I love the noodles here. Since developing food intolerances, I have to be more careful with my…read moreselection though. Today when I called to ask about if the coconut noodle soup had any pork broth, garlic, or onion (things I have to avoid or I will get sick), I could hear a man on the other end of the call being very rude towards me and the girl asking about the ingredients on my behalf. Stuff like this is what steers people with intolerances away from eating out or asking more information about the food we might want to buy. I didn't want a recipe as he suggested, I simply wanted to know if it had anything that is a common allergies or intolerance. Even when I provided the specific things I have issues with, this man continued to be rude. He had an attitude and was saying, "it's coconut" with a rude tone, as if I was dumb for asking if it has any type of broth in the soup. Meanwhile, many restaurants can make soups with chicken broth and other broths and it still be "coconut" or another flavor so I found that really aggravating. Food is a five a star but the man with the attitude bumped it down to three. 4/20: In response to owner's response-- Let's remember that people can develop food intolerances and allergies as they get older. I was having consistent issues before because I did not know what foods gave me issues and pain. However, now I know and am trying to be careful with what I eat. Additionally, recipes can change over time, just like people and their health. I was just asking and you were very dismissive and rude to both me and your staff.

The Tom Kha in particular was only sour and did not leave room for "sweet and savory" as the menu described. For the price of the items the value also isn't there. The passable thing was the appearance of the restaurant and the theme. It felt like there was intention there. The main disappointments come from the quality of the food and also service interaction. The chicken in the Tom Kha and the pork in my friend's ramen were both tough. I was charged extra for the chicken in my Tom Kha order even though the menu said "choice of protein" and it did not indicate an additional charge. Upon addressing this at checkout I asked if it could be compensated since it was not written. The cashier just gave a blunt "no". I am understanding that maybe there was nothing that could be done, but the disappointment and lack of care towards the misunderstanding felt like a disregard for the customer experience. Lastly, my friend ordered a Tonkotsu ramen which is not pictured here and had food poisoning. Seemed like there were plenty of people that visited the restaurant for takeout and enjoy the food, but I will not be returning.

The crust was a bit hard and dried out. It wasn't as soft and appetizing as I remember. The rest of the pizza was fine, for the most part, but something did seem off with it overall. It just wasn't as delicious and satisfying. It tasted like they missed a step (seasoning?) or something. Hence, the Yelp two stars -- "Could've been better." The pizza cost $16.88. Extra garlic sauce was $0.49. After $3.38 tip, $4.99 delivery fee, and $1.64 tax, the total delivered cost was $26.89. I ordered through Papa Johns' website. I ordered an extra garlic sauce because the ordering process didn't make it clear that one garlic sauce was already included. Papa John's should fix that. We ended up needing both garlic sauces because the crust was tough and bland. The pizza also came with one of Papa John's traditional and yummy pepperoncini (now *that* was as good as I remember). The delivery went great. It was handled by DoorDash. DoorDash kept me updated on the status of my delivery via text messages. The delivery arrived on time and the Dasher (deliveryperson), Peter, was polite and professional. I rate the delivery alone five stars. This is Papa John's store #1421. It's hidden from street view, tucked away in the Indigo Corners shopping center near 15-501 and I-40 exit 270. Outback Steakhouse - Durham, North Carolina…read more We visited earlier in the evening than my usual late-night stops, and it made a noticeable difference in the overall experience. There was plenty of parking available, which is typical for this location. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted at the host stand and promptly seated in a booth without any wait. Our server came to the table right away and remained extremely attentive throughout the entire meal. Both entrées were cooked perfectly, exactly as ordered. At one point, what appeared to be a manager delivered our entrées to the table, checked on us, and thanked us for coming in. That extra level of engagement didn't go unnoticed and added to the overall experience. About halfway through our visit, a large party--easily 30 or more people--arrived, and our server ended up taking them on as well. Even with that added pressure and clearly being in the weeds, she never let our table fall off her radar. She continued to check on us consistently and stayed engaged through the entire experience. We paid using the table-side payment device, but unlike some past experiences at other locations, she remained present during checkout--asking if we needed a paper receipt and confirming details like entering a phone number. That level of follow-through stood out. Going earlier in the evening versus closer to closing made a significant difference in service quality. This visit was a clear step up in attentiveness and overall experience.

I just can't believe all these good reviews after I went to Peony for lunch about 1 pm on Thursday…read more There was not another soul in the restaurant save two employees. I ordered poke. It was mostly rice mixed with sad iceberg lettuce ( mixed greens ) and the toppings were skimpy. For $18 this was disappointing. It was supposed to have three proteins. I added radish, crunchy onion and edamame. It was sad. In addition to the toppings I ordered there was a bunch of ginger and a marble-sized glob of wasabi hiding in the mix. Glad I avoided being surprised by that. I took the photo after I'd eaten so you can see how much rice was still in the bowl. The waiter was super sweet. He'd do better at another job. I'll stick to Zen Fish. There everything is fresh and vibrant and the choices are more exciting. Plus, their mixed greens are actually 'mixed greens'.

First of all, the AC was not working on the night we visited so things did not get off to a great start. It was warm in the dining area. The lighting was dark (maybe to not add to the heat). We enjoyed our Thai ice teas and seaweed salad appetizer but found our entrees (angel hair special and marine couple) just okay -- nothing special. The scallops in the marine couple were pretty tasteless. The owner came by and chatted with us a little bit, which is always nice. We've had tastier food at other local Asian restaurants so we'll probably pass on coming back soon. We wish them well.

The prices hardly seem to have gone up at all in ten years! And you get so much food! You're set for lunch the next day, for sure. The service was great. From the warm welcome from the host, to the attentive server, and then of course the hibachi chef who put on exactly the show we were looking for. Well the regular stuff: onion volcano, squeeze bottle with a string in it, tossing pieces of meat into open mouths, he played the hits. I will also say that the accommodations for allergies and food sensitivities seemed to be great. One person at our table said she didn't like onions and mushrooms, so the chef made her a large solo portion of zucchini in a completely separate part of the grill. The chef also asked us if we wanted double white sauce, or double ginger, whereas in the past I feel like they just served it up quick and you got one of each. I know this isn't mind-blowing, but I took note of how a tune he was to what we might want. The only thing I could say could use a little improvement would be the ambiance. It's nice, but could be even nicer and more romantic with warm light bulbs. The cool light bulbs feel a bit stark and cafeteria. I was really cold, so glad I brought a sweater, but I can understand why they keep the air down considering how many huge walls of flames are occurring around the place. Finally, it was my husband's birthday so of course I had to tell them so they could come out and sing while banging on drums! Why not? We also got a complimentary scoop of sherbet, which we didn't really want. But it was a fun and festive way to end the evening. Go forth and keep this place going! It's great!
