It was incredibly smooth with a subtle sweetness that made it perfect for sipping on its own. Even if you're not usually a rum drinker, I'd recommend giving that one a try. My mom also really enjoyed the Sherry Nojito (their non-alcoholic mojito). It was refreshing, flavorful, and a nice option for anyone who isn't drinking alcohol but still wants a special treat. The staff was friendly and happy to explain the different rums, making the tasting feel welcoming rather than intimidating. If you're in the area and looking to try something local, Hemingway Distillery is definitely worth a visit.

Floor to ceiling bookshelves are placed strategically throughout the room to give it that cozy library , artsy writer vibe. It was fairly crowded, our particular bartender was rather brusque and neither helpful or that friendly. Because you can't actually see the cocktail menu until you actually make it up to the bar it's hard to know what you want and they want you to order quickly. Anyway, my husband, of course, had to have a traditional daiquiri , which was premade, not chilled and frankly boring and way too sweet. I on the other hand, tried an old-fashioned and it was delicious. Next we sampled a flight of the Papa Pillar distillery Rums , and a couple of them were absolutely delicious. then we moved on.... Quick tip, I guess try to look at their menu online so that by the time you make it up to the bar, you know exactly what you want. And don't order the premade daiquiri It's un impressive.

Employees are hit or miss with customer service. The store is always packed. Parking is available but difficult at times. Full of tourists, migrants, some locals, and the main problem is that there are only a few checkout lanes that are normal filled with door dash instacart and Uber Eats drivers with many orders and most don't speak English and are usually rude. Publix is great and this one was some quirks but mostly because of patrons.
