I wanted to share an update to provide fair and clear feedback. The manager reached out and offered to make things right. Importantly, he owned some gaps they identified and was seeking to understand where they could do better. I went back yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The ribs were outstanding and the brisket was much better. I'm not sure if anything actually changed in the two weeks between my review and going back, but it sure felt that way. Usually start up chains, like GQue are in the sweet spot where they still have great dishes and have yet ruin what made them popular, like offering smaller portions, cutting protein or including more additives. (Beau Jo's comes to mind which I still give a 5 star.) But this 5 store chain must've had a weak start. I am giving GQue a 2 star because of the portions and the staff. Otherwise, it should get a 1 star. We shared the pulled pork sandwich, a few slices of brisket and the pork ribs. The portions were good and the meat looked and, at first, tasted good. But, as we progressed through the meal, there was something that wasn't quite right. At first, there was an issue with the pulled pork sandwich. Then there was something else strange about the meat, which I believed was the brisket it didn't hit at first, but then the strangeness built from below. (I was jumping between dishes as I ate so it was hard to tell.) The pulled pork was good until I bit into some mushy part of the shoulder, which can happen from time to time when you don't get a good cut of meat. My enjoyment diminished further when we were about to leave. Instead of having a good taste in my mouth, the kind you get when you've had an excellent meal, I was left with a bad taste. Even as I sit here writing this review, I feel a sawdusty texture in my mouth along with a flavor that is not desirable. We ordered about 25 minutes before closing, spending $70 on dinner. While I appreciate the staff taking our order that late, the overall experience was pretty "meh" for the price. The BBQ flavor itself was actually there, but unfortunately, everything--from the meats to the mac and cheese--arrived cold. It's a shame because the potential for a good meal was definitely there, but cold BBQ and just "okay" sides really took away from the quality. On top of the cold food, the vibe felt incredibly rushed. The staff was clearly ready to go, making it feel pretty awkward as we tried to finish up our dinner right at the closing hour. Solid bbq with good smoky flavor. My favorite meat is their pork ribs; well seasoned and fall off the bone although less fatty pieces can be a little dry. I've tried their brisket and pulled pork as well; both have good flavor but are a little dry for my liking. Their dry rub wings are juicy if you eat them fresh. Fries are good. Mac and cheese is the creamy cheese sauce type. Original bbq sauce is my favorite but they have all their sauces on the table for you to try out. Contacted GQue in Lone Tree to cater a team building picnic event at a local park. Kris and his team absolutely knocked it out of the park! All of the food arrived just before the time we requested, which worked perfectly. The meats were nice and hot, unbelievably tender, and beyond delicious. The side dishes and sauces were fresh, full of flavor, and plentiful as well. It was great seeing people go back for seconds and even thirds, with many commenting it was the best barbecue they've had in a long time. GQUe BBQ is insanely delicious. Went at lunch time in the middle of the week and there wasn't a wait at all. Ordered a small order of ribs, a sandwich , small order of chicken wings , fries and Mac & cheese . Ribs were fall off the bone yummers , wings were so delicious , Mac n cheese so dreamy and creamy. The Sasquatch sandwich was a bit messy but good. The "pitmaster" came out to make sure the food was good and we chatted and I very much appreciated that. So good if you're craving bbq. We wanted to use a gift card and decided to come on Tuesday afternoon. It was fairly busy! I must say that the people are very nice and helpful. Our food came out rather quickly and the pulled pork and pork ribs were fabulous. The brisket was tasty and tender. The smoked beans were disappointing. The French fries were good not great and onion rings were crispy but cold. The selection of sauces are always good but the AC was blasting out so much it was actually too frigid to be comfortable. Good flavor, but portion is ridiculous. I paid $15 for like 15 bites of meat, so a buck per bite. Sauces were good; spicy one was just okay. And the term "baked mac and cheese" made me think the top would be browned or something like other bbq places, but that wasn't the case. Way disappointed tonight. After a $70 meal for 2 and mediocre BBQ, I'm sad to report this restaurant was probably smart to set up shop at the mall where people have limited options. Sadly, we were the people who drove from Castle Rock to try this place with excellent reviews. Not sure if its a lack of options in Colorado or everyone's standards are just really low but the 4 stars they have is VERY misleading. Every single thing we ordered was served to us cold with the one exception of our wings. The tables were filthy, all of the available tables to sit at were extremely wobbly and that was obnoxious. The I didn't see anyone wiping down tables the entire time we were there. My husband who never adds salt or anything to his food was so disappointed in his garlic mashed potatoes. There was no salt or pepper anywhere to be found so he ended up adding BBQ sauce to his potatoes so they had some flavor. My mac & cheese I ordered based on the recommendation of the young man who took our order was nothing special at all. I got the double thinking it would be something we would share but he was so disappointed in his meal, he didn't even touch them. $6.49 for an 8oz container and it was mostly liquid. The meat was so fatty and since it wasnt hot, it was just coagulated fat and meat intertwined. My husband who literally never complains about anything said as soon as we left, well not going back there ever again and I agree. Super disappointed and definitely feeling icky after eating in a dirty restaurant. It's a shame we cant find good BBQ here in Colorado. We'll keep looking but I think it's time to fire up our smoker. read more

They do good BBQ! Did a to-go order here for a family get together and it was very tasty. I've had GQue before at a few Yelp events and it comes highly recommended as well through word of mouth. We placed an order for some ribs and sides. Mac and cheese and onion rings were very good as were the ribs. Their beef brisket here though, is the best! A combination of the original as well as the hottie bbq sauce serves up the perfect addition to the already delicious and tender beef. Service is great and they do a thorough check to ensure your to-go order is correct. Ordering online is very easy as well. Lots of great CU Buff stuff adorns the restaurant walls. They tried to cover the wings with a ton of sauce, but that did not help. Fries were soggy and onion rings burnt. Her brisket salad was dry & my brisket was dry as well & Mac n cheese was runny- not thick & creamy like usual. Needed more flavor. We usually love it here at GQ but the food was meh & I hate the new parking situation. Ya gotta walk a ways now & that's IF you can find a spot out back. That's why I don't order to go anymore- I'm older & for a take out order I don't want to go thru all that. Used to be able to just run in. It really is hit or miss at GQ now. Disappointed. Quick service and good prices! We came here for wings and beers and got the mango habanero as well as their buffalo wings! Honestly, we are not fans of buffalo sauce but it was a recommendation and so we tried it and loved it! It's not your typical tangy sauce you get at BWW. Really enjoyed it! We were in the mood for BBQ and were walking around the mall area and stumbled across this hidden gem! We noticed the reviews and wanted to try it out. The location is right outside the main mall entrance area, and is pretty easy to find. Parking will be a little difficult since it located in the corner. Once we arrived we could smell the BBQ and also sweetness in the air from the ice cream shop that shares the area with the business. We were quickly greeted and the service was great! I ended up ordering everything. Pound of Brisket, Pork, 1/2 Rack Pork Ribs, and 2 Sausage Links. For sides 1 Qt of Mashed Potatoes, double of Mac, and a side of Fries. Everything was reasonably priced and they even had military discount. We even got a free Pork Sandwich with our meal for signing up with the business. The pork ribs "4 bones" were dry and seriously chewy, the on "bone" that wasn't dry tasted horrible and I couldn't even finish it. The only thing decent was the macaroni. Having just returned from my favorite BBQ spot back in Texas, I'm about ready to say that GQue's ribs are better than what I get in my former home state. The half rack is a lot of meat, and it's juicy, succulent, and delicious. You don't even need extra sauce with it. My daughter got 1/4 lb. each of the chopped brisket and turkey this time, and she liked them both. I couldn't get her to commit to which she liked better, but she said they were both good. The onion rings and fries are the best two sides in our opinion. It's a good amount of food, at a reasonable price, with friendly service. read more

I love when they have burnt ends, which is not always part of the menu, because they usually run out early! I also love that they experiment...no, expertly introduce flavors like peach and maple into their bbq and wings, and other experimented flavors weekly because not many, if any, bbq joints do this on a consistent basis. New flavors, and new bbq items keep the menu fresh and me coming back for more. They don't do too much and they still keep it simple with the rest of the "typical" bbq items. read more
