So as an LA native, I've always heard about this place and driven by it often and wanted to finally try it for myself. After hearing that it can take quite a while for the orders to be finished, I was instructed to call, and I'm glad I did because it definitely shortened the wait time. The service was decent, but I was put on to their lunch meal, which I felt was so perfect and has me wanting to come back before even actually trying the food lol. We're to begin... we got food from here for the first time and had such an amazing experience. We placed an order online and there was a system error, the order and payment went through but we did not receive a confirmation. We called in and the young lady (I think named Tsunami) provided the best customer service we've seen in years! She was so kind, corrected the issue and when I went in to pick it up, she again provided the most wholesome interaction. I would come back just because of how phenomenal she is. Saw this place on TikTok and had to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The food was amazing. The wings were perfectly crispy and made fresh to order. The place is small next to preschool. They have a small parking lot. Baby let me tell you, some of the characters you see walking in there will make you look twice but the good smell will make you blind to it. They have excellent choices, you can see the cooking going on. I got 'Kym' baked tater and 5 wings it was DELICIOUS!!!!! My friend got the combo with fries- you get a ton of food and extra sauce. Wings N Pot has a lot going for it, but it's been a mixed bag for me. The flavor is really good you can tell they know what they're doing with seasoning and sauces. That said, the fries are almost never crispy. They usually show up soft and kind of limp, which is a bummer because the rest of the meal has potential. My other issue is the wings tend to be too crispy / overcooked. I like a little crunch, but these often come out more dry than crispy, like they've been left in just a bit too long. They have a small area inside for dining and a cute little patio area outside as well. The baked potato was huge and packed with toppings. An easy share for two people or leftovers the next day I suppose. Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but if I visit in the future I'll definitely ask for less melted butter. They drowned the potato with it and it definitely made the potato super mushy...almost watery. Bbq sauce was good but a little overpowering as well (personally I'd go light on this too.) Wings were perfectly cooked and not overly gigantic. I expected the flavor to be a little more prominent seeing that we had garlic and lemon pepper flavors, but they too were so oily that we couldn't really taste anything else. Price point was good. But the reason for this review is the quality of this food. The French fries were cold, the chicken strips were over cooked pieces of chicken. My grandbaby could not eat them. I didn't see strips as the menu indicated. The potato had a ton of jalapeño peppers on top and some pulled pork and barbecue sauce on it. I was very disappointed I came here because Guy Black recommended this place on the radio. But this was a huge disappointment! And was it because the form of payment I used not sure. What a great place to stumble upon right before our Sofi stadium visit. This review is long overdue! Parking can be a bit busy in front of the restaurant so we opted to park in free parking on the side of the street. The ambiance of the place was very lively and busy with a line almost out the door. There's some eating areas inside but it's very limited. They do have tv's with sports playing which is a plus. The owner of this establish is very personable and you can tell he truly cares about his customers and the love of cooking is shown through him. Wings were absolutely delicious!
