I get that they are a chain and not making these decisions at this store, but given other local options like Wing Hut in Aurora Wings Stop is more convenience than anything. The staff has always been friendly and had my orders ready on time and the food has always been well prepared. Also this location is clean and feels very sanitary which is good. Wing Stop also has a lack in sides options, and they charge separately for Ranch & Blue Cheese which should come stands with a wing order, so for me that knocks them down a whole star. Waiting for automotive service nearby, we walked over here (in the hot late Autumn sun) for lunch while we waited for my car, Smoky, to be ready. But I was really hungry and it was a rare occasion that my camera didn't eat first. LOL Mr. H. and I ordered a couple of combo meals. One with veggie sticks, one with fries. So I'll talk about the sides first. The veggie sticks were awesome and fresh. But kind of skimpy--5 carrot sticks and 5 celery. Of inconsistent size. The fry serving was very ample. It was crazy how the widely varied size of the fries actually were fried very well! Even the fattest (which was pretty much the size of a 1/4 of a small potato) got a nice cook to it. And there were a few tiny pieces that were delightfully crispy. Gold Peak unsweetened iced tea is always a welcome beverage option. And the wings! They let me down at a previous location. Due to quality, as well as feeling like they were over-priced. I have gotten past the sticker shock (kind of--I still feel they're a little high for fast food wings.) But on our visit here, they were very well made. We had Original Hot (decent), Garlic Parmesan (yummy, but not that garlicky and no kick at all), and Hot Honey Rub. Those were the money! I was hesitant about them because at other places, the honey makes them especially sticky and messy to eat. But these had all the flavor, and were actually very manageable. Usually pretty good food and fresh in 20-25min. Like most places the sauce amount varies depending on the cooks but still really good. Would've rated higher but I ordered on the phone and was told would be ready in 20 min got there in 20 and had to wait another 20 after telling them I was there for my order and no one else was in the restaurant when I arrived. Those constitute 4 stars but the main reason for the 2 stars is because on the same day I walked in at about 17:00 on 9/20/23 and saw the cashier wiping the inside and the bottom of the vending machine with a filthy rag, no problem. They then proceeded to set the rag on the floor multiple times between wiping off the back and bottom of all the cartridges (where they eject syrup) where they mate with the machine with the SAME rag. These coke machines are usually some of the cleanest machines a restaurant can buy most of these machines are self priming/ice making/ and internally cleaning. Meaning no fecal ecoli and no moldy syrup tubing. But I guess no amount of machine design can constitute for 0 concern for customer well being. I almost didn't go here because of the negative reviews but tried it anyway because it's close to home. I'm glad I did! I got a combo meal with half original hot and half garlic parmesan. Both were meaty and delicious. The parmesan garlic were nice and crispy. The fries taste fresh cut and were fresh, perfectly seasoned and fried just to the perfect point between crispy and soft in the middle. The whole meal was so hot and fresh it was still too hot to eat when I got home with it. It did take just under 20 minutes to get my order but that's exactly what I was told when I ordered.
