My husband and I purchased our parent's property with WinPrime Lending. Pete Han was our loan originator, represented both sides of the deal, sold us PMI, and chose the escrow company and the appraiser. He made a lot of money off our transaction, but only did the bare minimum. Pete would send hundreds of pages of documents by email, then text every day asking when the documents will be completed. He never explained any special terms, nor walked us through what we were signing. There was an unexpected 3% transfer fee I found buried in the paperwork. I wish he would have found out what the additional 3% was for and then notify us of the additional fee that was not anticipated. Also, very disorganized. We sent information like bank statements and insurance information multiple times. Then there was the escrow company. The escrow company that Pete recommended asked us to show proof that the $1000 escrow payment was made to them. I think they gave us the wrong escrow number and couldn't figure out where the money went. We should've gone with someone else, but he said that we would lose our deposit and origination fee if we did. read more

He was able to pre-approve me for much higher than my main bank was. He was able to get me $5,000 credit on my FHA loan as well.
