The Caesar salad was simple but perfectly done, and the tiramisu was the ideal way to end the meal. Every bite was genuinely delicious. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the whole experience felt worth the wait. This has officially become one of my favorite restaurants in KC. If you've been debating whether it's worth the effort to get a reservation, the answer is yes. Absolutely worth the trip!

The restaurant is about as small as I expected, if not smaller. It is a tiny place but it almost adds to the experience. It's very intimate and perfect for couples. I would absolutely not bring little ones here. We started with the Caesar salad which was great. I highly recommend getting it. I'm sure any appetizer they offer is just as tasty though. For the main, my boyfriend had the lumache alla norcina which was very good but we both agreed my dish (the agnolotti) was the star of the show. The sauce was absolutely incredible. I usually don't reorder the same dish when I go back but I will absolutely be ordering it again when I come back. We finished with the tiramisu which was about as phenomenal as you'd expect. It was truly the perfect birthday dinner from the service to the food to the vibe of the whole place. I'm really looking forward to coming back to zero zero.

I really wanted good quality food, I didn't want to cook, and I wanted to feel comfortable going to a place to pick up my food in comfortable clothes. I arrived at Pasta Per Favore and there was so much parking! I didn't have to fight for a parking spot so I could go in and order my food (yes I ordered in person). The friendly service was nice. I was also able to view their kitchen which was nice and clean! The kitchen was esthetically pleasing. The cashier was very polite and helpful. Pasta Per Favore also sells some of the adjacent bakery's desserts. I had the gluten free chocolate cake. It was so good! Such a gem!

Really disappointed and they're always go to for pasta but I'm done, really done.

Years ago they catered my daughter's wedding and had been on our rotations of favorites for a long time. I was sad when they closed and we moved away for a bit too- but now they are back! So if you haven't tried this KC gem. Please go enjoy!!

Avelluto's Pizzeria & Ristorante is my new favorite Italian restaurant…read more I was driving home from some appointments and stopped in for lunch. Avelluto's is located in Mission, in the same shopping complex as Rally House, Mud Pie, and a Wing Stop, and Tipsy's Liquor. It's a small place, maybe dozen tables. You place your order at the front counter. If you're dining in you get a number. I was taking away and got the Eggplant Parmigiana and Tiramisu. While waiting I saw people continuing to come in and order, then waiting for a tablets to open. I think most of the people were considerate enough to not linger after eating. So the turnover on the tables was pretty quick. The Eggplant Parmigiana was really good. The breading on the eggplant was crispy and well-seasoned, the spaghetti was perfectly cooked, the sauce was deceptively simple. I say deceptively because it was a straight marinara but wonderfully flavored. And the Tiramisu! The best Tiramisu I've had. I went back with FPO and got pizza by the slice, the Chicken Parmigiana, and a small Meatball with Rigatoni. And of course, another slice of Tiramisu. Everything was wonderful the second time too. That tells me they're consistent and I will be going back again. And probably again after that.

From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a neighborhood deli back in Northeast. The smell alone tells you you're in the right place. The sandwiches? Huge. No skimping, no shortcuts. The meats are sliced right, the bread actually has character (crispy where it should be, soft inside), and everything tastes fresh and intentional. I ordered an Italian steak, and let me tell you--this is the kind of food that makes you close your eyes on the first bite. Perfect balance of meats, cheese, oil, and seasoning. Nothing overpowering, nothing missing. Just right. The staff is warm and welcoming, like they actually care if you enjoy your food (which matters). It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable, not rushed, and definitely well-fed. Johnny C's isn't trying to be trendy or fancy--it's doing what matters: good, honest deli food done right. If you're craving something that feels authentic and satisfying, this place delivers. I'll be back. And if I'm coming back, trust me--that's saying something.

Wish we had just one more piece of garlic bread to eat with it! It was exactly what I was expecting. The pasta carbonara had a nice meaty flavor throughout from the guanciale. My husband loves meat so he added an Italian sausage which it really did not need. But I'm glad he did because the piece I stole from his plate was amazing with the tastiest char. I want to go back just for a side of Italian sausage. As for the wood fired lasagna... it was good. I saw reviews where people said it was the best they've ever had. I can't say the same. When the description says sweet marinara or sweet red sauce, believe the sweet part. This sauce is SWEET. It's definitely oriented for those who eat and love a lot of sugar. I personally think if it had a splash of béchamel on top to counterbalance the sweetness, it would be better, but that would totally change the dish. I'd DEFINITELY try their white lasagna anytime if they ever have that on special. The pistachio butter Panuozzo Dolce is pretty much exactly how it looks. Think of the pistachio butter just like peanut butter in texture. It's just green instead of brown, and tastes of pistachios instead of peanuts. It's wood fired dough and the pistachio butter. I think it needs some whipped cream on top to jazz it up. I'll try the tiramisu next time! I appreciate the decent priced bottles of wine. One thought on the decor (which is pretty cool), is that it would be really nice for those patrons sitting facing the big black wall, hanging some big black framed mirrors would be fabulous so we have something to look at besides our table mates. We will be back.
