This review is only for the Minute Clinic at this CVS location in Panama City Beach…read more I already knew what I needed, but could not buy it without a script. I didn't know the process at Minute Clinic, so it was a bit clumsy. There are no such things as walk-ins. You have to request an appointment, either online or at the kiosk. There was no one available to guide me through the process or provide instructions. There was one person working, the doctor, who only comes out momentarily between patients. When you apply for the appointment, it will tell you when the next available appointment is. Be prepared with insurance information and credit/debit card information. It will cost you. I found out that had I been in my home state my insurance would have paid all but a co-pay, but since I was out of state they would not cover it. I hate medical insurance companies. When you come for your appointment, sign in at the kiosk, and be prepared to wait. The name "minute clinic" is a bit misleading. There will be as much medical and insurance bureaucracy here as anywhere else in the USA. Thankfully, once I got in, the doctor was thorough and pleasant. She confirmed what I knew and provided the script which I had filled at the CVS pharmacy. I started the process at lunchtime and got out at 6 PM. That's one long minute, but it was faster and less expensive than driving to the Mexican border to purchase what I needed at a Mexican pharmacy. I give: 5 stars to the doctor 3 stars for the clinic itself 4 stars for the pharmacy. Average: 4 stars

With that said, we had an issue with a piece of furniture we got as a cash and carry. I believe I heard the district manager say he would give me $100 towards what I spent on this issue. In my opinion, I got the runaround for two weeks and when I finally showed up to get my money, it was not the amount I heard was to be paid. Mind you, it was less than $20 difference but it was the principle at that point. I will not be back to the store and that is unfortunate because the manager there is as nice as can be. However, I do not feel (in my opinion only) that I will get the service I deserve when the district manager is not as forthcoming as I felt he should have been. Yes, their products that used to be $1 are $1.25 or more now & have been for years. Many were $1.50 when I visited today. Some things like sandals, were $6. Still, I shop for a few choice items only a couple of times/yr, like cleaners & plates/cups when necessary & that's still a deal. For other things, like office supplies, many are worth it... big box of staples for $1.50, many pens, pencils & markers are cheaper than Walmart. If on the road & needing a cheap mascara or nail polish, that's worth it, too. This store is very clean & orderly, even better than when I last visited over 1-yr ago. I've never bought their food items, but I don't eat much from cans or that's processed. Just watch expiration dates, like any discounted food outlet. Like every Dollar Store across the country, they're all understaffed. There's always just 1 register open, even if there are 8+ people in line... on occasion, I've seen them open a 2nd. But, I've lived in SoCal where there are 30-50 people in line during holidays, with 1 register open (no kidding), so comparatively, PC DTree's aren't bad. As far as customer service or people complaining about employees, not many would want to work here or any retail job, for that matter... hours can be insufferable, pay is notoriously low, the understaffing gets customers riled & it's stressful for employees. The people who were there today were older women in their 70s, doing the best they could. At their age, they probably have to work, it's not that they want to be there, so cut them some slack. They were fine. They moved along quickly, were pleasant. What's the issue with previous reviews? This isn't a Valentino boutique where they open champagne cuz you're going to be dropping tens of thousands of dollars on a dress... it's the Dollar Tree, so lighten up & be happy for your nail clipper set for $1.25 instead of $13 at Walmart. Good to Know: For those needing a walker or cane or having mobility issues, the closest parking spaces are about 20' from the front door, the doors are not automatic & are heavy, so you may need assistance. I like it. Good location next to Winn Dixie, Burger King & Panhandle C.U. 5* out of 5. I don't need a lot, but when I need some oddball things, they always have them. Today, it was 8 painting sponges, 1 coffee cup & all purpose cleaner for $1.50/ea. Good deal.
