    Winn-Dixie grab & go counter

The newly remodeled Winn-Dixie is clean & bright, and a real addition to Cocoa Beach, they have a great salad bar, & sitting area to enjoy your meal, grab & go sandwiches, pizza-by-the-slice.

This grocery store was recently 100% remodeled (Opened July 2017) and it looks very clean and new. It is open later than publix (7am-11pm every day!!) They have a deli inside that sells made-to-order sandwiches (6" sub is only $4!) or pizza by the slice (only $2!!). They also sell whole pizzas for 10 bucks. They have a salad bar and 3 soup options available daily. Deli also has your standard meats and cheeses, as well as smoked and rotisserie chicken options. They have a small but adequate produce section and a fresh seafood counter. The seafood counter can order special things if you have a certain request. Beer/cider/wine coolers are sold inside of the main store, but other liquor and wine is sold in the shop next door. Grab a plenti card at checkout to get posted discounts. This grocery store is great. Open later than publix and very convenient for me when i'm staying in the area for work travel.

Mayfield ice cream has finally tricked down from Tennessee, and I am so excited to see Winn Dixie carry it!!!

This store runs a towing scam with a local tow truck outfit. Shop at the Publix just down the road. You've been warned.

I prefer the deli at the Winn-Dixie, the staff is friendly, and it just feels more like a neighborhood store.

Last night I had dinner at Macker Seafood. It's a no frills place, kind of a hole in the wall. My…read morekind of place! Service was fast and friendly. Everyone was exceptionally nice and talkative. I ordered a half dozen oysters on the half shell and the shrimp boil. The oysters were delicious and fresh. The shrimp boil was amazing. The shrimp were HUGE! The potatoes were cooked perfectly and the sausage was delicious. I couldn't eat it all. There was a lot of food! The owner told me they have music on Wednesday nights. I wish I was going to be in town. Maybe next time. I will definitely be back. Two big thumbs up guys! Y'all are great guys.

I was excited to try this family-owned restaurant because of the strong reviews, and I truly wanted…read moreto like it, but overall the food and value were disappointing for the price point, even for beachside seafood. My husband and I started with the buffalo shrimp, which is a go-to order for us at seafood spots. The buffalo flavor was good, but the sauce was very oily, and several shrimp still had bits of shell attached beyond the tails, so I ended up picking shell out of my mouth while eating. For my entrée, I ordered the snow crab and shrimp platter and asked for it to be cooked without butter but keep the old bay. The plate arrived with no discernible seasoning at all, and the seafood, potatoes, and corn tasted like they'd been boiled in plain water. When I asked about it, the server explained that they don't steam crab or shrimp in Old Bay, despite agreeing to that when I ordered, and that the platters rely on butter for flavor, which was disappointing for a $40-$50 dish. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because my mother did enjoy her lobster platter. That said, her lobster was absolutely swimming in butter and Old Bay--not lightly drizzled as the menu implies--and it felt like butter was the main source of flavor rather than an enhancement. The server even mentioned how much butter the restaurant goes through in a day, which reinforced that this is their primary approach to seasoning. I enjoy seasoning and lots of flavor, and I prefer seafood that's cooked so the spices and the delicious taste of the shellfish stand out, not preparations that rely on heavy butter, so this restaurant ultimately wasn't a good fit for my preferences.
