I have been enjoying this local restaurant for quite some time. Friendly staff and good food at a fair price. The lunch specials are very good too. Mostly, recently, I got a panini with fries and a drink for about $10. It was their regular sized sandwich so no skimping on size. As I've noted in earlier reviews the pizza is very good. We decided to order from this place to give it a shot because, there's really not a lot of options in the area. Honestly, this pizza looks a lot better than it tastes. I ordered the Meatlover's Calzone and I was disappointed when I began to eat it and saw "Hillshire Farm" sliced ham in the Calzone! That's unacceptable! I probably should've had the veggie calzone. All of the other ingredients in the Calzone was decent, but the ham was a turn off. The pizza sauce wasn't a thick sauce, like Cento or a homemade sauce. It was too thin. Been here a few times now, and its a great little find in Lovettsville. Its like a classic old fashioned pizza joint inside, with a small counter to order from. The service is always friendly and fast. The pizza feels like classic NY style- not quite as good as NYC, but for Virginia its quite good. The stromboli was excellent as well, with a ton of cheese and meat filling. For a fast, easy meal in town, its a great option and we will keep going back. read more

The kids are big fans of the wings & chicken tenders too but to me the pizza is the star of the show. Crispy flavorful crust reminds me of a great pie you'd find in Brooklyn. I have a very firm rule about ordering food to go. If I'm not going to cook at home I sure as heck don't want to eat at home, so we eat out - a lot! I honestly don't get the takeout trend at all. Rasco's is not the place to hang out in for a meal so we never really gave it a chance. Over this past year we ended up with a few time crunches where we just needed something quick where everyone in the family could be satisfied. Rasco's online ordering is amazing. Easy, detailed and very quick. We all have sandwiches as a go to and have never been let down. Great place to eat! I ordered the small bacon steak and cheese sub, when it came out I had to ask the cashier/waiter if he made a mistake because I thought it was a large. My colleague ordered the chicken Caesar salad, it was big plate and stacked high. We went during lunch, great food and remote location away from everything. On the other hand, kind of going along with what some other people say I ordered online a full 40 min before the supposed closing time and while the crew wasn't rude to me when I picked up I got the vibe they were pissed I ordered something, they didn't actually say any words they just handed me my sub, which admittedly was delicious. If I get a call at work 40 min before I get off I handle it, don't see what the problem is with that. read more

I'm from the Metro Detroit area where Gyros are more common than burgers and pizza. I can definitely day this was the best Gyro I've had outside of Michigan. The pita was out of this world, grilled to perfection and held together for the whole duration of me eating the massive sandwich. And, perhaps more importantly, the meat and tzatziki were stellar. Three of them are pizza places. Roscos in the newest, but not the best. The Pizza is pretty good, I've tried some other things on the menu so, let's stick to the Pizza. There's no shortage of pizza places in this area, but as my husband is from NY, he's picky about his pies. We've tried every pizza place in the area, so when we got the menu for Rasco's we naturally had to try it. The menu isn't unique--in fact, it's strikingly similar to a competing Italian place across the squircle (square circle, see) from it, and shares many similarities to a couple other local places. But at least the offerings are attractive. Hot and cold subs, salads, appetizers and pizzas. We ordered for delivery. Our house is easy to find, but difficult to actually get to. The delivery guy called us to confirm the directions and was very prompt and polite. It took less than 45 minutes. We ordered a large pepperoni and meatball pizza and an order of 10 mild wings with ranch. The pizza was fantastic. Chewy, NY style crust, plenty of cheese, great toppings. It competed with our other favorite pizza place in the area for best around, and that one is run by actual New Yorkers. The wings were slightly disappointing as they are breaded--when I order wings I don't want breading. As that style of wings go, though, they were quite good. Price point is quite average for the area. It was about $30 plus tip for our order. Phone service was friendly and they take credit cards over the phone for delivery (our other favorite in the area does not and only accepts cash or check for delivery). I typically splurge and have pizza/calzone every other week or so. I received a flyer in the mailbox and thought I would give the new place a shot. OMG I am so glad I did!!! The garlic bows were so soft, light & fluffy and I ordered a small calzone and when I got home and opened the box it was as big as a large anywhere else.
