We saw them on instagram and decided to give them a try for their grand opening. Soon as we walked in the door we felt welcomed; the owner even opened the door for us. We were handed a menu and he explained the specials. There are 21 sauce flavors and lots of options from no heat to XX-hot. While we decided an employee has two types of samples of their beers on tap. We also were able to sample the sauces before placing our order. We got a 10pc lemon pepper bone-in, 10pc bone-in golden flame, 5pc boneless garlic Parmesan and 5pc boneless mountain berry. The lemon pepper is a dry rub and garlic Parmesan is saucy; BOTH are done here BETTER than any other place in Charlotte. There are about 9 tables and bar seating. Our food was brought over to our table when it was ready. The wings were great! We accidentally didn't order all flats but I a part of me wanted to see what the split would be without specifying. Okay not gonna lie, if you're craving wings and you aren't into the typical flavors this is where you want to go! We tried to Shanghai sizzle and the mountain berry flavors and honestly-- so glad we did! We ordered fries and had to send them back because they were so salted we couldn't eat them. The customer service was more than happy to replace our order with fresh fries and we seasoned them to our liking. This place deserves recognition among wings. Their parmesan garlic is creamy and deviates from the commercial flavor of Buffalo Wild Wings. This one leans more to homemade taste parmesan garlic. The fries are crispy and feels like I'm eating a real potato, so I respect that. Staff was kind and welcoming, seeing how they behaved themselves with other clients and kids. Chris and Justin I interacted more and they were great at customer service! The sauces come from a master chef in Colorado, per staff, and that's why the flavor is uniquely good. Place was clean and can handle about 55 people, so you could bring in your group of people to watch sports in 8 TVs they got. I heard about this place, but I have never eaten there. Upon walking in, I noticed the restaurant was spotless and neat. It has a very open feel to it. Once I got up to the counter, I was greeted professionally, which is always a plus for me. I asked questions, and the young lady explained how things work, so I placed my order. I ordered a 10-piece combo, which consisted of five teriyaki and five barbecue wings (all bone-in), Beach Fries, and a sweet tea. Though it wasn't nasty, I did not care for their barbecue sauce. While plannin' my final four weekend, figurin' out which sauce I'm gonna try next, I visit the website and noticed the Charlotte location isn't listed. I figured, maybe it was some sort of misprint/typo. I check in here and see the most unfortunate news I could receive as a wing head. Given today's date, I thought it was an April Fool's joke. The fact that the closing was announced here in March, is truly Madness in March. How is Golden Flame no longer in existence when the wings, sides and service were all on point? We had the pleasure of dining in today and overall I would recommend coming here. It's nice to have a go to place in the area, especially when you dont want to cook. Customer service was on point. Portions, meal deals, and prices are good in my opinion. Inside is so cozy and clean. Definitely a good spot to watch sports. The berry flavor wings aren't too sweet as I expected with a bit of heat I liked them. Lemon pepper was a bit overly seasoned took away from the chicken, but I also prefer wet wings . Welp, I found my new wing spot!!! I stumbled upon Golden Flame while stopping to get my bubble tea a few store fronts down. Checked out the menu and oh my the abundance of flavors. The owner was very nice in explaining the flavors and basically the overall menu. I got the 10pc bone in wing platter w/beach fries and drink. I was excited to try their signature flavor, Golden Flame....its literally the way I like my buffalo flavor sauce, slight sweet w/a little heat. I got my wings crispy which they give you levels of crispness to your liking. Now...the food hit so hard, like the sauce, the wings were cooked to perfection, they were saucy how I like them ....I mean sooooo good. The fries - 100/10....if you like boardwalk style fries...fresh cut potatoes...you have found your new home. They were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The service was top tier....the owner was really nice and sweet as I was so undecided....so I appreciate you having patience with me. I visited them yesterday but thinking of going back today bc they were just that delicious and honestly, its been a min since I have had really good wings without driving to my other usual spots. Hubby and I tried Golden Flame for the first time and were very pleased. Service was a little slow but they were busy with both diners and take out orders. Food was excellent, we tried their Golden Flame signature sauce and their dry rub Lemon Pepper sauce. Both were great and the signature sauce had an unexpected hint of smokiness. We also appreciated the blue cheese/ranch dressing was labeled so we didn't have to guess which was which. In addition, we ordered 10 wi gs, 2 sauces. This is a new spot that just opened this week near the outlet mall. We decided to stop in and try it. The wings were really good! They were big wings swimming in lots of sauce. On the recommendation of the owner, we tried the house specialty. It is a medium level heat and very flavorful. The wings come with ranch or blue cheese and celery and carrots. My husband gave the blue cheese a thumbs up. They have different seasoning choices for the fries. We went with beach fries that are seasoned generously with old bay. We also ordered fried okra and that was excellent. They also offer sandwiches, nachos, and wraps along with wings, boneless wings and tenders. I stopped by before I hit the highway to Greensboro. I ordered at 2:37 pm. I waited roughly 13 minutes for the food only to open the bag to fries that had to be two days old!! They were hard as a cardboard!! I asked for flat pieces and got 2 the other 4 were drums that were NOT fresh. This food had to be leftovers!!! There is no way even if it was sitting under a lamp that it would be this stale! I called twice-a guy answered and quickly placed me on hold and never came back. I called again and there was a busy signal. $14 plus dollars wasted!! My first time was the second day after the grand opening in which the food WAS good. Damn they are falling off already!!!
