more than a few of them. It was not even edible. I really hate writing bad reviews but I went there today and ordered 60$ worth of food. 33$ of it was wings & I wanted 10 garlic Parm wings ITV extra sauce & 20 lemon pepper. I got 5 lemon pepper wings & 25 garlic Parm. Right there ruined dinner for us because my boyfriend won't eat the garlic Parm, so he only got 5 wings for dinner. And the garlic Parm wings had barely any sauce on them and I specifically asked for extra. And Of course I didn't open the food until I got home. I also order cauliflower bites with extra garlic Parm sauce, I didn't receive any garlic Parm with it at all. The French fries were good though and the bacon jam sauce was good. The wings were also good!! Just not great service here. I called and told them this & they offered me a 10$ credit for next time.... the 15 wings that they messed up cost 18$ so they should have at least offered that. I felt like I wasted a lot of money tonight here because my boyfriend only got to eat 5 wings so we had to order more food from somewhere else because he was still hungry so we spent a lot of money for dinner tonight! I hate to do it- but a 3/5 is the best I can give this place. We have followed wing-itz from its first restaurant and we're BLOWN AWAY by the quality of their food and service. It seems now, however, that those things aren't to the same level. I'm not sure if it's because there are so many locations now or if I've just hit bad days in terms of who is running the kitchen. With expanded seating and a cool modern decor, Wing Itz Dover is an update to their Portsmouth location, which I have been going to for years! Derek and his staff provide fresh top quality, never frozen wings. The 30 or so homemade sauces are out of this world. My favorites are Sweet Sin and Wicked Hot!
