Let me just start by saying I am sooo happy I found this spot! My gf and I ordered the hot wings/ lemon pepper wings w/ fries and a drink. Upon getting the wings I was a bit sketch because they were jumbo wings, but they were cooked well done, juicy and to perfection! Both of the wings sauces were flavorful as well! THE FRIESSSS! 10 out of 10, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, cooked to perfection once again! The service was nice, quick and helpful. The inside of the place is very nice. It has a cozy feeling to it! My gf and I decided to eat out at their outside seating which also had a nice ambiance and vibe! We have found a new wing spot and will be visiting here again for sureeee!

Not satisfied with my order of the 10 pc lemon pepper wings combo. My drink was nasty, maybe the ice was dirty or even the machine/nozzles. My wings were nasty as well. Very big in size, no flavor and lackluster taste. The fries didn't have enough seasoning either. I spent $24 here which is almost $30, for food that I didn't finish or enjoy. Unfortunately, I won't be returning here, and it's sad because this was my first visit.

Huge quantity and great bang for your buck. Came here on a Monday evening for dinner and was fairly impressed by my experience. The guy working the front cashier was very polite. There's seating available indoors and outside, although I found it to get kinda stuffy inside. Ordered the regular portion of the Buffalo Chicken Fries, which is a sizable meal all by itself. The fries are a thicker cut and are smothered with a mix of buffalo and ranch sauce and bits of fried chicken. Spent less than $10 and went to bed with a food baby that my body is still working to get rid of. I would definitely recommend sharing this with someone else. Overall, great meal! Parking: Free street parking available in the area. There's also a private lot available on the side of the building.

I made a yelp account just to leave a negative review. My recent visit was truly disappointing. The food quality was far below expectations -- lacked flavor, and clearly weren't fresh. For the prices being charged, the quality should have been much better. (Price was $21.00) To make matters worse, the customer service was just as poor. Staff seemed uninterested and inattentive. (Just a blank face nor greeted anyone). Note that the wings took forever to be ready and I didn't even order a combo. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and not worth the time or money. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements to both the food preparation and staff training in customer service. Sad to say, this was my first time trying their food and last. read more

There a lot of wing places out there some ok some good and some are great. This place is one of the greats! The food is always fresh and good. It definitely gives buffalo spot a run for its money. The patio area is definitely a cool vibe. Sometimes they even play live music and the people working here are always so nice. This is a must try. read more

Wings where good in size but still had a nice crunch to seasoning ratio. If you wait a bit longer for your food it's because they're making it fresh. The workers where all nice when I visited for my first time as well. Overall good wings spot where you know what you get when you walk in. It's much than your commercial wings spot. read more

Tried their butter parmesan traditional wings.. the skin was crispy and the meat is moist, not dry like other places. The buffalo chicken fries was also good. I tried the 'spicy' level. It was pretty good. The fries were pretty decent. There's plenty of sauce that smothers the fries. Oh, the onion rings were decent too.. Not too thin or thick, and the batter was thoroughly fried, but pretty standard fast food fare. The 3 breadsticks I ordered were good. The breadsticks are freshly made and they are quite different from fast food chains kind of breadsticks / pizza places. Really recommend trying them. But the star of my meal were the dips! I LOVE their ranch and blue cheese dips. Oh golly they elevate the food to a whole new height. They cook it as you order I think, so it takes about 10 mins for the food to come out. Fountain drink is refillable. There's parking in the lot so you can take your mind off crazy street parking. read more

Had high hopes but this place is very nasty and expensive. It was all downhill from the first sip of water I took while waiting for the food. The wings are chewy and low quality. I had the 5 piece wings with fries that came with carrots and that meal was very delicious! The lemon pepper wings had such great seasoning and the wings were crispy down to the bone. I also REALLY enjoyed their fries, it wasn't loaded with salt at all, it felt like there was no salt at all; it gave it that healthy, but addicting taste! The ranch dressing was bomb.com with the fries and wings and the whole meal left me happy and full. The carrots are the only thing I didn't eat...absolutely HATE carrots. This place is a gem. Found it while I was cruising down Vermont. Ordered (mild) wings and the pork fries (special for $7.99). The portions were large and the food was bomb.com. Had college basketball playing in the background and had a lot of diversity pop in for takeout orders and a few for dine in. Lot of parking in the back so that's always convenient. Basic drink selection and no beer . I will definitely be coming back to this place again. I want more wings!!! read more

First off the older lady at the register is rude ... and I've been to other wing empires and they always give a good portion for the regular plate of chicken and fries. Bad attitudes and terrible customer service! In the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, the staff had the nerve to get an attitude because we requested the chef to remake our food, but this time to please wear gloves. This isn't an irrational request on a normal day, but especially not during a global pandemic!! The chef's retaliation was to make us wait extremely long - after several other customers came in, ordered and received their food. And then did not even toss our wings in sauce or top our fries with any sauce. So when we made it home, we just had a dry mess of food. Completely unhappy. I've eaten here before and the food is okay, but they've lost my business going forward. When we were leaving, my friend tried to explain to the cashier why we requested the food to be remade, and she brushed him off, saying "I'm very busy." She wasn't. Atrocious customer service. Maybe they can get away with this treatment to college students, but not with grown adults who know better and know the value of their dollar. I will take mine elsewhere. read more

She knew how to win my heart through my belly even back then. I haven't had Pioneer Chicken since the early 90s, and I was pleasantly surprised when I dug my teeth into the drumstick. It was super crisp -- exactly how I remembered it. And the iconic orange batter was the same yummy recipe, possibly crispier than KFC's. The biscuit was my next favorite and I don't remember it being THIS good with its hint of honey flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy have not changed, but the coleslaw was a tad different. It used to be chopped into mini squares. Now it's shredded cabbage, but it has the same light mayo flavor. Also, I love that they use less plastic Their side item containers are made of paper, both top and bottom, which also adds to the retro vibe. Loved looking at the old school photos on the wall that date back to the 1960s with Pioneer Pete, The Flintstones, and Muhammad Ali, aka the OG "G.O.A.T". It was cool to learn that Jessica, who took my order at the register, was part of a bigger franchise history. Her dad owned this location, and passed it on to his son. Family-owned for the last 38 years, this location is one of the originals. And one of the last two still standing. The nostalgia of this place will always have a special place in my heart. I'll have to come back for their fish & chips and maybe even try the gizzards on my next trip down here.

The crab fat fried rice is a no brainer and depending on the night you come, I highly recommend the Sinigang xiaolongbao special. You don't have to be Filipino to appreciate what Sampa is doing for the culture, just come by and see for yourself.

I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast menu and other items though. Because peeking at the other tables they offerings looked delicious.
