This is literally down the road from us, so we go there a lot. The wings are great, and so are the Southwestern Egg Rolls! There are always good beer offers (tap & bottle) and the tables outside are a plus. The staff is nice & friendly, but things don't run smoothly. I hadn't been back to Wing King since moving out of Fort Mill, so, while in the area, we stopped in. The outside eating area is great...until smokers light up, then your air is contaminated with cancer. The fried green beans were amazing, but our fried pickles were lacking. They were soggy and floppy. My friends' boneless wings were good, delicious sauces. My buffalo chicken Philly sandwich was disappointing. The chicken tasted twice-cooked, rubbery and dry. You know......If your Wing King Cafe.......Wings should be the best thing on your menu. That being said.....their wings are always just...OK . Good flavor, usually hot, but even though they rate the wings I got with XXX hot .....they aren't even as hot as the medium wings my wife got. They tend to be a bit overcooked/dry as well. Not juicy as you would expect from a Wing Restaurant. I got the Honey Hot xxx, BBQ Hot xxx, and 24k gold also Hot. Not even close to being Spicy Hot. We also got the Fried pickles & Fried mushrooms even though...time and again, they are always soggy and barely hot. Maybe someone should introduce them to Aluminum Foil and vented carryout containers. The meal always looks great and they give plenty of condiments and accessories.....but the final product leaves a lot to be happy with. Thank goodness for toaster ovens and microwaves and Franks extra Hot sauce. Seems quite a few like their burgers...maybe thats the way to go from now on. Anyone for Burger King Cafe? I have been going to this restaurant for over 7 years since moving to Fort Mill. It quickly became out families "go to" place for great wings and great bar food. I also introduced my 400+ person office it, with all rave reviews. However, after today's lunch experience, I will probably never return!!! I went to lunch with 6 other co-workers, we even got there early to avoid the lunch rush. We all put in our orders with "Helen", however my order never arrived. 20 minutes later, after everyone else was nearly finished with their meals, Helen admitted she forgot to submit my order. I quickly asked for it "to go", as to not intereferre with work schedules at lunch break. I did inquire as to why me meal was late, she admitted she "forgot". Evidently, she also "forgot" to check on my coworkers drink refills during lunch as well. Now, I fully understand that mistakes happen, but in my book, it is how one responds to a mistake that counts. I am not one to expect a comped meal, but offering to knock off a dollar or toss in a free drink or small dessert would of been greatly appreciated to soften the horrible customer service. Either she had a bad day, or management does not push for quality customer service. It is sad, due to my fondness of the food quality vs. price. However, the lack to customer service will force me (and my co-workers) to look at other lunch venues. We ordered 10 boneless wings, fries and an order of fried pickle spears and it cost $20. The portion sizes are minuscule for the amount of money. We got 3 pickle spears, not even a full pickle for $4. The boneless wings are like chicken nuggets. Yes, you may have 1-2 decently sized wings but the other ones are the size of a quarter. Makes no sense to spend a $1.20 per chicken nugget when you could get them cheaper and bigger anywhere else. Then, when we called and talked to management they were rude, inconsiderate, unhelpful, and made zero effort to rectify the situation. They basically told us "too bad, deal with it". The manager showed an attitude when we said we would take our business elsewhere and she seemed completely okay with that. They have poor customer service which is another disappointment. In summary, overpriced, extremely small portion sizes, and management could've cared less. I do not recommend ever going here. Try wing bonz in Rock Hill. They're great! read more

I ordered a basket which is supposed to come with slaw, when I asked where my slaw was, I was told most people don't eat it so they don't give it out anymore. I tried calling to make a take out order and after three attempts because the phone line was busy it finally went through but no one would pick it up! So, I drove over because it was a Saturday and I really was craving wings. I didn't want to drive all the way to Hooters in Rock Hill. When I walked in, the place was at 60% capacity. There's a "pick up" area to the left where a young lady was on the phone and a young guy was bagging up orders. I stood there in front of them for a few minutes and they never acknowledged me. I know they were busy but they could at least had made eye contact with me. Or say "we'll be right with you." Instead I just stood there feeling very uncomfortable. So I just walked out. Managers: You need to teach your staff basic customer service ASAP. Hooters will be getting my wing business from now on. read more

This is our "go-to" place to eat. We end up craving it every week! We usually get take out, so we don't normally eat at the restaurant, but we have never had an issue with our take-out orders. As for this location, the staff is friendly, the prices are good and their wings are decent with a good selection of flavors. Fried pickles were okay but portion was small. Seriously? Pickles cost next to nothing. That didn't bode well for the rest of the meal. Wings came out fast, but most of them were dry and over cooked. one flavor were cold to the touch on the ends which was strange perhaps suggesting they were frozen before being fried. They served only drums which was a positive. The French fries were standard frozen fair. Why not serve fresh cut you could be proud of? The blue cheese dressing was homemade and excellent. On Saturday 08/21/21 I went to the wing king location in Fort Mill at 8:55pm. Their website say it closes at 10pm early for a Saturday night. I tried to place an order and was told that their point of sale system was down and couldn't take my order. I was paying with cash so there's no need for their system to be up and could have just written my order for the kitchen on paper. Staff still refused to take my order and where rude about it. So why they trying to go home early and using down system as a excuse? Or maybe they don't have a person that knows how to write things down and count cash. They still had people at the bar drinking and tables with others dinning. How did their orders go in? How are they paying if it was such a problem. Luckily I drove just up the road and went to Carolina Ale house and had a great dinner and saw they game there. Carolina Ale closes 2am! Like a real sports bar/restaurant should. With that I will never go back to wing king. I rather go to a place where the staff know how use a pen and paper. I really want to put no stars but you can't. read more

Between dine in and take out I've eaten here about a dozen times now since it's near my home. Wings are good. I find it does vary from visit to visit though; sometimes the flavors I always order vary a bit in terms of heat and taste, sometimes wings are good, sometimes dry. I like their raw fries, but they don't have a way to pack them that allows them to be very edible for take-out, so eat them in the restaurant if you want them. The service is hit or miss also; I'd say 75% of the time I dine in it's good. It's a very loud place when it's busy so probably not a great option if you want to sit and chat quietly, but that's to be expected from this type of place. Lots of TVs in and out of the bar. I think they forgot my sauce...at least I hope they did because it was bland as hell and the kaiser roll was cold and stale. Great wings, awesome service, excellent experience overall. I'm originally from the Midwest so I'm an avid Buffalo Wild Wings fan. I promise that the wings here would rival and in my opinion beat BW3's. B-Dubs quality has fallen off over the years as the franchise expanded and Wing King was a refreshing experience that reminded me of how B-Dubs was 20 years ago. The meatiness of the wing, the attention to detail in frying, and the sauces were top notch. If you like wings and live if Fort Mill or the surrounding area, you will not be disappointed. I'm a customer that came in WING KING OF LANCASTER at 5:30 nov.27. I was sitting at bar the bartender Dana that talks entirely too much & gives customers she likes free alcoholic shots esp. to manger Christie b/c I've sat next to her numerous times and Dana tries to make like she's using register but really isn't. . If manager would put cameras by the bathroom he/she will see how many time Dana uses "TheBag..The White Dust". She always comes out of restroom with residue on her face and nose. I overheard Christie manager of Fort Mill's Wing King & Dana telling customers saying she would get a black man's job. Minutes later customers were asking for black man that works in kitchen to prepare their orders because individuals liked the way he cooks. Dana then tells customers He is suspended and can't come on the premises nor have contact with the store. I slept on the situation and today I had to write a comment because the black man was done wrongly. Dana shouldn't have been discussing how in detail she was going to get someone's job. She was bragging saying I walked off the job and still got my job back & I'm not working under no nigger he got to go!. I hope the young man sees my comment because I saw for myself most of the customers say they come to restaurant because of him & his hospitality and his great cooking skills. Many say he helped make the franchise as big as it is today. I feel everybody that knows the young man should BOYCOTT WING KING AND NOT EAT THERE ANYMORE...RACISM IS REAL PPL! If this is what his manager thought of him enough to suspended young man without pay over assumptions/accusations like petty things in order for him to lose his job and give Christie the job as she said she will have his job in due time just wait being sarcastic laughing alongside Dana . My son and I use to eat here every Saturday. My job schedule changed so we stopped going weekly. We went today for lunch and it was disappointing. The food was okay but the service was very sloppy. I wasn't sure who our server was because 2 different people waited on us, but never explained why. Neither told us their name. Neither smiled. No personality at all!!! They all looked to be around 18 with no experience or training at all. Definitely need new servers or at least better training!! read more

I bought wings and nachos for the national championship game. LITERALLY WORST FOOD EVER. I ordered hot and teriyaki wings and i could not tell the difference in flavor. They were bland and burnt. The nachos are beef (unseasoned apparently) cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. No guac , no beans, onions, salsa. How you ruin nachos is beyond me.
