The reason I go here is for convenience. I can ride my bike with my dogs and pick up a few things. Today however, above all my other times in this store which have been non eventful. Most of the employees don't seem very excited to have a job or to be there, at least today it seemed that way. I had stopped to get a few things for dinner tonight. I was on my bike and I had my service dogs. They go everywhere I go we had been riding for about 45 minutes and we got down and my male dog peed on one of the pillars outside. there's no grass or any sort of you know any area for them to relieve themselves which is no excuse but he peed on the pillar and there was a man who worked for Winn-Dixie standing outside and he started yelling at me. You know that 00 great your dog peed on the on the wall and I said no it's not a wall. It's a pillar, he is a service dog. He proceeded to yell at me and say well if he's a service dog, he wouldn't do that and I know because I have one or something to that nature and I said well if you have a service dog, where is he. And he continued as I walked in the store to yell at me and tell me that my dogs basically couldn't come in into the store, but he continued to walk away so I put my dogs in a basket because they're very small and I don't want them to get run over and I went and grab my few things and I decided that I was going to ask for a manager because the way he spoke to me was unacceptable and they needed to know that he's yelling at their customers for really no reason he escalated some thing that didn't need to be handled and that demeaning fashion. I was in front of other customers walking in and standing at the registers and it was really kind of humiliating. So I asked for a manager and guess what he comes up as the manager so I told him I didn't appreciate the way he spoke to me. It was unnecessary, he couldn't justify why he spoke to me like that and then he proceeded to verbally accost me again and say your dogs aren't supposed to be in here. They're in the basket. He tried to claim he peed on the wall and I said no, he didn't. He peed on the pillar which the rain would take care of. As if no other dog has peed on a pillar there. I asked for his manager and he gave me his name. I don't think I'm going to be doing business at that store anymore. I don't appreciate somebody treating me like that. I don't know if it had any other extenuating circumstances of why he did that but his name is Richard Winton and his manager who I'm going to speak to tomorrow is Kevin Marshal period. Someone very wise told me once the most powerful thing we can do as a consumer is stop consuming. There are plenty of stores to go to for convenience. I go there and the French bakery right on the side of it, but they don't deserve to have my money, especially if they have a manager that's going to speak to the customers like that. read more

MIXED RESULTS - LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE ALDI IMPROVE ALL WD STORES On a recent trip to Granada OB store I noticed numerous improvements- the aisles were better stocked & organized and price tags incl sale markers were better. The weekend sale items in the meat dep't were better than ever in its offerings of steaks- better cuts, all fresh, even if they were a buck higher than other similar sales--even the crab legs' bags were free of lumps of ice crust that often plagued them in the past- the aisle with flour & cornmeal were well stocked & in one place... I noticed add'l sales not listed in the weekly ad. I was pleased to see these changes...long overdue BUT last night I went to the Holly Hill store and while I found some improvements from the past incl sales on some produce better than typical. the checkout was Self checkout Only and several of the items i tried to purchase rang up higher priced than the aisle tags indicated & had to be left behind as no effort was made to correct them by the attendant...as usual the self checkout register kept stopping ordering me to place items in the checkout area & required continual attendant assistance- it took me over 15 minutes to ring up my $100. order. The hand wipes by the carts were empty as usual ...still I felt the store was a bit better than past visits. I suspect Aldi's influence is already favorably impacting WD's less than stellar past performance. As a primarily Publix shopper I recently find the WD weekly ads offering more bargains than Publix that has been really sticking it to their customers since the pandemic with no let up--so I expect if these trends continue I will be converted to a primary WD shopper...and will continue to 'side shop' at Aldis for their best priced produce. I suspect the ethos of Aldis is much more consumer friendly than Publix who continues to slam their customers with usurious prices, forcing out all but their higher income shoppers read more

Third duplicate for this location Just OK. I usually go to Publix. When I find myself at this plaza and need something small I will venture in. This store has come a long way from 20 years ago and the remodel is nice with a nice produce and wine section. They have a liquor store next door is you need anything stronger. I had a stressful day as a Healthcare worker during this pandemic and the last thing I wanted to do was go grocery shopping but I had to get bread for my son so I stopped at Winn-Dixie on the way home. My cashier Catrina was so nice and friendly it just made my day! Then I decided to go to the liquor store and had another pleasant experience with Josh! They were both such a pleasure it really turned my rough day around! I'll be coming here for now on! read more

My complaint first, the cashier yesterday added .50 cents to my total purchase. That's a lot of money when you consider how many customers visit that store in a day. I called the store and no one answered the phone, so now I have to take my time to go get this credited back to my credit card. The store is very clean though and I plan to return in the future, however I will double check my purchase total before leaving the store in the future. read more

I've been a fan of Winn Dixie for a while for various reasons. Ever since the store underwent renovations a few years ago, shopping here is a breeze and its easy to navigate through the aisles. The produce is fresh and there are always plenty of associates available to assist customers throughout the store. The closer you get towards the produce section, the more you will smell the deliciousness of the Bakery.. It will pull you right in everytime. If you are in the mood for some sweets but don't want to buy a whole cake, they have fresh cake slices available too. In the Deli department, they have a fresh salad bar and an olive bar where you can get anything healthy that you desire for lunch.. This location also has a small wine and beer section in the store. If you buy four bottles of wine, they give you 10% off and a free bottle tote. There is also a full service liquor shop next door as well. Overall, this location has it all. read more

The products of the store are satisfactory, as are the prices. The reason I will not return is because of the lack of customer service. 1st time I asked customer service for a rain check & thinking she was competent I didn't look at rain checks until I went to purchase the products. She didn't explain what the sale was or how much . Just wrote down the product & limit amount, Useless. 2nd time I purchased 4 of the same items to get the dollar off & of course she didn't ring up the coupon. The elderly lady in front of me could not hear the cashier ask if she wanted to use her points. Finally I explained to the lady what cashier was saying & told the cashier you can't whisper with us elderly people some just don't hear well. This is the cashier that didn't give the $1 off & didn't ask if I wanted to use my points. Called the winn dixie to explain this to the manager & was put on terminal hold. I live in a community with 649 homes, believe me I will tell all not to shop at Ormond Bch winn dixie. Most everyone shops at publix & now I understand why!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE has always been great there. I'll pay a little more for groceries but I'll leave with a smile on my face. read more

I've never written on this or any site but this experience warranted me to give praise to wonderful, friendly cashier at Winn Dixie. This was one of the most amazing experiences ever in a grocery store, and normally I shop at Publix. However, since they're under construction, I took a chance and went to Winn Dixie on Granada to pick up a few items on my way home a short while ago. I watched an elderly lady having a bit of trouble with her groceries while trying to get into her purse to pay. The Cashier, calmed the women down with simple kind words of telling her "you're ok, don't hurry, I'm here to help you. At that time, the lady smiled thanked the cashier and was obviously more relaxed getting her purse while the cashier took care of her groceries. The lady had some trouble seeing how to slide her credit card into the machine and you could see she began to get nervous. The cashier reached out lightly touched her hand and said "let me help you, I have the same problem sometimes getting my card in the small slot". The lady smiled and said "thank you young lady so much for your kindness". The next statement almost floored me. I've never had a cashier in any retail store say this. As the elderly lady was smiling, the cashier replied; "I'm here for your pleasure ma'am and happy to help in anyway, you be careful and have a great evening". After I checked my items out, I asked the cashier's name, she replied Catrina. I told her I owned two retail stores and was highly impressed with how she helped make the elderly lady feel at ease. She simply smiled a big smile and replied; "making people happy makes me happy, you have a great evening". I told my wife the story when I got home. Leaving right now irate. TERRIBLE customer service. Had a terrible cashier (she appeared to be Asian-not that that matters I just didn't get her name) I had an issue with the sodas that I bought wanting to reverse the transaction to get more for a better deal and was told "sorry it's past nine there's nothing I can do about it" but to be honest her attitude was terrible from the moment we walked up, including not even handing the customer in front of us his receipt and having him grab it off of the printer. Husband went back in and manager was rude as well. Will not be returning to this Winn Dixie! Customer service is SO important! read more

Artimus Darius (A.D) Davis would roll in his box if he had witnessed the horrendous, rude behavior the butcher at this local grocery showed to my wife today when she asked an availability question in a polite tone when she found the space for the cut of meat that she was looking for empty. He didn't even look at her and responded that "I haven't cut it up yet," then walked away. She didn't wait, and walked out of the store. I grew up with Winn-Dixie in Jacksonville in the early 60's. What a difference in culture between then and now; how sad. read more

I was with one of my girlfriends who was having a perscription filled here. The Pharmacist Grace Benet was the most helpful person I had come across in the month I was travelling. She actually saved money for my girlfriend recommending she get a Winn Dixie card. In addition, she was pleasant and oh so nice.
