To start off Im more of a Publix guy but I needed to grab milk and bananas quickly and I was in the plaza of this Winn Dixie. OMG...clean clean clean...beautiful large florist section and a big deli area with plenty of meats on display to carve up. These aisles were so well maintained that it doesnt look like anyone shops here. So good managers and employees obviously. Love the BOGO items throughout the store and they are easily found with big print above each section. An employee helped me find the milk $2.29 - lol and I grabbed a pack of bananas $2.18. Really good prices here and I think cheaper for the same items. read more

WHOA!!! How come all the Winn Dixie's don't look like this??????? It is the PRETTIEST, roomiest, well taken care of WD that I have EVER been in. We stopped in this store after lunch, to grab their 39 cent deal on cabbage. The aisles are so wide you felt like you were the only people in the store. Aesthetically, it's beautiful, everything is well stocked and neat. Store looks clean. BIG DIFFERENCE FROM THE WD in my neighborhood in Emerald Hills. Makes my store look like a discount grab type grocery store. I wish I could drive to this one when I want to shop, but it's quite a distance from my neighborhood. I believe Aldi owns WD now, I hope/wish they would upgrade all their WD stores to resemble this well maintained, beautiful store. Those of you that live near this one ---- I truly envy you. If I could leave no stars I would but I'm giving one cause I like the sushi chef they have on Wednesday. But no stars because every time I go in for cold cuts they never have anyone working the counter and if there is someone there they don't know how to slice the meats. I will admit it, I am a Publix girl. There aren't enough Winn Dixies to make me change. I have been in this store twice and wow I have to say I was impressed. The store is super clean and both times the customer service has been wonderful. Eating plant based/vegan is hard as I typically end up at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods to find some products. It was nice to see Miyokos Butter and kite hill (although the kite hill was a tad more than publix) the butter is always hard to find. They also has a nice variety of alternative milks and a large gluten free items. I was in vegan happiness! The cold area for vegan selections was surprisingly large and had frozen selections next to it. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

This Winn Dixie seems well maintained. They had an employee wiping down all the used carts, and all employees had a mask on for the CV requirement. The deli has many foods ready to be picked out such as subs, chicken wings, grilled chicken, sides etc. Download the app so you can accumulate points for either money off participating gas stations or your items when you check out. I did notice a lot for "deals" compared to other grocery stores. Definitely will pay closer attention to the Winn Dixie ad on the app to see what other items that I can go back for. I promise the more north you go, the better the Winn-Dixie's are. I was heading back south and was looking for a Winn-Dixie that I had not been to that wouldn't take me too far out from my way home. Luckily two were in the vicinity but I'd already been to the other one, so I chose this one. Much like the other location, it was nicely laid out. The produce section was massive with lots of options and everything actually looked fresh (I usually don't buy produce from Winn-Dixie). The meat (beef) section was a little scarce but perhaps that because people had already been through there. However I was still able to get some for my dog. The household section was completely scarce but those are essential items and I'm sure is due to the pandemic. I didn't need anything from this section but noticed it. I just love how this new layout (idk if it's really new but the Winn-Dixie in Miramar isn't laid out like this) has all the refrigerated items on one side. It helps me remember (when I forget to write a list) everything that I need. Definitely would come back when in the area! read more

Yesterday at 3:30pm there was one checker working and one or two of the self checkout lines were not working at all times. There were at least 8-10 customers in each line and management seemed overwhelmed. If this was Publix they would have pulled Managers to openup more checkout lanes and ease the load in the checkout area. I've noticed that the self checkout hardware they have is not as good as Publix...it doesnt scan as easily, it often requires a manager to help and customers get frustrated more often....maybe they just aren't maintaining them so there seems to always be one Self Check machine that is broken and this contributed to the slowdown because the machines kept refusing to scan certain items and saying "Help is on the way" but help was NOT on the way because that over-worked manager was bogged down trying to fix glitches in the system with several customers at one time. Even though Publix is more expensive and much farther from my house I will be going there as much as possible because everything there just works much better. read more

Was out in this area today and was happy to be near this Winn-Dixie location. It has to be the fanciest one I ever been to. The outside of the store is trimmed in stack stone. You pull in to a generous sized parking lot and than get a brand new shopping cart complete with drink holder built in. Not that I need to be drinking while I shop but nice option. So you enter and to your left is fresh flowers and produce. Everything is first quality no rotting fruit here. As I make my way to the back of produce it goes into the beer and wine section. Two pet peeves I can't find a Winn Dixie that carries my husbands Michelob Light and they no longer carry Chex brand Tonic Water in 12 oz cans. You can get 2 liter bottle or small cans only. The rest of the store has everything else on my shopping list. When I go to check out no line and you have a cashier and a bagger. It's like winning the lottery. Nice seating area if you want to sit and have a sub or something from the hot bar. The hot bar has lots of things from fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, wings in 5 flavors, soups, veggies, meats you name it and they probably have it. They have a sushi chef there during the day and he will even make special sushi to order if you can wait a few minutes.Check out was a breeze. I stopped by today during lunch in the hot meals section. Before arriving I called to inquire about what was on the menu. Someone e picked up on the first call which was nice. The clerk provided me with a run down of what was on the menu. When I arrived, the clerks were able to clear out the line quickly. I appreciate that because time is of the essence. I chose the salmon which was delicious. The price is fair as well. Staff were professional. Only draw backs were 1- I didn't receive a roll that comes with the meal and 2 - there isn't a fountain drink machine or small drinks available for you to purchase other than coffee or cappuccino. The store is clean and well kept. I appreciate how there's always a clerk near the self check out to assist. Thank you to the staff and management. read more

One of the best Winn Dixie I've seen highly recommend it is organized clean and great employees

This past Thursday I had such a good overall experience with the staff at this store that I felt obliged to leave a review. I am an occasional shopper, so not always familiar with locations of items. I had trouble finding a particular item, so asked an employee, who was busy with restocking at the time, for direction. She stopped what she was doing to help me, and when it proved hard to locate, she went to get another employee with more familiarity with that section. This employee was just as friendly and eager to help as the first one, and together they got me what I needed. Then I had a second item to locate in the meat department. They walked me to the proper section. As I was studying the ingredients, the manager spontaneously came out and gregariously asked me if I needed help. I did, and he provided it. Then when I finally was ready to check out there wasn't much of a line. Nevertheless, another employee - Ethan - waved "I can take you" to another customer and me, and opened up an extra line. This is physically a spacious, bright, well-stocked and well-designed store. There are a lot of fresh items. They had the organic greens that my spouse had particularly requested, and an attractive BOGO on the ice cream I wanted. Their registers seem well-programmed and efficient, and didn't miss any specials, so efficiency is good. But what made this visit stand out was the consistent apparently sincere desire of the employees to be there for their clients. I left happy and remarkably impressed with their esprit de corps. read more

This store is all around spectacular! I truly miss my neighborhood Winn-Dixie and the weekly savings it generated for us, but this store compares to none. If it was near me, it would be the only grocery store I regularly shopped at. Today, I was rushed before going in late for work, but from the moment I walked in and asked an associate about a particular product, she was eager to assist. The location is one of the largest, with ample parking, two separate entrances, cool carts with metal cup holders, Express Checkout and numerous registers. As far as the aisles, they too are long and spacious, enough that you don't have to wait for other shoppers to get around you or vice versa, much less slow down to avoid a bumper car type collision. As far as the departments, they appeared well stocked and merchandised. I will have to come back with more time and update my review with more specifics regarding product availability, quality and freshness. There's so much you can hone in on as you're racing your car, I mean cart, through the aisles. Which by the way, they make easy to do with the nicely polished floors! The only down side was that the exit from the strip mall is not readily accessible--you have to wind around and follow the sign that says, "North to Hiatus" and then drive through the McDonald's parking lot and then the Walgreens parking lot to the back for the exit way. !No bueno! But W-D is not responsible for that. I trust once the construction for the new restaurant is complete, there will be more ins and outs. I always go to this Winn Dixie because I love the selection of items and prices. Tonight I went there and spent close to $200, which means I had a lot of items as I was cashing out. Anna the cashier this evening signaled the other cashier, pointed at how many items I had and made a face. Not once did she greet me or say a word to me. She was upset because of the amount of items she had to bag. I will never go to this Winn Dixie again, She made me feel really uncomfortable. So publix it is from now on. read more

I am writing this review to acknowledge Monique in the bakery. She is all kinds of awesome!!! Wow! I live near Federal highway and the Winn Dixies close to me did not have the corn bread that my kids love. So I called up the one on state road 84 thinking it was the one on 84 near 95. Nope!! I called up and was transferred to the bakery and Monique answered. She was great on the phone call and assured me that she would put some aside for me as they close much earlier than the store. So I went to the one of 84 near 95 asking for Monique lol. No one there by that name. I called the number again and Monique answered and that's when I found out it was waaaay out west!! I was tempted to say forget it but something about her friendliness on the phone had me saying, ok just go get it. She had already put it aside for me. I got lost twice and called Monique again both times. She told me to relax. I got your cornbread. I will be here. Don't worry about it and take your time. Wow!! Again the thought of going home got into my head but I was saying, this woman is so awesome plus my kids love this stuff! The things you do for your kids lol. So I made it there finally! I went to the bakery and asked for Monique. She greeted me with a big smile and we briefly chatted about my crazy journey. She handed me my corn bread (2 packages) again, with a great smile and a friendly demeanor. She let me know it was fresh and she packaged it carefully for my kids to enjoy. I have never been to this WD but I was so impressed with her service I did a little shopping and ended up filling up a cart! So thank you so very much Monique!!! I hope that WD realizes the gem they have in you! Your patience with me left me thrilled and I could not believe that phenomenal customer service like what you gave me, still exists!! Manager is helpful, place is bright and cold. Prices is lower than Publix. Checkout is slow because of few counters open, they have the redbox kiosk beside the customer service area. No more vending for water. They have bogo once in a while. read more

My wife and I went to this Winn-Dixie for the first time a couple of weeks ago and for the second time this past weekend. It has supplanted Super Target as our grocery store. Having had a bias against Winn-Dixie, we were hesitant to go. Our bias stems from having lived up until April in Miami (we live in Davie now). The Winn-Dixies down there are terrible - aesthetic eye-sores, poor quality on produce, rude employees at best, and employees who don't speak English. So you can imagine our un-ease at going. It's so close to home and we read an article in the Sun Sentinel about this location having undergone a renovation so we decided to give it a shot. The store is immaculately clean. Produce is well-displayed, fresh, and reasonably priced. Everything is reasonably priced, especially if you use their perks card. Example 1: bottles of Black Swan and Redwood Creek wine were buy one get one free. Example 2: a case of Coors Light was $18.99 (down from $20.99). Example 3: a six-pack of Tikal (beer from Guatemala) was $4.99 (down from $7.99 - I think). There were other specials but I don't remember since I was so excited by the beer selection. Speaking of drinks, the wine selection is extensive. Although I do make one recommendation concerning storage: Winn-Dixie should store the bottles lying down (versus upright) to prevent the corks from drying out. Between these specials and others, my wife and I saved $39.99 on our most recent trip. Employees are helpful and friendly, always walking around the store asking if you need any help. read more

But for some reason, today, out of all the other days, I noticed their prices are veggie are so expensive! $3.45 for a head of cauliflower? I can get it for $1 elsewhere, $1.50 for 2 cucumbers? I can get 4 at that price elsewhere, Napa cabbage for $5? I just got one 4 days ago for $1.25, yeah, elsewhere. Anyways, they are currently renovating and adding expansions, the inside is now wider, more spacious, and modern. But watch out for construction work in the front and in the store. read more

This may be the nicest Wynn Dixie I've ever seen. I'd say it's cleanliness is close to Whole Foods. the bakery section is huge and relatively inexpensive considering the quality. Whole chicken rotisserie for $7. That's a great meal for family of three. Many side items to choose from to include a Cuban favorite of mine - fried plantains. SO delicious. Gluten free selection is pretty stocked and the price is right. If I have a specific ingredient I have to have I'll still come here first. If I can't find it I'll head to whole foods. I come here often and would recommend it to family members and friends. read more

i have not been to this store in well over a year..WOW!!! whatta difference. They have COMPLETELY redone the entire store. there are shiny hard wood floors through the entire deli/produce section. They have a ton of really great hot food available. They gave out some samples....I tasted some roasted turkey & salmon. They both were fantastic...the staff was so attentive & friendly. I have had a negative bias towards Winn Dixie for quite a while...and i know it's a backhanded compliment...but in this store, you would not know you were in a Winn Dixie. If you are like I was.....i highly recommend you try this store. Avoid this store. I have come here to buy dog and cat food out of pure convenience and opened the bag at home to find bugs inside. The store is in rough shape and looks pretty old. Also, if you have to buy perishables here, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR DATES. They definitely do not care much about their milk, as I have almost bought expired milk before. read more

If Publix and Whole foods had a love child, Winn Dixie would be her name! This Winn Dixie is overwhelming. They have EVERYTHING. Hot food, a pizza and pasta bar, sushi from Red Koi (a restaurant in the Gables), fresh bread, a floral area, a cheese bar, wine, extensive bakery/deli, a wing bar, and well stocked shelves. There is even a bulk section. Unfortunately, I don't see the bulk candy working out in the long run - you have to bag, weigh, and sticker it yourself. You are going to have the clumsy people spilling it everywhere, the idiots who don't weigh it correctly or at all, the fatties who sample (eat a handful of) everything, and the skeezy people who will try to cheat the system and use wrong PLU codes. BTW - the chocolate covered sunflower seeds are TODIEFOR! The sushi ranges from $5.99 for a garden roll (veggie to $11.99 for other rolls. The garden roll is amazing though - aside from the usual cukes, carrots, and daikon, they put sun dried tomato and fig in it! My mom is vegetarian and we brought her one and she LOVED it. We tried some of the mini cupcakes from the bakery - they were okay, probably wouldn't get 'em again. Not sure if the roses were on sale, but they had a little flower area with individual stems priced at $1 so you can make your own bouquet. The roses were surprisingly huge and gorgeous and the one I got for mom on Friday looks exactly the same today - it hasn't even opened all the way yet. There is even a seating area with free coffee and wifi (have they not thought of EVERYTHING?!) . I think the biggest issue they have is in the name - it's a Winn Dixie. My hubby thought they should have come up with a new name - like the "Markets of Winn Dixie" or something. Weren't they called Quick Chek back in the day? (Maybe not, but thats what gramps still calls it LOL). If people can get past the name and check it out, I think they'd be pleasantly surprised!!! read more

This used to be my go to grocery store, but they are really behind on organic produce and vegan/ vegetarian options. Publix has a much better selection of healthy food choices. They do have an awesome candy isle though. If they sold more vegan/ vegetarian stuff, I'd come back. read more

The store always smells. If an item is on sale they are almost always out of it. Every time I have gone up to the customer service counter, even though there where no other customers, I had to wait because the employee was always busy doing something other than attending their guest. Some of the employees are rude. Once I got there an hour and fifteen minutes before closing amd wanted to buy some cold cuts from the deli but the deli was already broken down. On that same particular visit I also wanted to get some cinamon rolls which were on sale and they were out of. When I asked the store manager Dennis about these things he was extremely rude and condescending. Once I went there early in the morning to buy some items for baking with my son. No live cashiers were open so we had to use the self checkout. After a few items, the machine didn't register something in the bagging area and started very loudly saying to put it in. There was no one at the customer service desk and no employee ever came to our assistance. After about five minutes of standing there and having other customer gauking at us we left embarrased. Have been to this WD a few times. Today we bought some Kraft Colby Jack sliced cheese. When we got home and tried to put it on some hamburgers, it was MOLDY! I checked the date on the packaging and it was dated 1/26/2013. It is 4/21/2013!!! They sold us almost three month past the expiration cheese! To make it worse, I checked the receipt. They obviously KNEW it was old! They charged us $0.79 for the cheese, a mark off (noted on the receipt as a "savings") of $2.50! They KNEW it was old! They discounted it and sold it anyway! By Winn-Dixie standards this is a really, really nice store. Actually, it's a really nice store period, and aesthetically it runs circles around any Publix. They have some very nice touches like a real cheese department, REAL balsamic vinegar refillable by the bottle, hand tossed pizzas, carving station, sort of like a much smaller scale Wegman's store from the Northeast for those who are familiar with the chain. Friendly, helpful staff are almost everywhere as well. If you don't care about what you put into your body, then this store is four stars for sure, but it is REALLY lacking in healthier foods, as well as natural/organic selection. Also, most of the bakery and prepared items, as beautiful as they looked, seemed to be pumped with preservatives and artificial ingredients, at least from what I could see of the ingredients. Also, the prices on almost all items were either as high or even higher than Publix. All and all this is a very nice looking store with a lot of surprises, but not the best choice for the health or price conscious. read more
