We had the volcano hot which was enough to cause a little sweat but had great flavor as well as the mango sauce. Also, tried the garlic dry rub. Next time, I'd opt for all dry rubs and get the sauces on the side for dipping. Ranch was wonderful and the fries were crispy. Only downside was that it was freezing outside and also felt freezing inside. Wings are HUGE. I normally eat ~10 wings of regular size. 4-5 are sufficient here. I was totally impressed with this place. We were across the street at the Westin and tried this place. The counter girl was so cool! She said the wings are big! She wasnt kidding. Usually a wing place will give you a drumstick or flat and call it a wing. But here they give you the whole wing...drumstick, flat, and tip! So a 5 piece here is like 10 at any other wing place. This chicken shop is decent enough for a downtown meal during work. The chicken is a bit pricey and the flavors are fairly diverse. These two facets of your meal will probably the most memorable. I have ordered the tenders on both occasions that I have been here but my friends have commented on the quality of the bone in wings. The flavors range from Asian to Jamaican Jerk to Ghost Pepper Habanero. I have had both the buffalo and the Mango Tango (second most spicy) and the heat is honestly not that intense. I imagine that if you love the fire, the hottest one will not be a problem. The fries are nicely cooked and you can get them with some of the traditional seasonings you get on wings. Such as lemon pepper, garlic parm, and buffalo. I think the fries are probably my favorite food aspect of the Wing Bucket because they are not too crispy and not too soggy. 3 tenders/wings will typically cost you about $6 and then if you get a combo it will cost about $3 extra. The fries are good but they have an almost sweetness to them, not sure what the seasoning is. Right now they are BYOB...looks like they have plans for alcohol service. It's a fast casual place...order at counter and they bring food to ya. Outside dining area looks cool and spacious . The late night weekend hours are great and they even deliver. Location is excellent...at the base of Metropolitan and right next to Bello Gardens. Counter servers lacked any personality, but they did the job. We ordered a side of collard greens, a side of fries and a daiquiri. I wasn't thrilled with the daiquiri (it wasn't very tasty to me - too sugary), so I had to bring it back to the counter and instead ordered several chicken fingers to make up for the difference. They were very kind in giving me the curtesy to make the change. The collard greens were a bit hot in temperature and oily, but tasty. Sour cream and onion was the pick for our fries - with a ranch dip on the side. Insanity The sour cream and onion wings were delicious - especially because you get the drum with the wing. Mmmm!! The chicken tenders were the MVPs of the meal - garlic parmesan and lemon pepper with bleu cheese/ranch dressing to dip - heaven! I'm satisfied! I was aimlessly walking around downtown and craved some wings. I used to frequent Union Park for their large wings and dry rub that I loved, but they closed. After reading other reviews, I decided to give this place a shot during happy hour hours today. While I would have loved to have happy hour prices for the wings, the fact that I got a large daiquiri for $5 made up for everything! I had the hurricane / pina colada mix, and enjoyed it. Loved the touch of it being in a glass since I chose to dine in. For wings I selected lemon pepper and the dry rub. Both flavors were great. I didn't need the ranch but it was a great extra touch. The service was pleasant enough and because they weren't that busy, I got my meals pretty quickly. Considering I start working in downtown Dallas in two weeks, I definitely think I'll be visiting here more. Even if it's just to get a daiquiri to go! read more

Looked like a relatively calm and family environment suitable for kids. We ordered the 20 piece wings and split it half with strips. After receiving food we didn't realize how big wings were or how they were counted as we only got 9 strips and 5 wings each of each flavor. Did the drums sticks and wings count as two pieces even though it was one? Mango tango was not as spicy but was good. The chipotle honey I liked and the kids liked the Memphis BBQ and plain strips for the kids. We ordered fried pickles as well and felt it was a little over cooked. A nice wing place that serves up very large style wings. The wings served aren't separated, they are still connected and are really 2 in 1. Keep that in mind when ordering, you'll be surprised how filling they can be. I had the basic hot buffalo style, nice sauce overall and I could taste a hint of butter that gave the sauce decent thickness vs more of a vinegar based sauce. Got Mac & Cheese for my side, which was very creamy and good. I love bacon but the bits in the mac were inedible and fat mostly. The lemon pepper dry rub was okay, not enough of a pepper kick, the original buffalo was good, easy heat and tasty. They give you the whole wing so essentially I got 8 wings. I come here pretty much once every month when I'm in Dallas on business. It's a quick walk to many of the hotels, and if your friends or family don't want wings, there are some good grab and go places right on the same street (I hear Bread Zeppelin is good). As of this posting Wing Bucket has always had a great Yelp checkin coupon, though recently the register folks have been giving me a hard time about it for some reason. Might not be worth it if they get rid of the coupon, since their prices aren't really cheap. The wings here are HUGE, and I always get the tangy lemon pepper dry rub! My routine is to grab my wings and cream corn, mix up my fancy sugar water drink of choice (peach vanilla fanta), and run back to my hotel to eat in sloppy peace. There's indoor and outdoor seating for the more social folks, and a little park nearby where you can walk around to burn off some of those calories. People tell me "there are better wing places in Dallas," but I like Wing Bucket just fine! read more

I went with standard Buffalo wings, nothing fancy....might as well see if they can get the basics right. They did well. Wingbucket cooks the whole wing, all connected, not just flats and drums. I prefer flats and drums because it helps get the wing cooked more thoroughly (I like them really crispy). Here, they got it good and done. The sauce has good pep to it without being overpowering...not quite as much butter as I like, but still good. Overall, a good quality wing. Fries were decent....pretty standard.
