I want to recognize Ruth at the Eagan, MN location for her truly exceptional customer service. She recently helped me replace a bank card for my son while he was away at college, and she made the entire process seamless. On top of that, she took the initiative to make sure he got the Wings app set up on his phone so he could access his account remotely--before I even asked. While other employees at the branch are friendly and welcoming with a wave or a smile, Ruth consistently goes a step beyond. She actively looks for ways to make my life easier and takes action without being asked. I had the pleasure of meeting Ruth at the Eagan Wings Location. I needed to get specific bills for a trip to Africa, and she was more than accommodating. With my trip to Africa, I needed to find bills that were no older than 10 years old with no rips/tears/marks on them which is a tedious task. After helping me withdraw specific denominations of bills, she offered to help me sort through them and I was on a time crunch. While we were sorting through the bills, Ken - the branch manager gave some valuable insight regarding the state of the bills and also helped me resolve my problems. I am extremely satisfied with the experience I had going into the Eagan Wings location and am thankful for Ruth / Ken's exceptional customer service - They went the extra mile when they did not need to, extremely thoughtful and genuine. read more

ok for what it is....not so much of a credit union but an atm convergence area. I did like the aviation theme of the building, but then I walked into the "credit union". A line of "Personal Tellers" that consist of number computer kiosks and an atm...and not a real life bank teller in sight. Is this is future? No staff but a lot of "interactive" computer terminals? I was recently in my neighborhood Wells Fargo bank...and THEY had real LIVE tellers (4 of them!). I guess "service" nowadays is a liquid term and not what I envision my credit union to look like. Next time you have an important banking procedure, be sure to go somewhere where you do not have to yell into a video teller machine. Go somewhere where you can talk in a normal voice to a real live staff.... read more

Terrible customer service at Wings Financial! I was on-hold for over 30 minutes with a question that could not be answered by "Sky" and I finally hung up. A good credit union should provide excellent personalized service. I've been a member at Wings for years. Quality of service used to be better. It has really degraded and I will be closing my account and going elsewhere. Read these negative reviews and make some positive changes or customers will continue to take their loan and banking business elsewhere! read more

This is an average bank with average people and average rates. I don't know why people say credit unions are better than banks. This place charges overdraft and insufficient funds fees just as much as other places. My mom started this account for me when I was a kid and it's just been easier to keep my money here than to put it somewhere else. thats the only reason I still bank here. I've been a member of this bank for more than 10 years and have had my check direct deposited for that amount of time and it's actually more difficult for me to get a loan from them than it is anywhere else. I actually have my home, auto and credit cards with other banks cuz wings clearly doesn't like me. They say we're the VIP's but they don't treat me like one. I recently needed to visit the branch to deposit things and get cashiers checks. They've done away with personal help and moved to personal tellers aka ATM's with people on a screen to talk to you if you want. These screen offer little privacy because they're big and display your information just as big. I am happy though that I get a small bottle of water each time I go in. I guess that's sort of VIP right? They need to get more ATM's cuz these fees... read more

I'm not sure of their other locations, but the new service model at WF Eagan is AWFUL! Let's be clear, if I actually get out if my car and go into the bank, IT'S BECAUSE I NEED A HUMAN TELLER! I don't want to "check in" and be seated for 15-20 minutes until someone can help me get a cashier's check. I also don't want to stand at an ATM and speak loudly to a "virtual remote teller" while listening to people next to doing the same. Talk about a lack of financial privacy. Nothing says "relationship banking" like taking away all the human tellers and replacing them with machines. I guess I need to find a new bank in Eagan now after over 10 years with Wings. I have never dealt with a more dishonest and fraudulent company than Wings Financial! I have an auto loan with Wings Financial but in December of 2019 my vehicle was totaled. All insurance was paid and there was a remaining balance for insurance coverage that wasn't on the car. I physically went into the branch and provided the insurance to them 4 times to no avail. They charged me over $635 for 2 months of insurance.... that just conveniently is offered by a company that is also owned by Wings Financial. Sketchy.... my personally auto insurance on this vehicle didn't exceed $130/ month. Since December wings financial has continued to claim that they would negotiate an offer to close out this account. As of Sept 17, 2020 wings claimed I owed them $890.12. Today sept 26, 2020 wings has tacked on an additional $110 for fees that they won't disclose and claim "it's in our terms and conditions". I carried out my terms and conditions based on an AUTO LOAN not on accusatory charges by paying the vehicle off. Wings continues to add fees and late fees on an account that only outlines some overpriced insurance. I pray that thousands of Minnesotans see this as a warning to never do business with Wings Financial. Their customer service is rude and down right disrespectful to their customers and they company wants nothing but to steal money from their customers any way they can! Wings Financial should be ashamed at their behavior and I hope that they finally get the repercussions for their schisty actions! read more

This Wing's location used to be more personable until recently they have remodeled and removed a lot of the personnel to help you with your account. Instead of speaking to a teller about all your account needs, you now have an ATM machine to help you with your deposit and withdrawals. However, if you still want to talk to a person because you don't have your account info, you can either go through the ATM drive thru to get a person on screen through another location. We used to bank at TCF for the convenience of being able to go to any Cub Foods location to withdraw money and ask for new and crisp bills for passing out in red envelopes during the Lunar New Year and you can still get bills at some other Wings location except Eagan and Apple Valley. We opened an account at Wings because it was the only location that still issued traveller's cheques back in 2013 when we were traveling to Vietnam and didn't want to bring a lot of cash. It was conveniently located at the airport and so we opened our account right before heading to Vietnam and they have the cutest piggy bank for little kids when opening up a savings account. It was also exclusive to airline employees and families to open an account. I don't like that it's so difficult to transfer money from an external account into the Wings account. The website is not user friendly and online banking is way more difficult and I'm not sure if it's easier if we had both checking and a savings accounts but we only have savings so it's a harder to do online banking. read more

I used to be a huge supporter and promoter of Wings. I transferred my own account, my wife's account (after a tremendous amount of convincing) and our kids' savings accounts to Wings because I believe in credit unions and the personal touch that Wings had. Yes HAD, not has. I stopped in to deposit a check recently, a rare occurrence but I enjoyed the personal interactions I had at the Eagan branch so off I went. To my horror I was waiting in line to speak with one of the 4 loud ATM like video teller machines while their counter had a big canvas drape covering it. Cyberdyne has now become aware, citizens. I saw older customers clearly frustrated with how to interact with Wings Cyberdyne to insert cash and checks for their transactions. Other customers were trying to keep their interactions quiet and private but were thwarted by the video teller loudly telling everyone in the lobby everything that customer wanted to do but was failing to assimilate doing per the machine's instructions. Other customers asked if this monstrosity was temporary (it's not) and I saw other customers simply walk out. A human concierge, resembling a simian with a cup attached to 4 organ grinders, told me I was next to put all of my personal banking business loudly on display for the entertainment of other customers waiting behind me. It felt like going on a date expecting the woman to show up at the restaurant to eat dinner with me but I was seated across from her iPhone instead - because she was too busy to meet me in person and this was more convenient for HER. What are the chances we'd have a second date? Hahahahahaha not a chance. It would have been brilliant if Wings Cyberdyne installed these video tellers at gas stations or outside on their ATMs or at other public event spaces where people would prefer a live human on a video screen vs a machine. State fair? Yes! Vikings/Twins/etc stadiums? Yes! Renaissance Festival? Yes! But replacing live people inside their own branches with these video tellers? A public relations disaster exhibit 1A of forgetting who you are. Hey, Wings Cyberdyne head honchos, one of the main big reasons your customers choose a credit union over a bank is the personal touch they prefer at a CU. And no, even if you popped a video monitor on top of a mannequin body it is still not a real live person. You've succeeded in driving me away from visiting your branches and from the reviews I've seen elsewhere, many others are feeling the same way as I do. When your own employees' wages are a greater liability than your customers' preferences to have that live human interaction for specific transactions, you are looking and acting like a bank. I'd expect this idiotic move from TCF or Wells Fargo who prefer profit over people, but Wings? It's time to move our accounts to a better credit union. Fire the person or committee who convinced you this was a great idea. A cyanide pill may also solve some immediate issues too but it's a terrible long term strategy - just like replacing live tellers at your branches with video machines. The future is unwritten, bring back your human tellers or lose your customers to other credit unions. It's harder to win customers back than it is to keep them. read more

I have banked at Wings in Eagan for many years and I do not want to advertise my business in front of whoever happens to be in the building and can listen while I withdraw cash and wonder if someone will be waiting for me in the parking lot!!! Also, the procedure for going into the safety deposit box room has gotten very lax. I have had two to three people hand off the key to another person and when I come out of the room to lock up my box, I have no idea who has the key or where they have gone. I'm moving on to a more discreet bank. This place is ridiculous. read more
