The food was so good. It has been several years since we had eaten at a wings and rings- the one closest to us had closed- so we were so excited when we passed one on our way home from a trip. We had both bone in and boneless chicken with a flight of sauces (Korean, sweet Thai chili and habanero) we also ordered the appetizer combo with the garlic parm fries, onion rings and pretzel bites with queso. So good. Also- our server was AMAZING and super helpful and friendly. She was the highlight of the afternoon (and with the food being so good.. that is saying something!) We were traveling through the area a few weeks ago and were looking for a restaurant near our hotel. Because of the bad reviews of the service here we almost skipped. However we decided to try it anyway. We were glad we did. The place was busy yet we had speedy, great service. Riley was our server and she was fantastic, from giving us great suggestions to quick service, she was attentive but not intrusive. The food was very good. We ordered the wings, hubby with sauce, me with the rub. I found it odd that the rub was not actually on the chicken but came in a small bowl on the side. I've never had rubbed wings served with the rub being "self serve" and not actually on the chicken. I guess that's just how they do it here. The wings were delicious. I came to town for business and this restaurant was the first place I tried. I only got a side item (chili lime corn elote) my first night and got my daughter a full meal. The side item was good and my daughter never made any complaints. So the next night, we decided to eat here again. Again, my daughter had no complaints but this time I did. I order the grilled boneless wings smothered in the blueberry chipotle BBQ sauce. I also got the chips and queso. The first thing I noticed was that I didn't get my appetizer. So I called back, reported it and was put on a list to come back and get my appetizer which is super annoying considering I wanted it when I wanted it as well as the fact that I have to go back to the restaurant just to get it. So I started to eat my chicken. GROSS! It looked like chicken that was just chopped up first off. Second off, it tasted so fake. It was gritty, undercooked and had no flavor in the actual chicken. I selected sweet bbq wings, I chose traditional...the Waitress said that traditional is fried and then tossed in sauce. I also had spicy, sweet onion rings. In my opinion, the wings were cooked too hard for me, however the bbq sauce was delicious. I didn't care for the onion rings at all. The service was excellent, the waitress attends the university in this town on a WRESTLING scholarship (I thought that was pretty cool to hear). This establishment is in my husband's hometown, so we were with local friends who knew the waitress, which made the experience more enjoyable. The ambiance...very nice, a down home kind of feeling because the town is very small. I gave 3 stars because I didn't care for the menu options "I" selected. I'm sure there are other items that are probably very good. My husband had a chicken sandwich, he said he enjoyed it. Someone else had dirty cauliflower which looked very good. I will actually try this place again, that way I can try something different...like the dirty cauliflower. I also noted that I would recommend this place. Was in town for work, ended up eating here a few nights in a row. Food was damn good, can vouch for the wings and the burgers. Wings were big, not the scrawny things you get at some places. Service was also really good, sat at the bar each night and Mia was bartending. Friendly and prompt service, had some good menu recommendations, and when things were slow she would shoot the shit with me n my coworker. The side salad was good with plenty of dressing (ordered on the side.) For entree I had Sante Fe sandwich, which was too greasy for my taste. The onion rings were adequate, I expected better considering the eponymic name. The bar patrons were friendly, in fact the best part of the experience. Service was friendly, food was very good. Until it got busy. They should have hand towelettes at the tables for the wings, that's a given. I don't know how many cooks they have but it's not enough. Where to start, we arrived at 7:40 PM was seated pretty quickly, which was the only fast thing about this establishment. At 8:05 PM a waitress came over and got our drink order and at this time we ordered an appetizer (Cauliflower wings). The waitress came over three times during our 51 minute wait for our appetizer. During this time I ordered a Blue Moon that sat at the bar for 7 minutes and my husband had to remind her of this order before she got it and brought it to the table. The appetizer arrived at our table at 8:56 PM. We finally received our food at 9:20 PM, my order (Garlic Q boneless wings and onion rings) was cold to start with and I am talking took it out of the freezer and dumped in the deep fryer to get the color cold. We won't even get into the fact that what arrive in front of me looked nothing like the picture that was in the menu. If I wanted chicken dumped in a bottle of Kraft BBQ sauce I would have made that at home. It was the most unappetizing looking item I have ever received and I have eaten at some pretty questionable places in my time. My nephew ordered a Black and Blue Burger that came out cold as well, no lettuce, a sprinkle if that is what you want to call it of Blue Cheese and I honestly can say they used the crumbs from the bottom of the bacon barrel to put on his burger. It was like something you would put on "What not to serve a costumer". Our fried ordered the same thing and his burger had all the right toppings but was served on something other than a brioche bun (the manager must have gotten that on her Walmart run). My husband ordered wings (Sweet Thai and the Anoli Parm fries) he said the wings were good but the fries were cold. Now lets get into the service. Like I stated before, I have been to some pretty questionable places, but I have been to the likes of Hell's Kitchen and such as well. This place by far had the worst service from a professional stand point (being that I used to own sports bar at one point and my son is a classically trained chef). The server did nothing but make excuses and complain, we heard how she had been there since 10:30 AM and how she moved from nights to days because the night shift does not have their stuff together. We over heard a blonde server talk about how crowded it was and it was crazy how they expected them "to work like this". I asked to speak with the manager and when she came over to the table she seemed like it was a bother for her. Excuse me that is your job to take care of the customer. I started to tell her what was wrong with the order and she snapped that she would comp the bill, they were short staffed, they were running out of product, and she had to make several runs to Walmart. OKAY, none of this is my concern to be honest, order correctly and you don't run out of supplies, hire and schedule staff and if they don't show up get your butt on the floor and work (not like I haven't done it in the past when I would have staff not show up for work or it got busier than we expected on a certain day). If you are running out of product then don't just make it up by adding something else or omitting the ingredient hoping the the customer won't notice, simply explain that you are out of something and let the customer chose something else. Lastly, I understand that given the time your kitchen was closing down but at no time did they offer to fix my meal!! They think by not charging me it is okay, nevermind the fact that I might be there for dinner and maybe just maybe I may have been hungry. Hopefully the owner will take these reviews into consideration when dealing with the public because it is not just their friends and family that will keep this business afloat. This is a college town and parents come to visit. Quality is key and good customer service is most important. We heard nothing but complaints and excuses from staff, I would expect better from a new establishment. If your staff is complaining after 15 days, I cannot image what it will be like in 15 months. read more

I wish I could rate this a zero. I get it, the workers are new and they opened up way too early to be prepared. But when I say I came there and had the absolute worst experience, I mean it. I wanted fries, out. I wanted broccoli, out. Coleslaw, out. Mac n cheese, OUT. So I had to get onion rings, which are not my fav. Then we waited a total of two hours off our food to come and not only be the wrong order and in to go boxes half empty, the waitress got pissed at us bc we had to break the news to her that it was wrong order. I even apologized to her and said I once was a waitress I know how it is and it's not your fault about the food, you aren't the cook. And she looked at me with a blank face and said, "Ok?"
