This is my third "Wings Over" visit. I've been to Wings Over Rutgers (NJ), Wings Over West Hartford (CT) and now this one in Rhode Island. Consistently good. The boneless wings are huge all white meat, juicy chicken fingers. They have a wide selection of different sauces. If you like buffalo sauce they have mild to extremely hot. I usually go with the Honey BBQ and it never fails. Prices aren't cheap but for $25 you have way more than enough for two people. The Hangar 2 comes with 1.5 lbs of chicken, a boat load of french fries, two drinks and ranch or blue cheese dressing. Well worth it. read more

I really like the kickin bbq sauce. The boneless wings were great today, waffle fries pretty old even tho we came at the exact pick up time they tasted and were textured like they were put in the box as soon as we placed the order... which sucks cuz as a teenager I always loved their fresh hot waffle fries! Whatever tho cuz the ribs were great (golden sauce) and the wings made up for the fries. We ordered thru yelp and .... the app asked us specifically what sauce for ribs and what sauce for chicken but it didn't translate to the ticket. I don't know who would be in charge of that but they should fix it. The employee who called to clarify was very sweet and apologetic, it sounded like she had to do that a lot with the Grubhub/yelp orders because she was apologizing a lot for stuff that wasn't her fault and seemed surprised when I wasn't annoyed with her. Great wings. I eat a lot of wings and I keep ordering from here much more than my "checkins" show. I'm a big fan of extra crispy and they do it well. Not horrible bleu cheese but I use my personal fav at home because I always get to go orders. Phone/desk service is blah but they are high volume with few front workers so take it for what it is. They are usually super busy so expect short, clipped order taking and to be put on hold. If this bothers you than go some where else but this is a great sign of a busy business that turns over their product often resulting in fresh wings all the time. read more

I had this place probably 3 years ago, and it was pretty good, had it today and it was pretty terrible. Wings were... chewy. Beware. I ordered food on a Sunday night that they told me would be ready in 20 minutes. I went to the store, the staff told me repeatedly that the food would be ready soon. I waited an hour and ten minutes and then asked for a refund. The clerk told me he couldn't process it without a manager on site. So, I left... without my food and they kept my $70. I have now emailed the company several times and have not gotten a response. So, beware... you may ruin a Sunday night and wind up with no food and no refund. read more

The food: classic tasty wings, can't really complain. We've tried a bunch of flavors and our favorites are jet fuel and sweet onion bbq- get them extra wet! Not so much fans of their dry rubs, specifically the garlic parm and smoked Cajun, the wet ones just had way more flavor. Also weren't huge fans of citrus chipotle (had an odd after taste) not hot garlic. The afterburner is also good, but REALLY spicy we didn't enjoy the sniffling noses and burning mouths. Called to place an order . I typically usually order online but today i only had cash on me. After calling to place my order i was told after looking up my address that I needed to pay online with a card first. I asked why and didn't receive an answer. just silence. that was off putting. So I drive down Hope St A LOT, so I've been eyeing this place down for weeks... maybe even months. Im a big fan of Boneheads in West Warwick so I was thinking I'd give another local spot a chance. I got a DC-3 for 7.99 (boneless) with lemon pepper seasoning, a side of fries and a can of pink lemonade. I googled the place while inside and it's actually a chain (franchises), which is fine but I like supporting local business more often than not. The food came out relatively quick (steaming!) and that's a plus for me. After eating the first one I was like ok this is pretty good, then at the second one I felt bloated like I swallowed a bucket of grease and salt plus my mouth was stinging from the over abundance of lemon pepper. I thought the wings were ok, very meaty (which is good) but too greasy, too salty and the seasoning was honestly overbearing. What a horribly run operation.... SuperBowl Sunday and wings, right?! NOT AT THIS LOCATION. I called at 4:00pm to place a pick-up order of 75 wings for my friends, and they said they aren't accepting orders until 6:30pm (when the game starts). I was in shock because I said I would be willing to wait until 6pm to get them because I know how busy they must be (2 hour wait period is more than understanding), they said they are not going to take or prepare any orders until 6:30. Here is the absolute worst part. I called yesterday to ask if there was any special ordering process I had to do for ordering in SuperBowl Sunday to help them not be so slammed, and they said, "oh no! Go call a couple hours ahead of when you want to pick them up.." so I did, and they said NOPE! Word of advice: Go to dominos or Buffalo Wild Wings because this place is an absolute joke. Stopped by this place for lunch last weekend and loved it! My brother is a hot wing connoisseur and he had to check this place out. He really enjoyed the wings but was disappointed that the hottest sauce they had wasn't hot enough for him. However I got one of the hotter sauces too and really enjoyed it. It had just enough kick without my mouth being on fire. I got the boneless wings and fries combo with the red alert sauce. The chicken was big and juicy, you get about 6 tenders for 1/2 lb. The fries were average but still pretty good dipped in the sauce. My only complaint would be the seating. In the past we would normally wait upwards of 30 minutes for our order. However this past weekend we called to ask a question about the menu and learned we could call our order in and we told them what time we wanted to pick them up and they were ready the moment we walked in. The wings are amazing and in my opinion the best in the area. Bone in or bone out are fantastic. Large variety of sauces and ways you can order your wings. The only reason I am not giving this place a 5 star is the fact that I literally only had just the wings, and only once. Let me tell you though -- what a crispy, perfect piece of heaven! Wings can be hit or miss. They can't be soggy. They need to be juicy. They MUST be crispy. Even with sauce. They did it. They did it! I witnessed these girls argue with a customer in front of me and in front of other customers present. The food is mediocre at best, but the service is what makes this a place you should avoid like the plague. Made an order for delivery at work and the driver ended up leaving because the person who took the order did not ask for a contact number. When we called wondering where our food was, they stated that they'd make a fresh order and get it to us as soon as possible. It came about a half an hour later, but was anything but fresh. The chicken was cold, the cheesy bacon tots were cold and soggy, the blue cheese and soda were room temperature. When we called the manager, he was rude and dismissive. Just flat out abysmal customer service. I'm honestly amazed they have three stars on Yelp. Absolutely stay away from this place. I went on a Sunday. Which is a bad move. Football Sunday!!!! It took like 30-35 minutes for food to be ready. Next time I am going to order online or call it in. I ordered the garlic Parmesan and honey mustard wings. They are to die for. The large waffle fries I ordered were lukewarm. If you are going to order the fries get cheese on them. They were so dry. The wings were huge!!! Nicely seasoned and crispy. Nice weekend spot if you want take-out. The place is small so you really can't eat in. They have like 4 tables and chair sets. A royal bummer. Imagine, just imagine, wanting to finish up Netflix's The Crown whilst devouring fried chicken wings. Now image this... With neither of us feeling much like cooking, Honeybee and I went to Wings. We're a bit new to the area, and live just a few blocks away. "How lucky to have a wings place so close," we said in unison, stomachs growling. We walked into Wings, and were greeted with an intense whiff of cleaning products. Don't get me wrong, I love a clean place, but it was a big whiff. That, combined with the screeching of steel chairs being dragged across the floor by an employee, set the proceedings on a disappointing note. The cashier and I could barely hear ourselves speak. Not that the cashier was saying much. (Not even a hello, sadly.) With less-than-stellar service, we continue and order a bunch of different flavors of wings. The price was pretty cheap ($22 for 25 wings, I believe), and the flavor varieties were impressive. We got home and began eating the wings. Just okay-ish. The sauces/seasonings were great, but they couldn't cover up the "meh" wings (although they looked scrumptious, they were dry, like they'd been out for a bit).
