i ordered a house salad with grilled chicken. The chicken is old n taste like it's burnt the skin didn't even cut through that's ho w old it is. The salad is out of a bag a nd they just added tomatoes and cucumbers that have been too cold n are rubbery And nasty. The worst salad I've ever had anywhere the taste of burnt chicken and salad dressing doesn't even pair well. fell line throwing up

Got a Cobb salad from there and the egg had hair and dust on it. Like it fell on the ground and they still put it in my salad. Unbelievable!!!!! UPDATE: Spoke with the manager and she was very nice and apologetic as well as kind.

I found this chicken place by accident and decided it was destined to be a lunch stop. I have never heard of Zaxby's before I stumbled into the wrong parking lot. Ordering was pretty difficult since the person behind the counter could not simplify orders from 4 pieces to 2 pieces. I originally asked for the torch chicken sandwich and ended up receiving a 4 piece meal with coleslaw. Instead of arguing and making the server feel awkward, I ended up eating the chicken meal. Actually, it was probably the better choice than the sandwich combination order. Service to the table was quick and the only reason for the 3 stars was due to the inexperienced counter person who could not accurately provide the order. Tables are slow to be cleaned but overall an okay experience at Zaxby's in Kansas City Legends area.

This has to be the twin sister (yet maybe not as popular) of raising canes. The staff was very helpful in helping me decide what to order.. I stuck with a tried and true number 1. This is a hearty meal of three chicken tenders, fries, and Texas toast.. Plenty for one person. The chicken was pretty good and the fries were tasty. I also liked the Zax sauce. I think the toast could have been softer. This is the only one in Kansas which is kind of cool. Also the manager and staff were very nice and helpful.

    Zalad: The Blue - Buffaloed

After a long drive and some last minute errands, a Zaxby Zalad was very filling and hit the spot. I ordered the Blue-Buffalo option to go. There is the perfect amount of crumbled blue cheese, fried chicken pieces dipped in buffalo sauce, lettuce, and tomatoes. I'm not even a tomato person. This location is in a prime spot near Walmart and other chain restaurants. It comes with your choice of dressing and a piece of garlic toast. All of it washed down with a sweet tea.

Its amazingly similar to Raising Cane's just with more options (salads, sandwiches, apps, etc.) and its those comparisons that color my opinion. I like it better than Cane's for a few reasons (and I really like Cane's) primarly the chicken is a spicier blend. If you go with the Chicken Finger basket its the same frozen crinkle cut fries and Texas toast, but the chicken is different enough to make a big difference to me. Maybe a little on the salty side, but still really good. My wife got a salad with chopped up fried chicken on stop that looked fantastic and a great way to get started on my first heart attack. Luckily there aren't any in the Twin Cities or I'd be in trouble.

Solid place to stop on I-70 to get chicken. Zaxby's needs more deals in their app, and more fries. Overall acceptable value.

Not a fan. Personally I thought the chicken was awful, and I don't care for the seasoning. My kids like it though.

For breakfast, two of us went with the buffet (which turned out to be the right choice). The other two ordered from the menu, and it took forever. The avocado toast was just okay--lots of toppings, but surprisingly little flavor. Definitely go for the breakfast buffet. At dinner we tried the fish tacos and nacho appetizer. Both were solid and tasty. The service was surprisingly slow even though the restaurant was nearly empty. On the plus side, the decor and overall vibe are great--very laid-back and beachy, just what you'd expect from Margaritaville.

I thought that was nice even though they weren't busy. Until the end. Then I realized why.... The decor was beachy, adorable and fresh. They did have a nice "loaded" Land shark beer, it had a shot of their lime tequila in it. The food was literally, just ok. Burger and shrimp po boy. Fries are $3 extra to add on, they were also ok. We gave our server our card without looking at the itemized bill. I went to the restroom and walked by the hostess stand on the way back and saw a sign that said they add 20% gratuity to all bills. I checked our credit card receipts and the itemized bill had been removed. I asked the server if gratuity had already been added. He very hesitantly said yes. We then changed our signed receipt. So, just be aware. The service was decent, but not 50% tip worthy. It felt clear why they didn't have us go by hostess stand.

The next day, it was so packed the line snaked around into the back hallway. It was oddly quiet inside, so maybe we caught it during a time when they were refreshing all the buffet food. Either way, it didn't take all that long but the kids were restless. I thought the food options were pretty solid! There was an omlette bar right when you walk in, and made to order. There was also cereal, pastries, turkey sausages, bacon, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, pancakes, and more. Kind of like a Hampton Inn style hotel breakfast. They also had juices and coffees. Definitely go dark roast, it's pretty alright whereas the light one tastes like hot water. The flow was wonky and all over the place, but it's Great Wolf Lodge; it's expected with kids of all ages running the place. I'd do this again. They're sort of pushing it on all price points lately, so I'd recommend they keep this around $10-$15 otherwise it's super easy to pop over and grab something for the family nearby as an easy alternative.

I was pleasantly surprised to come across Blind Box, which offered a quick and casual experience which such friendly service from the cashier. It is located within a bigger furniture store, yet conveniently located near the entrance with open seating. I ordered the Podium Platter which was prime beef burnt ends and brisket, along with a side which we chose the cheesy corn bake. Absolutely delicious and all were so tender. The brisket was easily pulled apart and the brisket was just melt in your mouth. The cost of the plate was reasonable at $15, and was enough to share between me and my partner.
