Been trying to check them out and finally got to do it on a Saturday afternoon. It's not a traditional sit down restaurant. It's a seafood shop that will cook the seafood for you to eat there. Though, the young man at counter was real polite and patient with our food ordering. We got the steam clams, peel and eat shrimp, blacken grouper sandwich, and blacken salmon salad. The fish were well cook. We always want our fish to be med-rare and they came perfectly. The shrimp was a bit over boiled. Anyhow, food was very tasty and friendly and supportive staff. I may revisit for another lunch. Do wish they have better sittings to enjoy the great food. Btw, no alcohol on site though they did say we can get them next door and they have no issue with it. Bait and Switch We ordered from the menu 2 Blackened Grouper Salads for $16 each. The man says, get you drink from the cooler and salad, pay when you are finished. We ate a decent salad, not great and when I go to pay our bill was $41.00, what! I went to my car and realized I was overcharged big time. I went back to the man and at register, looked at the menu, he smiled and said Grouper has gone up in price to $20.00 after these menus were printed. He didn't care and we had already eaten the salads. This bait and switch was wrong, he should have said when we ordered them that the price went up to $20.00 so we would know and make our choice when we ordered. I would not had gotten the salads for this price in this place. What made it worse was the asinine attitude this guy was sporting, no apology for intentionally ripping us off. Hole in the wall family place. Not inexpensive but the food came out hot and flavorful. Peel and eat shrimp was drag and they were some big shrimp. My Mahi mahi sandwich was a good portion on a toasted bun. The ISC mustard added just the right kick to my lemon pepper seasoned fish. The fish was hot and flavorful. Cole slaw was homemade tasting. The grouper sandwich was a balanced blackened seasoning. The spicy Mayo was the kick up in temp that made the sandwich delicious for my bride. The chips were a bag of yellow. Yum. An nice story of this family run business is highlighted in the menu. We met the author, mom. She was in to pick up some fresh seafood. She shared that the cases are cleared each night so when it says fresh daily it truly is. Check out this hidden gem. But shhhh don't tell everyone. Quiet, unassuming and good. The boil for one was enough for two. We received 7 large shrimp, a lot of mussels and clams. We ordered some crabcakes because we thought it wasn't going to be enough... which we were wrong. The crabcakes were big and good. $19 for the boil and $8 for a crabcake. Awesome and very reasonable. This is a great place for seafood! This restaurant was recommended by a local to the area. We are local and had never been to this location and so decided to try it out. Glad we did. It is in an outdoor center right off A1A. There is lots of parking in front of the restaurant. It is a small space but very clean. There is limited seating - about 6 stools along the window, 2 large tables for 6 and a high table for 4 people. You order at the counter and they prepare your order. We ordered 2 fish sandwiches with sides. I got the Tuna sandwich - seared with Potato salad. It was the best tuna sandwich I have every had. This is typical of a great small seafood restaurant AND seafood market. It's small and old fashion, but that's what we like. I had Key West shrimp. We had them steam um and got them to go. They were delicious. We had a happy hour planned and this place made it special. They have both eat in and take out. The fish, shrimp, squid and crabs look beautiful. They cook to order. The manager and staff are friendly and can tell you great fishing stories and give information about the area in general. This is our next night out. I stopped in for a quick bite right before closing time. I knew I was in the right place upon looking at the coolers and they were almost sold out. The staff was very help and pleasant. I've been buying from these guys 3-5 days a week for several years now. One of the main reasons I keep going back is that they are a local family business. Pat and his family buy daily from local commercial fisherman. Because of this, the fish they offer is always fresh -- they do not buy in bulk or freeze the fish.
