I still love the other places I usually order from, but on this night I just could not stomach that fee. I spent about 20 minutes on the app/internet seeing if I could find a local spot that would deliver to me for a reasonable rate and I found Southside Mafia. I'd heard great things about this local joint so I was honestly excited to check them out, and even more excited that my grand total came to around $35 with tip, which is honestly shocking. Now, it's a bit further away - not TOO far, but they did add on an extra dollar for the distance (fair), and I knew the pizza might not be piping hot (also fair). When it arrived it was still warm, and I'd describe it as a pub style pizza. It's the kind of pizza you'd find in a bar and devour amongst friends and a few beers. To me this means it's cheesy, loaded with toppings, and has a kind of mid crust. IMO it's not the BEST pizza in KC, but I liked it a lot, and loved that it was something a bit different, and extra loved that it was a reasonable rate to have delivered while still supporting a local business in KC. I think the overall pizza is four stars, but the whole experience for me was five stars and I'm sure we will order again sometime.
