Healthy options are fresh with quality ingredients. The portions are a little small for the price but overall it's a good option for an area with a lot of fast food. We got takeout twice salads all times. They don't pack napkins or utensils for takeout so when I grabbed the bag I just grabbed what looked like a fork wrapped in a napkin. Turns out it was a spoon. The next time I was there it clearly said spoons but it was the center container and forks were on the far right. We did not eat there so cannot speak to the service or ambiance. I've been feeling a little off so I wanted to get a juice health boost. Earth's Harvest had lots of options to choose from, but the person helping me was friendly and recommended the Ginger Strong. The large was $10 plus tax. It was yummy and the space seems cute to work in, but it felt a bit steep to me. Food smelled delicious and treats looked amazing, but it's a bit expensive for a commoner like me. I've never regretted an order. The curry chicken salad is so so good. The croissants, cheddar chive biscuits.... I am obsessed with the juice that has carrot and ginger and oranges, I die for it, and the Granite Strong smoothie is amazing. I can't say enough great things about this place. They- without a doubt- have the BEST BLT in New Hampshire. I could eat that sandwich every day and not get tired of it. What this area needs! I have been visiting family in Berwick Maine for the past ten years and I consistently feel like this area is a food dessert minus Applebee's & the chains. I always thought you had to go to Portsmouth to get real and or health food so this place has really facilitated my visits here I sat with my whole family and we were all blown away by all of the menu options and overall incredibly satisfied by our meals. We found this restaurant when searching for places that had vegan breakfast. It's not a vegan restaurant as such, but it has quality food and some good vegan options. Service isn't quick, but great food rarely is. The manager was super friendly and didn't make us feel rushed when we asked all sorts of questions. Have been a fan of EHK for years but their quality has fallen badly. I suspect they are focussing their attention on the catering end because the retail side is suffering. First off, their hours are terrible. Closing at 2:30 vacates a whole group of potential customers with lives in the afternoon. Maybe they can't get the help. Then there is the quality. Their products are prepared in-house which has always been great but the last time I ordered a scone, they called me on the phone saying they were out (still showing on the online menu) but when I picked up the order, there was a stale scone with it for which they charged me. Today I ordered a couple of smoothies. The smoothies were fine but the straws they provided were small and split right away making them useless. Really hard to consume a smoothie on the road with no straw. I think I'm going to have to take a break from EHK which is a bummer because I really want them to survive. read more

Love this little gem! I go every time I'm in NH. I usually get the smooth operator smoothie and it's DELISH and consistent every time I've came in. I haven't tried any other smoothies or juices but I'd assume they're just as good. They're breakfast sandwiches are killer as well. They do run out of stuff often on the weekends by mid morning as I've noticed they get really busy. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is the girls at the counter aren't all that friendly, they're a little snippy and not very personable. Lots of table space inside but they're pretty close together and I probably wouldn't sit for too long when it's busy. Other than that food/drink is great! read more

Delightful café! We randomly stopped in a few weeks ago for a juice and quick bite and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food served. We started with the Daybreak juice (Carrot/Beets/Ginger/Apple/Lemon/Orange/Tumeric)- made fresh to order. Sooo good! For lunch we ordered the Quinoa Veggie wrap and the Morning Biscuit sandwich The veggies in the wrap were fresh and crisp and dressed with a savory/spicy sauce that had the perfect kick. The buttered/cheese biscuits used in the sandwich are housemade the morning of and quite possibly the best I've ever had. We finished with a smoothie special.. I believe it was a maple crème brulee. This was the only real disappointment- no discernable flavors indicated in the title.. all I could taste was banana and cardamom (both of which I love, but not at all what I ordered*). Customer service was good but with a few hiccups. Counter staff were super friendly and Jill(?) gave us an introduction to the menu. Food was served promptly. However, the gal responsible for our juice and then later the smoothie forgot about our order each time and we had to request they get made- I think unintentional but a communication breakdown somewhere in their process.
