This Winn-Dixie is a great shopping option if you are in Cocoa Beach, Florida and need to grab a few items or do a full-on shopping excursion. Winn-Dixie has made quite the comeback. For a while, Winn-Dixie had a significant slip in quality. I am happy to say that they made a great comeback. I was especially happy to see the change back to better in their meat department where they put an emphasis on their USDA Choice graded meat as opposed to the lower quality meat. The supermarket has a cool enough vibe and added to my shopping experience. I would definitely recommend this particular Winn-Dixie location. read more

Did our weekly shopping at this store and when we approached the checkout we noticed that there were 2 lanes open, but their lights were off. When we started to unload our basket, the woman at the checkout proceeded to tell us that we had to use the self checkouts. Is this the way to run a store with no one to help. Since this is not the only grocery in town, it will be awhile before I choose Winn Dixie. read more

Bottom Line: Good for price checking but wouldn't make this my Go To store. A lot of my neighbors go here because they say it's definitely more affordable than that other place to Shop. The one that is a pleasure ;-) So I went. The store is huge - which I liked. Bright and plenty of room in the aisles. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I agree that their prices are lower than the other guy. Not enough to get me to go back. Their produce section was terrible. I had 5 or 6 things in my list that they didn't even have! Radishes, parsnips, scallions and a few other basics. What they did have looked old and wimpy. Bottom Line: I wouldn't ever hesitate to run into a WD if it was super convenient, but unfortunately I would never make it one of the grocery stores in my rotation. read more

The Winn Dixie in Cocoa Beach is poorly maintained and managed. for example, the men's bathroom is broken and has been broken for about 2 weeks. If you go shopping there make sure you go at home before you get there. If you have IBS DO NOT SHOP there, go to Publix. They have many bathrooms that ALL WORK properly. I'm sorry but I think this store really needs to rethink in there hiring process bc I was appalled by how I was treated by the people in this store. I was given an attitude when I went to the bakery and the store was just not managed right and then to boot when I'm trying to check out I got a nasty attitude when I was explaining how they treated me at the bakery to the checkout cashier. read more

I only shop at this store when they have really good sales as other stores can be a bit expensive depending on what I'm shopping for. However keep in mind that although the store itself is relatively nice and has good prices there are issues that you have to deal with; 1) Produce department is pretty bad. More than once I've bought items that were rotten the next day and many produce items on the shelves are just barely hanging onto shelf life. So I certainly wouldn't rely on their shop/ deliver service to have someone else pick the items for you. 2) 99% of the employees I have encountered and dealt with are rude, incompetent and severely lacking in customer service. Everything from just shrugging their shoulders when asking where something in the sale ad is located, to employees stocking the shelves that refuse to get out of the way if a customer is trying to pick something to the cashiers and front end personnel that act like they are doing you a favor by servicing you. This has been on numerous different occasions not just once. 3) Lastly many items are severely lacking in options. Even just simple staple items like coconut milk, some well known ethnic foods, etc you will have to go elsewhere for. Don't come here looking for anything special and certainly don't bother asking any employee! So while you can certainly find some good deals if you're on a budget be prepared when you enter that you're not typically going to get a good experience while there. This grocery store was recently 100% remodeled (Opened July 2017) and it looks very clean and new. It is open later than publix (7am-11pm every day!!) They have a deli inside that sells made-to-order sandwiches (6" sub is only $4!) or pizza by the slice (only $2!!). They also sell whole pizzas for 10 bucks. They have a salad bar and 3 soup options available daily. Deli also has your standard meats and cheeses, as well as smoked and rotisserie chicken options. They have a small but adequate produce section and a fresh seafood counter. The seafood counter can order special things if you have a certain request. Beer/cider/wine coolers are sold inside of the main store, but other liquor and wine is sold in the shop next door. Grab a plenti card at checkout to get posted discounts. This grocery store is great. Open later than publix and very convenient for me when i'm staying in the area for work travel. read more

There are better options in Cocoa Beach. Customer service does not exist at this location in Cocoa Beach. The self-checkout blond lady who has a permanent scowl should not be discussing how much she hates her job in front of customers. Don't want to see her lose her job but she should be stocking shelves and have no interaction with customers whatsoever. The customer service counter truly needs to have someone who understands customer service and does not comment on the price customers are paying for their items. I don't think anyone cares at this store. After reopening after a hurricane it had great potential. Today was the last day I will ever shop at this store, I will drive further for better quality, better service and a friendlier atmosphere. I don't believe I should shop where I am doing all the work of shopping, scanning and bagging only to feel like I am doing them a favor. This was one of the best winndixie locations I have been to in such a long time! Everyone was nice and the store was super clean. They have cute little cup holders on their carts. It seems like they arent too busy since they're surrounded by competitors but they have some pretty good deals here we had to take advantage of. Since we were staying at a nearby resort, we stocked up on some snacks and drinks and didnt pay an arm and a leg. It was organized and bright, welcoming and not shady looking lol they gave us coupons to use and helped us save a few more bucks, the competitors wouldnt have done that. We liked their fresh food selections and fruit/produce area. It was clean and fresh, some things were marked down but that's even better. Three things put this grocery above the rest: seafood, wine, gas card. I always get fresh fish at this store, I know, they are the beef people but it just ain't my thing. They have the best prices on seafood and the staff are very knowledgeable about their stock and extremely helpful. The wine prices are second to none. Throwing a party? Stop here first!!! Not only do you get a 10% discount when you buy 4 bottles, you can also earn money for gas. I never pay full price at the pumps. I just filled my car for $0.97 a gallon and filled my belly with a tasty Zin from Lodi California. read more

Stopped here to get some provisions for a weeks' long business trip. Pros: easy parking, well-lit, friendly cashier. Cons: terrible selection, high prices! I wandered the aisles searching for things like dark chocolate bars (none to be found), natural/organic foods (found a mediocre few) and ended up leaving with just the basics (peanut butter, tortillas, sparkling water). For such a huge store, I was expecting a better selection and more sale items. I should have driven the extra 5 mins to Publix. Live and learn. read more

Despite feeling a little grubby and run down, I still really like this Winn Dixie, and I'm always cheering the company on because I know they're struggling, and it would be a shame to see them succumb to the monster that is Publix like Albertson's grocery did. They always have good specials at the store, and lately I've been overly excited about the meat they mark down in the evenings. Their butcher dept and meats are far superior to Publix in taste and in price. The bakery is nowhere near as good, though, which is a let down. They just need to clean the place up, get some brighter lights, and maybe revamp the bakery, and they would be amazing. read more

I really like the remodeled Winn-Dixie.It is clean and fresh. I have been to Publix, and the prices for the same products were more expensive. When I visit the Cocoa beach area, this is the only grocery store I will shop in. There staff are super friendly and very willing to help when needed. The store is never crowded, and I have never stood in line for more then a few minute. Item are always in stock. They have a great variety of items. There is a small wine section just past the produce in the first isle. There bakery makes some of the best muffins I have ever tasted. They are so fresh and moist. read more
