The co reviewer and I were invited to a very nice party that had all the food from this restaurant. We had the wings, calzones, fried pickles, garlic cheesey bread, and the antipasto salad. The 4 of us were in agreement the meals were a 3 out of 5. The calzones were very doughy and seemed under cooked. The chicken inside was tasty and cooked properly. The chicken wings were very good but the "hot barbecue" sauce was lacking the "hot". The antipasto salad lacked lettuce and had huge sliced tomatoes that had to be re cut. The garlic bread could use a little more spice and definitely needed to be toasted more.

White piZza. How can you send this out to a customer????

Ordered food at 6:50, for my food at 9. Was told "45 minutes". When We for the white pizza it was BURNT to a crisp. We ordered a Popeyes balls with no pepperoni (I don't eat meat)- it had meat. So I called to ask for the order corrected. It's now 11pm, Got the pizza and it was fine- they didn't bring the other side's they messed up. Never again. And every time I called I got no apology or excuse just a quick "ok YUPP". So rude.

We started with the Chicken Marsala Stuffed Mushrooms, which were packed with rich, savory flavor. I ordered the 'Shroomy Grilled Cheese, and it was next-level comfort food; gooey, earthy, and perfectly balanced. My husband and aunt both had the New School Smash Burger, and they couldn't stop raving about it. Every dish was bursting with flavor and truly "to die for." Our server, David, made the night even better. He was attentive, upbeat, and genuinely kind; an overall great spirit with a fantastic attitude who elevated the entire dining experience. David even brought us some of their popcorn, which was so delicious and such a fun extra touch. We loved the food, we loved the service, and we will definitely be back; highly recommend.

It has almost a cult-like following after reading the reviews. In my experience, everything I have ordered was okay ... but nothing incredibly amazing vs. the price. I have not seen higher menu prices outside of Manhattan. Two sandwiches and one beer came to $78 after the tip. You read that correctly ... a burger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich with side salad and the cheapest draft beer on the menu ... $78!!! The wings/tenders were over $20 ... in fact, other than the side upgrades, nothing on the menu was under $20. If you are charging $25 for a 'diner burger' and fries, it better be an amazing burger. Mine was no better than Five Guys and less tasty than a Shake Shack. Given the prices, one wouldn't expect that you'd get potato chips with your burger. In order to get French fries ... it's a $5 upcharge. A side salad is $9. I don't mind paying more for quality ... and Blackie's quality is probably high as their meats, vegetables, potatoes, etc. all list the origin place. However high the quality is, for me anyways, the food doesn't seem much different taste-wise, than anywhere else that is much less expensive. Having said that, the portions are huge. The nachos look like they are meant for an entire table and everything is served on metal cafeteria-style trays. Good for them though because the place is huge and always packed. The crowd here is very typical 'Rhode Island'. Expect to see a lot of anchor tattoos, lifted Jeeps with no doors in the parking lot, young 20 - 40 year old crowd who probably played high school football or baseball back in the day and still enjoy telling stories about it. There are no shortage of cross-fitters here. There is a nice buzz of conversation and energy ... but this is not the place you want to go if you don't like crowds. Inside is weird. The walls are painted black and the chairs/tables look like something in a boutique hotel. It looks a little more like a corporate hotel lobby or wedding function hall vs. a restaurant ... especially given the typical crowd. This is not the sports bar it appears to be on the outside. Overall, my 3-stars may seem harsh. But that's an average score ... and honestly, my food has always been average. Maybe I need to try the pizza. If you have deep pockets and like huge portions, you probably won't be disappointed in this place. The service is great, although 2 people working a packed bar, you will wait a bit if you need anything. Also, I came to watch the big game and for some reason they hung pendant lights which dangle down from around the bar. While they make everyone look better, the TVs are blocked by the lights. Very odd.

And it's the Bryant bar - which I wasn't expecting - and I just thought I could grab a late dinner and enjoy some drinks and Olympics - and nahhhh around 9 they are clearing tables and the college kids start showing up. Vibe changed. GOOD FOR THEM! but not ideal for me lol Buuuuut they'd get five stars for the food alone. I LOVED my burger so much. Best burger I have had in a while - Alabama Slamma. Flame grilled?!? Flavorful. So good, and I don't know why but I got a side salad instead of fries and that dressing was so good too! Was highly delighted with the salad. Service was great - I really appreciated that when our beers came in plastic cups our waitress immediately told us "sorry about the cups, everything else was hot from the washer" like yes please, make a decision for better quality AND give us a heads up? But man. I'm thinking of that burger again today. Oh my friend got a chicken Caesar salad and the bowl sucked lol. It was top heavy and difficult to cut without knocking it over. Burger, still fire.

When I went with Meg M we were sat immediately and the server, Delaney, asked if we wanted drinks or apps, we explained we were starving and were ready to order our entrees. Delaney understood the assignment and got our food to us quick! At one point she apologized for not checking on us sooner, but really she checked on us often. She was lovely and engaging! My friend ordered the grilled chicken pesto sandwich with tots. I tried a a tot and they were crispy! I had the bang bang shrimp bowl. The shrimp and sauce on the shrimp was great and the avocado was super creamy. The rice was a little hard though, kind of like day old rice (rice I would have used to make fried rice honestly.) I wish the dish came with a side of the sauce to mix in with the other veggies and rice. While we were there I saw someone eating dessert and also saw the salmon entree. Both looked great! They also offer tons of specials throughout the week. I'll definitely be back!

I've seen on social media that people complained about the new location having mainly street parking - we both found parking easily on the street - quit yer b*tchin' people lol. Besides I believe they have a lot behind the restaurant that we didn't have to use but it's there if needed. We were the only ones there when we first walked in but more patrons came in as the night went on. Made our way to the bar and orders were flowing - one warning if you're sitting at the bar, it is an open kitchen so there will be alot of aromas flowing through and may get on your clothes but really it'll just remind you of how good the food was. Also, the barstools are not the most comfy - metal stools with no backing so after 2.5 hours, we were feeling a bit achy. We ordered way more than we should've but everything just looked so good! We got the croquettes (our absolute fave), the cauliflower, the pizza du jour (I think it had spinach, pepperoni, ricotta and garlic) and for entrees we got the fish tacos and the Orecchiette. Not one complaint - everything was divine. Croquettes were melty, smoky little nuggets of heaven and our favorites bites of the night. The pizza had a great balance of flavors and the crust was thin and crispy. We were so full but had a few bites of the fish tacos and pasta - the fish was cooked to perfection and the aioli it came with topped it perfectly. Pasta was different - had a scallion cream sauce that was a nice change up from your typical Alfredo. Don't sleep on this place - the street is busy being on a main road but so well worth the visit, I didn't catch our bartender's name but he and a few other servers were super personable and friendly - gave us just enough time in between meals and personal space to not hover. Absolutely will return!
