was very disappointed tonight. when I called to place an order the person who picked up my call said "mushroom allergy, right?". I asked "how did you know?". I was told that it was in the system. placed my order for sesame chicken with veg fr rice and said again -NO MUSHROOMS. paid. picked up my order. looking forward to my once a month treat of Chinese food. get home and what's all through my dinner?? MUSHROOMS. glad I saw them BEFORE I ate the food. manager said that they'd deliver a replacement. it's been over 30 minutes. nothing yet. very disappointed today. very sad. Wing Yum is my favorite Chinese food restaurant. I have a business in Nyack so I go there several times a week but I also drive out of my way to get their food even when I have more local options when not at my business. Everything they make, from traditional dishes to the many unique items on their menu, are simply the most well crafted chef prepared dishes I have ever had. The home made broth they create for their soups is out of this world. Their shrimp wonton soup is superb. The owners and all staff are very friendly, efficient, and accommodating. They also do catering sized portions that are excellent for when we throw staff parties at our business. Wing Yum is family owned and it shows in the way they care about their customers. They are a valuable part of the Nyack community. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WING YUM CHINESE !!! In fact, I am going to place an order now because talking about them made me crave their intoxicatingly delicious food!!! read more

So hard to find good Chinese food in this area. First and last time ordering here. They fill the containers to the top with poor quality and poorly made food. If you live in the Nyack area, and want some chinese food, this place has good chinese food with good prices. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Nyack. Don't be fooled by it location and it's appearance: they do a lot of business. Yes the owners are rude and they employ workers direct from Beijing, but they know they have a good thing and after a while they will warm up to you. If you don't live in Nyack, you probably have a place very similar to this one wherever you live - I've lived in four places including Hoboken, NJ and Stellenbosch, South Africa and all of them had a place like this one - decent, cheap food, great for a night when you're too tired to cook and too broke to get sushi takeout. Garbage. They get orders wrong, the delivery men take their own tip out of your change (you have to literally stop and remind them) after delivering your food 30 minutes late and are extremely rude when you tell them about their mistakes. All of the above happen constantly on a daily basis. They are extremely ungrateful for your business and the quality is terrible. Even by American- Chinese take out standards. That's saying a lot. There are 4 chinese takeout places in the Nyack area. I have been living here over 20 years and patronize them all. This is necessary because the constant turnover in ownership/management at every business causes the quality of their food to fluctuate wildly... @ Wing Yum, your best bet is to play it safe and order the basics - eggrolls, beef and broccoli, Gen. Tso's Chicken, spare ribs, etc. If you go off into the "Chef Specialties" part of the menu, you're gonna get disappointed. read more

I mean it's okay and all, but they seriously need to work on the catering portion of their restaurant. I mean I had to wait at least an hour for my rice and shrimp. I was disappointed, but happy with the food. The restaurant is kinda eerie. I mean it seems spooky. It's located in a part of town that's unsafe during the late hours. I was one time robbed by a gang when I left like a 5 dollar bill on my car. Tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. I placed an online order and after waiting 30 mins for my food I decided to check out the reviews. To my surprise I saw one stating that their printer was down and they weren't receiving ordered. I decided to call and confirm my order was received. The woman who answered the phone stated what the review had! She went on to say that she could still deliver my order if I wanted and offered me a free drink. My boyfriend and I order general tso chicken wings with chicken fried rice, fried plantains, a cheese steak egg roll and a pizza egg roll. The wings were amazing and so was the rice. I didn't try the cheese steak egg roll but my boyfriend said it was good, very interesting concept. The pizza egg roll could have used more cheese, seemed like it was just pizza sauce . The plantains went well with the chicken and rice. They're not sweet so if that's what you're seeking you won't find that here ! Over all I am pleased! The delivery driver was nice and apologized for the inconvenience. The woman who answers the phone was professional and this has nothing to do with anything, but the menu is gorgeous !
