Not bad at all. I had the smoked wings with the smokehouse bbq sauce (on the side). We ordered in restaurant but for takeout. It took less than 20 minutes. The lady that took my order seemed to be a new hire. But she was helpful and was able to get my questions answered even if she was originally unable to answer herself. The fries were very good. Don't know why there are a lot of negative reviews on this place. To begin with the customer service is great got greeted and attended very will. Our waitress was very attentive as will. Came here with a couple of best friends to have drinks and to get something small to eat. To anyone that likes sports I suggest coming to this place it has TVs all around the place even in the patio outside. Moreover I ordered the traditional wings all flats since I don't like drums. With the sauce buffalo hot flavor you can also order them extra wet which is how I like them too. They were actually very tasty and delicious and also they were big wings which is a pretty big deal to me. They also give you a side which can be celery stick, ranch, or blue cheese. which I got the celery sticks since I dislike ranch and blue cheese. I'm not normally a Bud Select fan but I'll drink pretty much any 22oz beer for $4. Bartenders are great. I love watching little boys play baseball and Mayra and Jesselle put on the Little League World Series game immediately on my request. Their smoked wings are fantastic. I can tell they came straight off of their smokeless bbq pit they have running 24/7 in the kitchen. You can really taste the fresh mesquite wood flavor. Honestly, my last visit wasn't the best. The food, for what it was, is really pricey when local restaurants are able to get a much cheaper price. It seems like there's hundreds of excuses to spend more on a meal and there's no actual incentive to buy their wings. If you are buying Sauceda wings, feel free to choose any one of their options. They do a fantastic job at giving fantastic wings - if they are sauced. The "dry rub" is no more than your waiter/waitress adding whatever flavor you ordered right before you receive your plate. It's half-ass and frankly explains why there was such a bad turnout on a weekend. Who would want to overpay for wings and get horrible food in return? The only saving grace for this restaurant is the fact that their customer service is fantastic. Otherwise, this place should not be visited. Service was a bit slow, but at the time it was Valentine's day and they were short staffed. Went to try their lunch menu and I had the buffalo chicken nachos off the lunch menu. She then grabbed the menu and sat me down not saying a word or who my server was going to be. 20 min later and no one had come up to me to greet me or take my order. This place is in serious need of a makeover. From management to wait staff. My wife and I and some friends went there last Friday evening. I had my doubts but wanted to give it one last try. I shouldn't have wasted my time and money. Our server was fairly friendly but not efficient. The first draft beer (Zeigenbock) we tried was flat and tasted as if the tap hadn't bee cleaned in a while. The second beer was OK. The food tasted good but wasn't delivered in a timely manner. Finally, turn down the damn music. It's supposed to be a sports bar / wing place, not a dance club. I'm not old, but I would like to be able to carry on a conversation. Horrible experience, I'm not one to write reviews but I feel the need to. My friends and I waited 20 minutes to even get our drink orders the waiter then came and took our order. We waited another 30 minutes for her to come and say "I totally forgot y'all existed. Did I take your order?" We said we had a while back and she said she was going to check on it. She came back saying she didn't put it in and she wanted us to tell her what we wanted again. I'm not a fan, but there are choices I can have here like, the veggies burger which is alright its not anything special. Tuna Sandwich, I like these from here. Quesadillas, Overprices at $8.95 just a tortilla with chesse and nothing else, for that much money they should hook you up with toppings. Dinner Shrimp Basket: My shrimp burnt, you get two sides, and the choices are like fries, wedges, onion rings, or coleslaw... not exciting. Thier Onions rings are good. The batter is really light, and if you want some of these bad boys it like $4.99 for an order. Greek veggie Pita: not a fan, iceburg lettuce, onions and tomato, & cheese. W&R is exactly what you'd expect - LOTS of TVs, decent though limited beer selection, great margaritas, and a solid selection of sports bar food. The servers are usually very friendly and competent, and the atmosphere is causal and boisterous. The menu here has recently changed, and I have to say it has DEFINITELY been for the better (especially for vegetarians)! There are new selections like a hummus appetizer, chipotle black bean burger, and a decent greek salad. I've had the CHIPOTLE BLACK BEAN BURGER a couple of times, and I love it. The "saratoga chips" - trying to be kettle chips and not succeeding - are a usually a little stale and kind of gross. But overall, the food is decent and its a great place to watch a game or a fight. If you go with a group, the BEER TUBE is a great option and will save the table a little money if you're all willing to drink the same type of beer. Another plus - there's an outdoor dining patio, which is rare in the Valley. Depending on the W&R location, there may also be TV's on the patio (I think 10th & Violet has a TV, while Trenton & Jackson does not). DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME HERE I've gone to other locations, including ones in Chicago and Austin, and have been satisfied with my food and service. This place did not measure up in the slightest. First off, my wings were lacking in flavor. Second, when I regarded our waitress on how little amount of sauce my wings had, and that I didn't see it fair to charge me for the extra side of sauce that I asked for, she quickly got defensive. She was quick to ask for a manager to speak to us (never did I ask to speak to one) and became cold and curt to us after we spoke to him. I never gave attitude to her or the manager, in fact I was very understanding and civil when he explained to us why they HAD to charge me for the tiny container of sauce after I explicitly explained to him that my wings were dry to begin with. It was clear to see that our waitress was annoyed with us afterwards, with the way she acted when offering and handing us our check. Unbelievable!!! We tipped her anyway, but I regret doing so. I normally do take out at least one night a week and maybe lunch if I call it in. 2 for 1 wings on Tuesday, 2 for 1 boneless on Wednesday. TV's are ok but music is often too loud. The bad: Dine in service is not the best. The waitress's seem in a hurry and it can be difficult to get a complete sentance out before the dash off. Also their food is not exactly fast. This restaurant is very close to me and that is one of the reasons I desperately wish it was better. I only go for the Gyro sandwich my wife the buffalo wings. Each order comes with greasy chips that are terrible (order fries instead). The Gyro is excellent! I love the pita bread and meat but am less thrilled about the sour cream sauce. My wife says the buffalo wings are floating in sauce and she says that isn't very appealing or tasty. Bottom line: The food is OK, but the staff really needs to go. NOT ONCE has our order or service been up to standards in our 10 visits. Each and every time we are frustrated. It's like they just don't care. I understand that good help is hard to find, but at least try to find some. The parking stinks because there isn't enough parking (you may end up parking in a muddy field next lot over). I wish I could give this place a negative star rating. Go to any other location than this one--the serving staff often will make mistakes the tab and will do nothing to correct them. Last time I was here, the server made an error on our tab charging up for a drink we did not order. When we politely pointed out this error, she snapped back "Yes, you did order that. I have it on camera!" "Fine then, show us the camera footage." She took our card, swiped it, and then didn't even drop it off..she had someone else drop it off while she hid so we couldn't bother her. There was no manager around either to help us, although I seriously doubt any management here would've listened to us. Servers make mistakes--it's not a big deal. But is a huge deal if they refuse to even bother to listen to the customer. It was only a 3.50 beer, but why give your money to such rude and inconsiderate people? We couldn't even show our anger by not tipping because the gratuity was included. Lucky her I guess. Enjoy that 3.48!! This is not an isolated case--the servers here repeatedly have an extremely difficult time getting the tab right, and then if you question it, it is never their fault.
