We walked in an hour before closing time (3pm), which turned out to be perfect. Every time we passed by this place earlier in the day, it was always packed from opening onward. I forgot to take a photo of their cold brew process that was being done in the morning, but it was fascinating to watch. The process looked painstakingly slow, yet very cool and worth seeing. After a long day of walking and sightseeing, a small afternoon coffee break was much needed. We ordered iced coffee along with a slice of honey cake. The cake was moist, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with either iced or hot coffee. The only downside was the service toward the end of our visit. Since they were preparing to close, the staff had already started putting things away and cleaning while customers were still seated and eating or drinking. Personally, I think cleaning should begin after closing time rather than while guests are still trying to enjoy their experience. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the honey cake and would love to try their cold brew next time.
First morning after arriving in Key West. I went to watch the sunrise, then stopped here on the way back to the apartment. Food: They have an amazing assortment of pastries and desserts. I ordered a hot chai latte and an almond croissant. Both were good. The chai had nice froth and a decent amount of concentrate, giving it good flavor. It was warm, though it would have been better if it had been hotter. The croissant was good, but there may have been too much filling, which made it soggy in the middle. It was a bit messy to eat. Service: I received a friendly greeting when I arrived. They let me pick a spot out front at a counter overlooking Duval Street. The server came over promptly and took my order. There were plenty of friendly smiles and helpful assistance. Atmosphere: The place is cute, with seating both inside and outside. The outdoor seating is especially nice if you're by yourself and want either some quiet time or the opportunity to strike up a conversation with others. I'd stop again, and likely try something different next time.
Randomly stopped in here while exploring Key West. It was the large menu posted on the front door that caught my eye. So many enticing items! I was confident everyone in my party of 8 could find something right for them. No problem being seated right away. It was a Tuesday around 2:30 PM. I struggled to decide what to get. It was very helpful to have the picture menu, available upon scanning the QR code. I delayed ordering due to indecision, but most of our party moved forward. Therefore their food arrived in a more timely manner. Once I finally did order, it took awhile to receive my food. Our server kept us updated, though. He checked in often to make sure we had all we needed. The food is very tasty. I enjoyed my quiche, which had layers of creamy goodness. Also a nice crispness to the crust. There's a bright, airy feel to the place. Indoor & outdoor seating available. It's a charming spot to savor some delicious bites.
The hot chocolate was absolutely amazing and not too hot on this warm day. I followed with the Greek yogurt with granola, fruit, and honey. It was tasty. I also had the Queen's Annan which was spectacular. My family enjoyed their meals of the veggie Benedict and the green tartine. The waitstaff was funny -Carlos. Would definitely recommend.
Omg such a cute spot to sit outside. Definitely order yourself a lavender mimosa it's very refreshing and delicious. I got the chicken panini and it was amazing with pesto and a good cheese pull. Amazing food and excellent service.
First time exploring Key West, and with an early start, we decided on a lighter fare because we knew we would be experiencing a bunch of the local flavors. But!!!!! First... we needed coffee. This bakery, slightly off the beaten path, but offered seating facing the street, where my wife and I enjoyed people watching while sipping on our coffee and pastry. We are out here celebrating our 30th Anniversary, and what better way to start the day with a small bite to get us going. I had an Americano, where the wife had the Lavender Mimosa. Both were perfect compliments to the incredible pastry (I forgot what it was exactly but perhaps the picture will tell you) we split. It was not sweet, but had a delicious tartness to it. It was fantastic! Thank you for the quick bite and the laughs my wife and I enjoyed while sitting street side people watching. I'll be looking for this place next time we come with friends! Everything was excellent! So many things that I wanted to try on their extensive and delicious menu. Cute spot, and the service was quick and friendly. I had a yummy open faced smoked salmon on sourdough and my partner has a belt on a croissant. Be careful of upcharge on the potatoes, avocado, and some bread choices( including croissant) $3.50 extra each. Was it worth it? The little dish of potatoes probably not! Also side note soup was okay; the broth was not as dark and rich as we were expecting, but also not as salty at it sometimes is.

We dropped into this place for some quick cold brews, and came back every day for the rest of our trip. Why go anywhere else when they literally have SOME OF THE BEST COLD BREW I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. I'm also a harsh critic when it comes to cold brew specifically. They are very quick especially if you're just getting something to go, and also we are once for done in, and it was great service and a charming vibe. Pastries (croissants and pan au chocolate) were also amazing, so of course the croissant breakfast was bomb. Highly recommend.
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. The ham and Swiss croissant was very good, followed by the bacon and egg croissant, which was also good. They have indoor and outdoor seating- but beware of the birds and chickens.
Come early because there is a line. Although you can go and order your coffee and get a pastry to tie you over until you get a table. It's a busy place, what I can I say. Very casual atmosphere. Hubby got the American plate and they gave plenty of crispy bacon. He ate everything. I got the ratatouille since that is not something you normally see. I make my own but theirs was pretty good with the pastry although some of the pastry gets a little soggy. Didn't care too much for the egg. The latte was delicious. Light in coffee flavor and didn't make me jittery. Also had to try their honey cake which is like several layer of very thin cake with cream in between. It was good but definitely sweet so have some tea with it or black coffee. Overall a good meal.

La Grignote is a charming little spot in Key West, and we were seated pretty quickly. It's a very small restaurant, with just a few tables inside and some additional seating in a covered outdoor area, which gives it a cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent, and I had one of the strongest cups of coffee I've ever tasted. I ordered the French toast, and it was absolutely amazing. They also had a very good-looking selection of desserts and pastries that all looked delicious. There's something wonderfully quirky about the place, almost as if some old Key West spirit tucked away a little French café and enchanted it with the aroma of coffee, butter, and sugar. I wouldn't be surprised if the pastries were baked under a full moon. I would definitely return to try some of the other food. La Grignote is a delightful little find with great service, delicious food, and just the right amount of old-Key-West charm. read more
Stopped here for a late lunch. They had great reviews and were liked the menu. We both ordered the BLTs, mine with no mayo or cheese on ciabatta bread with a side salad. The other no mayo with chips. My came correct. Would have liked a little more filling, but that was ok. My daughter's did come with mayo. Drinks were a strawberry lemonade and the other was an iced mocha latte. Lemonade was great. Mocha latte was just a latte with what looked like cocoa powder and was just ok. I would try this place again. Service was great. Keep in mind, they closed the kitchen by 2:45. read more

Quaint bakery and cafe in Upper Duval, a great little place away from the large crowds. Fast service, and the food was absolutely amazing. The Eggs Benedict with bacon was piled with 12 slices of crispy bacon and the egg was perfectly poached. The prices were also much better than your other breakfast/brunch places 2 blocks up Duval at the typical touristy hotspots. Do yourself a favor and grab breakfast/brunch here, and get a piece of lemon pistachio cake on the way out for a snack! read more

We stumbled on La Grignote & we are so glad we did! We had a cold brew with sugar free vanilla & almond milk - delish & great strong coffee! My salad - Katie's Salad - was so good - healthy & a great portion! We also had the pesto chicken panini - also excellent! The highlight though - was meeting the owner Denis! He has worked so hard to make La Grignote a place you want to come back to over & over! Plus he gave us great tips about Key West. Be sure to stop in for a pastry & coffee or a whole meal! read more

This place is a perfect spot for breakfast or lunch in KW! My husband and I both had croissant sandwiches. I had the pesto chicken salad and my husband had an egg sandwich. Everything here is scratch made including all of the pastries and it was delicious! The staff is attentive and the food comes out fast and hot! Would definitely go back ! read more

Service poor. Never came to check and see how our food was. Got the brioche French toast with a side of crispy bacon. One thick slice of not sure what but it wasn't brioche, edges were all burnt and inedible and the bread had never hit any type of skillet to resemble French toast. The density of the bread was like dry cake and the crispy bacon was precooked bacon that the wadded in a ball and deep fried. Wife got a ham and cheese croissant and it was like something shoveled off the bottom of an oven. Coffee was the highlight of the meal. Guy picked up our plates and I told him my meal was terrible and the guy said ok. Comical. Won't be back. Many other great restaurants on this island. read more

Ordered a croissant sandwich with no broccoli and fruit side. $21 and some change although it is listed at $15 on the menu. Assumed they upcharged for the croissant and fruit which is lame. They handed me a box and the fruit...had to ask for a bag?? THEY REMOVED THE WRONG THING. They took off the arugula and left the broccoli. Such a waste of money. read more

My favorite breakfast restaurant when visiting Key West! Service is friendly and I love the baked goods. There's also a nice variety of gluten free items. The eggs Benedict on a croissant is delicious. I always get a side of breakfast potatoes too. It's usually pretty busy so come early or be prepared to wait a little. read more

Amazing customer service! Bennet the owner went above and beyond! I placed an order to be delivered to my friend for his bday on UberEats. Grignote fulfilled the order, UberEats picked it up but failed to deliver to my friend despite having his address, business name, and phone number. When I called Grignote to ask if the order got picked up, Bennet offered to personally take my new order to my friend. He even sent me a picture of my friend with his lunch. It's not everyday you find that kind of service. Oh, and of course, the food is amazing too. Lesson learned, don't use UverEats. DO order from Grignote! read more

Quaint little breakfast / brunch spot. About a 15 minute wait but you could go in and grab a coffee or drink and wait out front. Small place so seating is very limited. We sat at the bar out front overlooking duval. Service was fine. The ham and cheese panini on multigrain bread was good. Nothing overly special, but the bread was fresh. The chips side was just regular old chips. The fruit was good and fresh off the wife's plate. She had the BLT. The "L" was wilted. Assume they toasted with the lettuce on it. Crispy lettuce is key for a good BLT. Didn't have any pasties but they say they are made fresh everyday and if you are gluten free, they had a good selection of options. read more

Our absolute FAVORITE! We were in Key West for vacation and went here for breakfast 3/4 of the days of our trip! The food was so incredibly fresh. The best salmon I've ever had! We got mimosas and coffee and they were both delicious too! The owner was incredibly kind and it was a nice touch to hear she was from our hometown. We got engaged right after our last brunch here, this will forever be a special place to us! read more
