The hickory BBQ were spicier, though not supposed to be according to their scale. They were for my dad who has dementia and can't navigate eating bone in chicken anymore. They were over-cooked and hard. NOT edible. The guys and gals who work here are true professionals. I do have one criticism. The restaurant itself ain't very clean. The tables aren't wiped off and the floor is dirty. I've been to this location a handful of times and I'm almost always pleased with the food and service here. This past visit was no exception. My family ordered four flavors of boneless wings and two large orders of fries for pickup. Everything was ready within 15 minutes. I am impressed with the safety precautions they are taking during the pandemic, including separate doors for entering and exiting, the dining room being closed, hand sanitizer readily available, and employees wearing masks and gloves. The wings we ordered were perfectly crispy on the outside while still being juicy. My favorite flavors were the lemon pepper, garlic parmesan, and honey BBQ. The fries were hot and crisp, though a tad over-seasoned (not sure what type of seasoning they use on the fries but it tasted both salty and sweet?) We ordered Wingstop for the SuperBowl and had an overall positive experience. The thing that stood out to us the most was the awesome, contact-free, super efficient process the restaurant had set up for game day online order pickups. When we drove up, we saw a long line (that extended outside of the restaurant) but as we got closer, we realized that the line was for people ordering in-store and that the process for online order pickup was separate. There was a tent set up with volunteers who were checking people's names and then going inside to see if our orders were ready. We didn't have to go inside the restaurant at all, which was nice with respect to the pandemic. We received our order within 5 mins of our scheduled pickup time, which we were impressed with considering it was SuperBowl day. We ordered two flavors that were listed as "Most Popular" on the WingStop online menu - lemon pepper and original hot. The flavors themselves were good, though we wished they were a little stronger. The chicken was a little dry. Overall, we give kudos for such a positive ordering and pickup experience on a big game day during a pandemic. The flavors were all mixed together since they leaked from box to box and the flimsy piece of wax paper didn't keep them separate. My fries were COLD and INEDIBLE. Normally I would give this place a 5/5, but my experience last night was astonishing. In the middle of a dangerous pandemic, the cooks in the back feel exempt from the "required mask" rule. The only Person who was properly wearing their mask was the man taking orders. I made him aware that the cooks were not wearing their masks over their face, but pulled down under their chins. Rude as hell. I walked in to pick up my online order and I go and place my two bags on a table to not hold up the pick up area. I open my bag and take my fries out to season them on the counter which is just a couple feet from the table. I take maybe a minute seasoning my fries and then I look over to the sound on something being dropped. I don't know the name of the employee but she was short, young, and dark-skin. She slid all of my food off the table and dropped it to the floor without any care. The food was closed after I took the fries out. I asked her "why are you dropping my food?" And without apologizing and with attitude she says "I asked if it was anyones food and no one responded so I thought it was trash". I was a couple of feet away from her and I didnt hear her. As an employee why would you throw trash onto the floor to clean a table. Bags of food to the floor. I pick up my food from the floor and say ok and leave because I didnt want to create a scene. I honestly didnt even know how to react so I left. But I wish I had said something about this rude employee. She had attitude and rolled her eyes when I talked to her. She did not apologize. There was a situation a few weeks ago where when I arrived at the Wingstop to order some wings, the power was out in the whole area. Instead of turning me away, the manager offered to make my lunch and then collect the money on my next visit. True to his word and mine, I got food that day and I paid on the following day. I find this level or trust and respect towards business clientele a rare occurrence. Now, let emphasize again that we are not eating gourmet food here. These wings are on par with Hooters in my mind and above places like Pizza Hut and Domino's. The wings are always served hot and they have good flavor. The sauces and rubs are good also. Clearly, the food is a-okay and a three star experience but, factor in the good service I have had the half-dozen times I have been, Wingstop grabs the fourth star. The fries always seem like they have so much potential, but they are just not well executed. They are almost always kind of soggy, even if you request extra crispy. Their flavor is okay but just not what I am looking for in a fry. If I am going to spend the calories to eat some fries, I'd prefer they were crispy and delicious. They were cooked well with absolutely no lemon pepper on them. There's nothing to really explain but... In a nutshell, the wings are amazing. The Lemon Pepper wings have no flavor but i just stick to the Hickory Smoked BBQ. The BBQ wings are packed with flavor. The wing is crispy, filled to the brim with sauce. Hands down, some of the best wings in the game. The fries on the other hand... wooo wheee, they are so sooo delicious. Butttt... you HAVE to get extra seasoning or you won't taste anyone but potato. More Money Spent = More Pleasure. The blue cheese and the ranch are also very good. The celery, evidently is good too. I mean it's jus a vegetable. It's always the same. The carrots are very hard for some reason though. Overall I give it a 4 Star. It's good but it has it's shortcomings. I typically go to the wingstop in briar creek when they will take your order. I gave this location a try hoping to find a better location. I was very disappointed. I drove out of the way thinking it would be better. It was worse because although they were nice enough...the order was an unappetizing mess. I received a wing tip with feathers that should have been in the trash not as a part of my total order of 30 wings...the rolls were drenched in butter and clearly not fresh tasting or fresh looking. The fries tasted fine but looked unappetizing as well. Most frustrating is that I got there about a minute later than I wanted to pick up my order and it wasn't ready until 9 minutes later than I requested. Logically, I figured it will at least be fresh but it tasted like it had been sitting around for hours if not days in the case of the rolls. Also, I saw people come in after me that appeared to have placed their order over the phone since they hadn't paid but got their order before me. In fact, their orders were waiting for them. I ordered and paid in advance online because the online website will not allow you to place an online order and select cash as an option which I find quite inconvenient. The only way to order in advance and pay cash is to call the order in over the phone....from my experience along with other customers that can be more miss than hit. Furthermore, I requested my order to be ready @7:45pm not 7:54pm for a reason. I needed to get there and pick up my order and leave at 7:45pm. I was a minute late and my order still wasn't ready. Don't be mistaken, if my order was prepared with the quality fresh ingredients and with the presentation that I have come to expect as standard at every other wingstop I have been to (including the one in briar creek), I would have promptly forgiven the tardiness and this review would not exist. I can't believe the franchise tolerates the foolishness that I have experienced at this wingstop literally serving what should be garbage....and the briar creek wingstop not taking orders whenever a nondescript "accident" occurs read my other wingstop review. What is most appalling from a franchise vantage point is that no one ever commented on my first wingstop review from the management or this one so far.
