Hot dogs as a side! You love to see it.
    John C.

Stopped into Wing King Cafe for a late lunch (admittedly after striking out, finding a few other local places closed). I sat for a while before a server came to take my order. Even with the small crowd, she seemed to be the only person taking care of tables inside and outside. As a hot dog lover, I got a big kick out of the fact that you could just get a hot dog as a side item here. Wings and a hot dog side was a tempting order but I stuck with the franks. I ordered the hot dogs with chili, mustard, cole slaw and tater tots. The food came out quickly. The tots were hot and really well seasoned with a seasoned salt. The hot dogs were ok. The buns were untoasted and a touch on the stale side which meant they crumbled faster than a Nature Valley bar. The other odd thing was they were served with mustard packets instead of mustard on the hot dogs. Now, this place has burgers and plenty of other sandwiches on the menu. I'd be really surprised if it there isn't a bottle of mustard in that kitchen. Server was kind but quick to get me out. Overall, I might return to Wing King but I'd get something else next time and maybe just do take-out.

Burger was tasty, if you order the onion rings you won't be disappointed the sauce is awesome. Great atmosphere to sit down and catch a game or two while enjoying good food. Servers were attentive and food came out fast.

Hands down best wings in Fort Mill. We found this place through yelp. Their to go is the a smooth and quick process but getting them in house is the best experience as everything is fresh. We've tried a few places but the wings here taste better!! Friday and Saturday will be brush but the turn around and wait times are fast. They have a full bar and great bear on draft as well. We generally split a wing platter as you get to pick 5 sauces. Don't forget to add a basket of fries or tots as they are quite tasty sides. The cheese curds and mozzarella sticks are also amazing.

    "Non-cash fee of $3.96, huh?

I'd say the 3 stars this place has is justified. Came to this location rather than OG with another family after tubing down the Catawba. Total of 10 of us on 2 separate bills. Ordered drinks and appetizers; fried pickles, fried green beans and pretzel nuts. Green beans and the pickle chips were great. For main course we all got the King Sampler with 5 x 5 flavors: Dark like a Ming, Cowboy Kickers, Ranch, Garlic Parm, Honey Gold; Korean BBQ, Garlic Parm, Mesquite, Honey Siracha, Honey BBQ Teriyaki. When we got the bill I was calculating a 20% tip when I realized it was already included ( your welcome!) and a non-cash fee of $3.96. In the year 2023 for a business to charge this fee knowing most people exclusively use cards is unethical unless they make it clear beforehand about the fee. This fee adds up to additional profit that goes to the business. I am okay with the gratuity added but the non cash fee is ridiculous. This left a bad taste in my mouth that could not be overcome by the delicious wings. 3 stars.

Why haven't I tried this place sooner? One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. We decided to order to go and it was actually ready by the time my husband got there. They even called when it was ready. I got the signature buffalo chicken sandwich tossed in the hot honey sauce with blue cheese dressing and tots as the side. The chicken was perfectly breaded and seasoned and very tender. The hot honey sauce was delicious. I was afraid it would be overwhelmingly sweet, but to my surprise it was more spicy than sweet. I couldn't stop eating it. The blue cheese was on the side and had chunks which is how I like it. The tots were okay, but greasy. I could only eat half of the hefty portion. It was all reasonably priced and the sandwich beats others in the area for sure. I know their wings are popular and we'll be back to try some!

I am not a heavy reviewer of restaurants and did not get asked to write a review, but just had to tonight after another great night at the Fort Mill Wing King. My wife and I have eaten there about a dozen times and ordered take out another dozen more. I have never had a complaint. Food always great - best wings in SC, apps are awesome and the rest of the menu has been really, really good. Service is great and friendly and fun always. I typically take my dinner home to eat after we have some Apps and look at the care they took on my Buffalo Chicken Sandwich!!! Love this place!!!

    King Platter 25 wings - $33

I was disappointed Saturday night. My 1st time at this location. We arrived 3 of us. We all ordered the King Wing platter, 3 beverages & 3 sides. The server was nice enough to let us try samples and samples of sauces too. However, when she brought out the sauces; she didn't specify which was what. My friend had to ask her. After we ordered our beverages; then I noticed we could of ordered a Pitcher since we all had the same glasses of tea. She also never cleared off the table & with three people the table for outside was small & cluttered. I ordered a basket of chips, which was forgotten even though my 2 other friends ordered their salads & got them after the platters were served. I had to ask 2x for the chips (potatoes). Our table was so cluttered that the food server placed the sheet pan of chips on top of the napkin holder. She did say I was given extra because of the wait. I started to place items on the empty chair next to me because of the clutter & yet our server didn't bother to clear the table. Ridiculous!! Later on I asked for a salad instead because the chips were over salted that I could not eat them. They of course were taken off the bill and I couldn't order any salad since the kitchen was already closed. The wings were over cooked even though we asked for crispy. We all ordered 5 flavors of 5 each - the King platter at $33. Disappointed for $99 that the wings ...most of them were dry. They weren't juicy on the inside at all. The salt & vinegar and also garlic parm didn't taste as they were presented of their flavor on the menu. It seems like they fry a bunch of wings and drum sticks then just smother sauce on them or Sprinkle spices on over fried meat. Glad we tried a new location- but will not be returning to this restaurant in Fort Mill. Their other location in Lancaster, SC is far much better than this location!!!! The doors going in from the outside could use a good cleaning. Our server only started to clear off the table after we were ready to leave, when I presented my credit card & her generous cash tip that she didn't deserve. My friend left the tip.

As a lifelong Buffalonian who is happy to have finally escaped NYS with all of its problems (specifically its' libtard politics, outrageous taxes, and anti 2A tyrannical politicians), I still have been missing great wings & things. True, you now get good wings most anywhere, but GREAT ones??? Not so easy to find... But no longer! My girlfriend introduced me to this place,- and finally my cravings for truly great wings has found a home here in Ft Mill, SC! In true wing fashion, the place looks like nothing from the outside. Same on the inside,- bare concrete floor, basic tables and chairs, worn menus, - oh, and a bar too. But Buffalo wing lovers don't look for ambiance. We want GREAT wings! And this place has them! And imagine my surprise when I saw that they advertise a 100 wing platter! Yeah, baby, this place rocks!!! What else can I say? She had the wings, and I had the fingers, and EVERYTHING was GREAT! I am now home. Ahhhhhhhh!

First timer and will certainly come back. Decided to sit outside on the patio since it was a beautiful day. We sat ourselves and waitress came out shortly after with menus. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Food came out quick and piping hot. Everything was delicious and as ordered.

The best chicken sandwich in the area. Great portions for reasonable cost, a rarity these days. Tater tots always cooked to perfection. Food and service is always perfect.

After a hot day of golf with the family, I am happy to say that Wing King Cafe was an excellent place to cool off and continue the fun. Service was fast and the food was hot and quickly delivered. Great lively environment and you can't beat the Old Bay wings as they were 10/10! I will definitely be back!

My family and I have loved coming here since moving to the area five years ago, but the service here has really gone down hill in recent months and this past experience here may end up being my last. We ordered the dipped chicken tenders, which I've ordered many of times, and generally speaking the tenders are large enough, to where 3 or 4 is about all you can handle. My wife and I ordered 10 of them, which were not cheap at $16. She picked up the Togo order and brought it home, and the chicken tenders looked like chicken strips from McDonalds. They were tiny, and when you think about the premium price you pay, it's just completely unacceptable. I tried to call the restaurant to rectify the situation, and they simply answered the phone by just placing the phone on the counter, while I waited for over 5 minutes for someone to pick up the phone. No one ever did. Unreal.

I was a bit early for lunch arriving around 11:30 am. There was only two people in this very cute restaurant. Lots of table and chairs inside and outside for seating. I was a bit overwhelmed trying to take everything in. They have a counter top where you can see them cutting actual chicken and potatoes for the fries and placing them into what appears to be high pressure deep fryers. This place has been set up to make you the best pieces of chicken you can get. I ordered The Beaut (minus the mayo) a large chicken breast covered in a crispy batter and perfectly deep fried! There was a good amount of pickles with the sandwich, like 4 or 5 which really covered the entire sandwich so you always got a bit of them. The bun was not my favorite. I'm not sure how to describe it. A little smushed is the best way I guess. I also ordered a 6 piece bites package. These things were full on huge chunks of chicken they seasoned and deep fried. I don't normally like to take pictures of food partially eaten but I had to show what one of the bites looked like after taking a bite. They were large, hot and cooked to perfection. I did try some of their BBQ sauce. Not a big fan but it wasn't bad. I also got an order of the skin on hand cut fries! OMG they were so good! They gave me a large bag of hot fries that just totally completed this meal! And I'm talking they should have come with a warning they were so hot! Loved it! As I was waiting for my order to be bagged I notice the large cookies and the glazed hand pies they had on the counter. This isn't like other major food chains so the price is a little higher but you are getting quality food. If you are looking for some good fried chicken and hot fries then I highly recommend this place!

Staff was friendly, food was quick I got the cheesy Beaut the sandwich was a good chicken sandwich crisp not greasy. Good flavor for a standard chicken sandwich, a little more mayo than I prefer, but it's dukes which is outstanding. First, Speckled Pear has removed the community seating and the prepared food, bakery and produce counters from my earlier visits and replaced them with true "restaurant" tables. The focus is now squarely on dining, with lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch service. And oh, there's still a wine bar and bottles are still available for purchase. In my humble view a significant positive step. Our servers were excellent, including helpfully explaining some of the wine options (my wife and sister-in-law ordered a flight). Still a fairly casual environment. Great acoustics- I hate echo chambers. We sat close to other guests but were able to easily talk among ourselves without hearing any extraneous neighbor conversations.
