Sad to report our visit wasn't good at all. Basically, Wings etc - in Salem was trash. Customer service was nice - but food was subpar. Wasn't worth the money. We had the wings. (Sauces were good!) and the mozzarella sticks were good. But the wings and fries were blah. Actually, feels like it was all microwaved. Now as we write this 24 hours after our visit and I have to say one of the folks in our party has been ill all day, and that started about 10 hours after our visit. Of course this could be coincidental, I just don't know. But it is highly suspect. So I will say this - I'd will not recommend Wings Etc and suggest others take our experience in consideration. read more

Virtually the staff was awesome. The food was OK. Nothing that I would really die to come back for. I did have a band playing the night that we were there that were pretty good. Odd space for Music, but I guess there's not much else to do with it around there. read more

Wing Etc. is a decent addition to the Salem, VA restaurant scene. As to be expected, the atmosphere has a comfortable sports-bar vibe to it. The waitstaff are excellent and attentive. The chicken, boneless and traditional, is nothing out of this world, but still good and the sauces are superb. My favorite sauce is the spicy TNT sauce. The prices could be lower, but what these days isn't overpriced? I'll definitely revisit to try other options in the future. read more

Our waitress was very attentive and kept our drinks full. For a fast food place the noise level is really low, even when it was crowded. There was a snafu in the kitchen and half the order came out wrong and part of the order was missing but they fixed it right away. I chalk it up to being newly open and they are still working the kinks out. All in all the food was good and the service was excellent. I go back just to try other menu items. When I first heard that Wings, Etc. had just opened it's doors in Salem, Virginia, I didn't think much of it, after all I had just dined at and reviewed the new Buffalo Wild Wings at Valley View's prior T.G.I. Friday's totally renovated location and loved it. But it being Chicken Month and after reviewing their website, I was fascinated with their menu and beautiful restaurant design and decided that I really had to go there and see for myself what this business that opened its first restaurant in here in Salem, Virginia, was all about. After being awarded the Triad Yelp Squad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, celebrating their contributions and accomplishments throughout the year, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Wings, Etc. Bar & Grill in Salem, Virginia, is a perfect example. I heard that the place where this new restaurant had opened used to be a run down Mexican restaurant, that had moved and afterwards the place had been totally cleaned and renovated. It's amazing how sometimes change is for the better, and after one door closes behind you a new wiindow of opportunity lies ahead. The closing and move of the other restaurant made way for this one to arrive, fixing up the place, and making it look more than just presentable, but desirable. While the Mexican restaurant that moved is also doing better in its other location, this one seems to already be attracting new clientele. When I arrived for dinner at around six-thirty in the evening, the place was already packed with customers. It's no wonder because its beautiful architectural design couldn't help but attract your attention and once inside the very unique ambiance and menu variety made you feel right at home. I was greated by a friendly young lady at the Host's station, told that there would be a wait, and they took my name. I didn't mind because while I waited I went around and took many of the photographs and video clips which I'm sharing with you in this review. When a space on a waiting bench became available I sat down next to this friendly couple retired from the Navy who after establishing conversation, immediately connected and invited me to join them at their dining table when we were called to be seated. We sat down and after reviewing the extensive menu, made our other. They ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos as appetizer, while I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp. For our main entrée I ordered the Boneless Wings, while the husband ordered the Traditional Wings and the wife the Cauliflower Wings. And we all ordered a glass of Iced Lemonade to drink. The food arrived to our table in a reasonable time. There were so many large screen TVs that we talked and watched the football games on TV. Everything was cooked to perfection and our server did an excellent job bringing us refills. I totally recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to returning to try out several other items in the menu that caught my eye. read more

Hostesses didnt talk to us when we arrived outside of asking how many people in our party. The young lady who showed us our table didnt say anything, just left us menus and walked away. She also didn't give us or offer us drink menus, we found one on the table next to us after those customers left. The wait staff seem very young/new to waiting. Our waiter didn't know/mentions the specials until after we ordered then came back to tell us that celery and carrots were not included and the price of our wings. He also didn't know if they had a military discount and took about 10 minutes to find out when we were trying to pay. He did a decent job of checking up on us while we ate though. It was fairly cold inside, bring a jacket. When we arrived I was surprised at how quiet it was for being a sports bar. None of the TVs had volume and also weren't showing CC. The noise level picked up some as it got busier. The wings were great. I enjoyed mine and my wife said she liked hers too. The loaded tots appetizer was a bit over cooked but was ok. Monday's special is $.69 boneless and $.89 bone-in wings so dinner was very reasonability priced. There are daily specials. So make sure to inquire. The waitress was really nice, however the food took forever, half of our order was wrong, and it tasted terrible. My brother is the kind of guy that'll get kicked out of an all you can eat buffet, and he didn't finish his meal and then didn't even take left overs. Also, the options for flavorings are just so bizarre. For the price of the wings, just go to buffalo. read more

We decided to try this new restaurant in Salem and we're a bit underwhelmed with the results. For appetizers, we had the green beans and the loaded tater tots and then we decided to split an order of 15 boneless wings which apparently were on sale that day. The loaded tots were delicious and plentiful; the green beans were delicious and not plentiful; and the wings were breaded, deep-fried, and sauced they were passable as far as wings go, but in all honesty all sports Café just down the street in downtown Salem has nothing to worry about them taking business away from them. When it came time to pay the bill, we were overcharged for the wings and our server was quick to make an adjustment. Wings, etc. is brand new from top to bottom, but it's just another sports bar. With so many other restaurants available in the Salem Virginia area. We will probably return but no time soon. We wish this restaurant a lot of luck in its future endeavors. read more

We definitely felt like we're more in a bar than a family restaurant I'm glad they sat us in the corner away from the music in the front. The food was way overpriced and you must pay extra to have carrots and celery with your order of wings. Your ranch servings are very small as well as any other sauces you've requested. We ordered some appetisers as well and asked for some small plates they only had five left clean in the Restaurant they stated so we had to share the small plates. about six hours later that night one of the members in our party became severely ill. First time ordering not impressed...I purposely waited until time has passed since the opening so that I can get a good read on things. My order was wrong and by the time I get home and realize--it's too late. I ordered a full order of cajun curly fries and got, what I assume, is a regular order of tater tots. Wings were...eh, I ordered two different sauces really tasted alike. The interior of the restaurant looks very nice. I truly doubt I'll be ordering or visiting again. read more

First of all, bad service, mid food, we were there for 1 hour and a half waiting g for food and drinks.

we arrived at 6. took half hour to be seated and another half hour for our order to be taken. our orders were served to us piecemeal. Just got a $70 order last night they're hamburgers were dry and seem to be overcooked and almost a weird taste the chicken wings were rubbery my steak sub the steak was burnt and hard the fries were okay my deep fried portabella mushrooms were dry and hard cooked to a crisp overdone the the nachos were great but was not being happy with everything else in this order and then my first order when they first opened I spent all over $100 and had some of the same problems but I didn't have a steak sandwich at the time so I figured just being new open you know I give him another chance but after two visits and a hundred and seventy dollars I just do not feel the food was worth it and would not recommend eating here maybe they could improve on The Cook's cooking of the food then I feel they can be a very good place but the cook is just over cooking everything to a point of almost being inedible so once again I have to say I wouldn't recommend eating at this location read more
