This place is amazing. The food is fresh and very good, the chef has 30 years of cooking and you can taste it in the food. Did I mention that every ingredient is fresh and local.

One of my favorite spots in Fort Mill! They have incredible food whether it's for lunch (pictured here) or for delicious dinners. I've been a number of times and had everything from their steak salad (to die for!), to chilly rainy days perfect for their soups and a sandwich to warm you up. Atmosphere is low key but still provides a more modern and elegant vibe. The staff is so lovely and friendly, with owner and chef often walking around to check in or even refill a water. They're knowledgeable about the wines they sell, and great pairing ideas. They do cool curated dinner and tasting events that I've been looking forward to participating in as well, so will be watching their website to join one of those soon.

2nd visit, great again, service is phenomenal, place is beautiful, tuna tartare was very good, wife's salmon was cooked perfectly, my scallops were amazing. Desserts... awesome!, budino and strawberry festival

We held a surprise birthday party for my husband's 70th birthday . Robyn and the entire staff there could not have been more accommodating. Of course the food was spectacular. We were all made to feel like we were eating dinner at a friend's house . If you get a chance to eat here you will not be disappointed-promise !!!

It's always exciting to welcome a local small business to Fort Mill. I love the eclectic atmosphere and the natural light. The opportunity for small businesses to offer their wares too. The flavors are amazing; however, the price to portion took it down a star. I think for the price of the sandwiches a side should be included. A few of my other favorite locally owned lunch spots nearby do include a good sized main with a side and I'll probably err to visiting those locations for price/portion for lunch. The Ahi Caesar is a tiny portion for $19 without tax- just an FYI don't order if you are hungry ;) Still very fresh and flavorful though. Service is top notch.

Salmon on garden salad so fresh and tasty. Appreciate their selection of ingredients. The cookies looked amazing too.

I went back to Speckled Pear with apprehension due to the lunch being great many times but the dinner lacking. Tonight the dinner was fantastic! I have been converted. This time, the short rib was so tender. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the Mediterranean inspired accompaniments made the dish memorable. I look forward to coming back and trying their next menus.

Chicken Salad Sandwich, "Cup" of Cream of Mushroom soup

There's a lot packed into this small place. Restaurant, wine bar, market - it's all here in this intimate one-stop-shop on the edge of downtown Fort Mill. While recent Yelp reviews have been for dinner and Sunday brunch services I was here during lunch. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and a cup of the daily soup which happened to be Cream of Mushroom. Both were delicious . The portions were very large - just look at that "cup" of soup in my photo. The sandwich was loaded with chunks of chicken - perfect - although I would've preferred a tangier base such as Miracle Whip to the predominant mayonnaise used here. (That "thunk" you just heard were phones being dropped by Carolinians disgusted by my preference of Miracle Whip to mayonnaise. Sorry, I'll just sit here sipping my unsweetened iced tea while I wait for the "Oh No" comments. Hey, at least I no longer call my cola a pop.) I enjoyed my visit to The Speckled Pear very much. I just showed my wife the photos and she tells me we're coming back very soon together.

Welcome to the neighborhood: The Speckled Pear Market I've been watching the social media posts about this new business locating in downtown Fort Mill in the space that was formerly GoodLife Organic Market. Owned and operated by locals, Mike & Robyn Bader, they hosted their soft opening today. I was welcomed and greeted by Robyn and her staff who give me a mini-tour and overview of of all their offerings. This is a Gourmet Food Market, they have prepared foods, wine by the bottle and a very nice selection of cheeses. They have a 'grab and go section' as well as a nice selection of low card, low sugar cold beverages. They have a 'starter' selection of wines as described by their Staff Alejandro. He is learning his market and audience and seems open to a selection of wines that fit a range of budgets. They also have a selection of chilled craft beers. I saw they also have some pasta options for those that are looking to cook. They also do custom charcuterie boards and catering as well. I selected a bottle of Mariella and Grace Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Puglia, Italy. I saw many options that would make great Christmas gifts, tis the season! I'm most excited about their future plans to have tapas and small plates. Robyn said they are about 2 weeks out from beginning that service where they will serve wine by the glass. You can sit at the large live edge wooden community table, at the bar or one of several 2 or 4 top tables. It's really nice to have various food options when you live in a small town like Fort Mill. This will fill a void that has been missing from the current foodscape. Though they are in 'soft opening' mode, I would highly recommend you do your part to stimulate the local economy and support this local owned and operated business. There is limited on site free parking but there is a FREE Municipal lot just two blocks away adjacent to the Bank of America. I was pleased to learn they offer a Vet & First Responder discount.

Sunday brunch bowl, avo toast and praline French toast (they're no longer open on Sundays)

The owners, the servers and the chefs are all amazing people and the food is outrageously good! I love their passion for supporting the local community and bringing quality ingredients to the table. I eat lunch there during workdays and it's peaceful and delish. It's also where we take all our friends for dinner, especially out of town guests. No one in York county knows more about "great not just good" wine. Say hi to Mike and Robyn if you pop in because you'll want to meet them!

Wow! This place was delicious! Small portions so you can get a lot of small plates but make sure you watch how much you're spending. What we had for two people and we split each dish: 2 glasses of wine each, salmon Rillettes, beef carpaccio, wild mushroom gnocchi, sea scallops, creme catalana. Salmon Rillettes: there was toasted sour dough with a jar of salmon mousse with a cream cheese on top with caviar. DELICIOUS Beef carpaccio: this had some shavings of cheese with some garlicky croutons. Everything went perfectly together. YUM Gnocchi: really light! Little cloud puffs. Loved it. Scallops: not worth it. You got three scallops for $30 Creme catalana: this is a creme brûlée. I would have liked this a little thicker for custard. But it was tasty. Overall the servers were very nice but no one introduced themselves by name. I would recommend they start doing that. Keeps it more personal. The place is small and when it's packed, it's loud. We were fortunate enough to have the table in the back, which is private. Overall, our bill was about $170.

I was hoping to see Albert(a) Wine-Stein aka, Amanda and she did not disappoint! So happy to catch up with her after almost 4 years. I know, I should get out more! They have a great opportunity to select from 50% of wine bottles so Michelle and I selected a Franciscan CabSav from San Miguel, Ca just south of Napa near the Paso Robles area. Just an EXCELLENT choice we concluded, you will NOT be disappointed with this selection with hints of black cherry, carmel and coconut. We settled into one of their many rooms and selected a table where we could order from their menu with a nice selection of appetizers, salads, hand helds and small bites. We shared the Crab Rangoon app & each had the Harvest Salad. All together is was an excellent combination. It was a warm pre-spring evening and just a perfect finish for memorable outing. The atmosphere and the view were absolutely beautiful, the food was amazing, and the drinks were fantastic. Our server, Yeti, was outstanding. He was incredibly attentive to detail, explained the menu so well, had so much patience with us, and suggested wonderful dishes for us to try. You can really tell he cares about giving guests a great experience. I was a little worried that because it was Mother's Day we might feel rushed, but not at all. Everything felt relaxed, welcoming, and thoughtfully paced. The manager was also so friendly and kind, which made the experience even more special. We left so impressed and happy. I would recommend this place 100 times over, and I definitely can't wait to come back -- and ask for Yeti again! Wow... just amazing!

Very disappointed in what Napa has become…read more. I am never one to post things like this because I work in the service industry. I know people and places have their off days and am very understanding. With that said, I'm actually appalled with the way my parents were treated at Napa today on their anniversary. Back story- I ate at Napa 6 years ago for my prom dinner in a large group and everything was great, so i recommended they go there. Unfortunately for them, there's been major changes and apparently for the worse. They came in and were offered a toast for their anniversary. They were the only table in there and service already seemed pretty slow. After receiving the complimentary wine and bread, they asked about the mussels. The server came back a while later (again no one else to be served in there) and told them the mussels needed to be shucked and couldn't be served... I feel like I don't even have to explain why that seems like a blatant lie, when specifically Napa's mussels are served in the shell (steamed) and not shucked. I could be wrong about that, I don't work in Napa's kitchen, but the real problem was after that. The server then never came back after 20-30 minutes. My parents sat there debating "should we leave, should we stay?"... Ultimately deciding to leave, they ran into the server on the way out. To keep the peace, they told him that something came up and they had to go. This server, knowing it was their anniversary, and knowing he just blatantly ignored them, responded with "yeah we already heard y'all talking about it" ?????? I'm sorry, what? You knew they were wondering where you were at, overheard them talking about it, and never went back over to do your job? Absolutely unacceptable and I am so truly embarrassed to have recommended Napa to them. This was their 2nd anniversary and they wanted to try something new. They originally had reservations at The Pump House, and those were canceled because of the weather. I told them they could try Napa, it's owned by the same people, and I had a great experience. Like I said, I know people and places have off days, but there is no fixing this experience for them. They never want to go back after being treated like they weren't wanted. Feels like a problem from the top down. I hope no one else's anniversaries are ruined because of managers who aren't paying attention to the floor they're supposed to be running. Edited - They are not still owned by the same people, but that is what I had thought originally when recommending.

But it seems we had three large families walked in shortly before us. So the wait staff was stretched thin but the manager and our waitress both apologized for any delay. Once we got seated and our drink orders taken things moved more swiftly. The restaurant itself was nice. Lots of tables and booths also a big bar you can sit at including a large outdoor area. To start we got a sweet tea and I tried one of their spiked milkshakes! The sweet tea was just right and the milkshake was very good. A nice hit of alcohol in it with real chucks of ice cream! As usual for me, I had to try the Chicken and waffle sandwich! There were pieces of bacon in the batter that made the waffle and a large piece of deep fried chicken. The sandwich ate a bit dry so I asked for some syrup to pour over the waffle. It did come with a maple aioli but I just prefer regular syrup. The hand cut fries were thick but hot and fully cooked. Very good! My mom ordered the build your own burger instead of getting one of their many signature burgers. Her meal came thick and stacked and juicy! An amazing looking burger and she loved the onion strings. Next time I go back I think I wanna try The Wanderer burger because it looks very good! We also ordered a burger to go for my dad and our waitress was so good, she put the order in as our meals came out, so when we finished the togo burger came out and it was super hot! Amazing service! Fun place to eat with lots of options! Check it out!
