Love Winstons in San Diego!! Such a cool dive bar with great drinks and great music. We love Electric Wasteland and their Monday night jams. If you get lucky, you can get a table to sit at before it gets crowded! We always hit this spot up when in San Diego. Can't wait to go back!!!

I had such a blast at Winstons Beach Club! My friend took me to a live music event there while I was visiting and I was really impressed. There was a solid crowd forming outside before the set started, so I had a feeling it was going to be good. We headed over to the bar to grab some drinks before the first band came on. I was really happy to see that they had kombucha! I'm not sure if it was just the San Diego feel or this place in particular, but everyone seemed really happy to be there and energetically hit the dance floor. There was a really nice range of people of various ages there as well, which was great to see. I would totally come back for another live music event!

Came here to see my friend perform one night. The place had a decent amount of people inside, it appeared crowded, but it wasn't crowded like we were sardines or anything - there was plenty of room to dance and be up front or hanging out near the bar. The bands that night brought in a good crowd and the music was great!! The stage area is kind of large, separated by height from where the dance floor was. LOTS of people dancing, hanging out at the bar tables, sitting on the bar stools, or congregating by the bar in the back. The restrooms were clean, the people I crossed paths with were nice. Water is self-serve in the back by the bar. Its pretty dimly lit inside and everyone was really fun, happy, and chill. A very nice spot to catch some live music if you're in OB! Definitely come by to check out the bands that play here!

Winston's is hands down the best live music venue in San Diego because of the Electric Waste Band. These guys are so good and play every Monday night.

One of my favorite music venues in San Diego! They just upgraded their sound system (which sound incredible) and also gave a fresh new makeover.

The lobster tacos are $28, with the lobster chunks in a bowl with a subtle tomato sauce, and choice of torillas, with Spanish rice and black beans. A bottle of William Hill, Central Coast, Chardonnay, wsa $42 and the Rombauer Carneos, $65. Corkage is $25. Most cocktails are $15. It has local beers on draft and in the cans. She had complimentary tickets ( usually a $10 cover) to The Shout House, a dueling piano bar. We almost didn't go and let me tell you, that would have been a sad mistake. We walked in and while it was a little loud for us older folks, we looked around and took in all that was happening. There were people there much older than us as well as people barely old enough to be in a bar. The pianist (s) were hard at work a the drummer was rocking out too. We sat down. Let me tell you, that was the most fun we have had in a long time! All three musicians played multiple instruments, piano, harmonica, sax, and drums. The songs were everything from Slim Shady to Elton John and everything in between. Slips of paper were placed on the piano, a nod was given and off they went. The crowd sang along and we all laughed! Some of it was silly but ALL of it was fun! Highly recommend. About 10:30 the older crowd started making their way out, us included, early morning flight but we would have stayed until closing time. We might have paid for it the next day but had we not had a plane to catch we absolutely would have stayed. It was fun to see multiple generations having so much fun together and the music was incredible. We had just eaten so we didn't order food but what we saw on other tables looked good. Go!! You won't be sorry!

PACIFIC SHORES @ OCEAN BEACH…read more Parking is available on the street, and it's free! We ended up coming to Pacific Shores because one of my best friend's mom was there with her girlfriends. When we arrived, there was no line at all. Security was really nice, and we got in easily. There weren't many people inside around 10 PM, and I definitely feel like this bar is more of a "grab a drink, sit with your friends, and chat" type of spot. It's not a club or a dancing bar. We ordered a round of shots and a mixed tequila drink. It wasn't strong at all, but it was really delicious, and I genuinely enjoyed it. The server was also super nice, especially since our friend's mom kept ordering drinks and shots. He brought everything out quickly and with great service. I really loved the architecture and ambiance. It had a darker, cozy vibe, very much a small, deep-bar aesthetic. They also had some really cool paintings, and if you were wearing white or yellow, your clothes would glow in the dark, which was a fun touch. It wasn't super busy, and I appreciated how easy it was to find seating and just relax. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but it was still manageable. Overall, I'd definitely check out this spot if you're walking around Ocean Beach and want a chill place to grab a drink and hang out with friends.
