Having been disappointed with the last few attempts at ordering wings from any of the pizza establishments, we thought we would try a place with wings in the name. Boy, was that thought process misguided. We placed an order for 20 bone in wings and 10 boneless wings, with a variety of the sauces. There seem to be no functional online coupon codes, some sort of Monday special for July 20 and by 10, all of the nonsensical fees and service charges applied with an appropriate tip for the driver and you're out 40 bucks. The food did arrive hot. But it pretty much stops there in terms of anything positive. The mild sauce is generous to call mild. It's barely ketchup. The hot sauce might register as mild in most establishments, maybe. Even the kids were left wanting for something spicy. Louisiana sauce, whatever that was, was like an attempt at some sort of roux I guess? Whatever it was added no flavor. It just made things greasy. The traditional barbecue sauce was applied to the boneless wings, he was overly sugary and sweet, though it had a good flavor. The only thing with bite was some sort of mango habanero, which had a pleasant bite, but again was far too sweet. The main issue with the sauce, as there was next to no on any of the wings. The wings were dry, overcooked, tiny appetizer size chicken winglets, like you would get from Costco or the grocery store, we are very disappointed with the portion sizes for the price paid, and the manner in which they were cooked and serve. When someone puts the word wings in their name, you have expectations you're going to get a product that reflects that they're good at what they do. Grand opening was today (June 24th, 2024) and what a great addition to Florence! My girlfriend and I have been counting down the days till Wing Stop officially opened so of course we placed a to-go order once we heard they were open for business! First off, there is no dine in seating at this location. You place an order to go or do an online order. I HIGHLY recommend placing an online order to speed up the process. Service was great. We walked right in and someone asked for online orders to come to the front and we did. Immediately got our food and were on our way. We got 20 boneless wings (hot honey rub, Louisiana rub, Cajun, and garlic parm), voodoo fries, and ranch and honey mustard. These wings are DELICIOUS. We loved every flavor we got, but the hot honey rub and Louisiana rub were our top favorites. The ranch is to die for I recommend ordering extra if you're a ranch lover! Tempting to drink it out of the container it's that good. The honey mustard was also really good! The voodoo fries were great as well. I highly recommend if you like their Cajun seasoning. All in all, this location LITERALLY just opened today. So comments about "bad service" are literally people complaining because they had to wait in a long line. What did you expect? Every time i get my food it comes bagged completely terrible and on top of that the bag is always seeping in grease and wing sauce which most of the time the sauce all over the bag isn't even a kind I ordered. My husband and I have tried to order from here 3 times. Each time their mobile ordering is down. We have tried calling and sat on hold for 20 minutes with no answer. Was really excited to try Wingstop, first placed order and it was ready in 4 minutes, we went around 230 pm, girl was packing things away from a table inside the door, no one greeted us, raised her head looked and put it back down again, thought I'd let them know we were here to collect the order, not thinking it would be ready yet because we placed it in the parking lot, it was ready. got it home, opened it, carrots and celery must have cut yesterday, sat out to dry out, then made wet in a fridge? So they looked old, the breading on the wings was soggy, and the wings were stodgy and cold. Really not impressed. I ate two mild wings, not the worst I've eaten, but down there. Hopefully these are the new store kinks that will work out, or maybe Wingstops way is to cook them in the morning or night before and re heat them, I'll try them again in the future, but first impression is 3 stars because they are new. read more
