An okay night. Music was great and venue... well.. it is what it is. A black box with great music. Nothing fancy but if you want great bass at a reasonable fee, this is your place.

Came here for the Daft Punk Dance Party, didn't know what to expect but here was my take. AMBIANCE: Parking: Small parking lot but there's a lot of street parking, especially Morena Street. Seating: There are a few standing tables in the back and round tables for 2. Maybe for 15 people. Feels: It's somewhat close to the University of San Diego. It's not in a flashy area just your warehouses and some eateries here and there. the venue itself is pretty nice and spacious but depending on the event it can get packed. FOOD/DRINKS: They got some good choices here. They had themed drinks which was cool. It's a $15 minimum for card. There's no food. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Solid. All kind encounters. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars! Solid. I digged this venue, parking was simple, entry fee was reasonable, and the acoustics were good. Hoping another good artist or tribute DJ comes in the area again. Till next time! TIPS: * These things get packed, if you're looking to move, come early!

I dropped by here to see a min concert for some artists. The place was nice! Good space and chill environment, and the staff was welcoming.

Love this place- they have great bands and servers. The space is ample, and street parking in the area is usually not a problem.

Really kickass place. Seen some really good bands play here and met some fellow metal heads of the opposite sex here. Can't complain.

Ask the Community - Brick By Brick

Can I just buy tickets at the venue for an upcoming show to by pass the $8 service fee per ticket?

    Yes

Hi, does anyone know if a 13-year-ol child would be allowed to enter this place with his parents to watch a specific concert (Fates Warning on Jan, 13)? Thanks a bunch.

It's a 21 and up venue. Generally no. But if you talk to the manager and have proof you are the parent or legal guardian accommodations can be made.

It can be very pricey between tickets and lodging, but if you enjoy the environment, it's truly an amazing event. The seminars provide information on everything from how to make cocktails to history, movies, books, people, and any other topic you can think of... including some where you can make your own items with an instructor, like lamps, etc! There is so much to do or you can chill with your friends by the pool or at one of the bars or over a meal. At night, there is a concert every night with a mixture of types of music: you might find exotica, rockabilly, surf music, Hawiian sounds, you just never know! The people who attend are there for a good time and to learn, spend time with friends, show off their amazing outfits and overall HAVE FUN. I hightly recommend a visit. The bands (FLAT OUT, Buffalo Farm, and TX2) were AMAZING and we got to meet all of them. Super kind people. The venue itself was super cool. Not my favorite venue in SD. We prefer to go to other places, if it can be helped…read more Let's start with the good. The employees have been very nice, which helps when you're trying to navigate shows as ADA. You email to let them know you're coming to a specific show. And sound is decent, but definitely bring ear protection if you're going to be up front near the stacks. We go to a lot of punk, metal, hardcore, etc and that gets LOUD. Concessions isn't too bad. The snack bar only takes cash for sodas, candy, etc. But you can use a card for alcohol at the bars. Go figure. And now the not so good. First of all, a weird layout, because it used to be a small movie theater in the old days (hence the exit stairs and pairs of windows super high up along the wall, lol). This makes for some strange pockets where getting out of the up-front area becomes almost impossible for a sold-out show. A not so comfortable seating option for ADA. Small folding stools aren't comfortable for more than a short period of time. (I know someone that's an ADA consultant for venues and festivals, and he would love to work with you guys, just saying....) The womens bathroom is always horrible. Two of the stalls always seem to be flooded, and I feel like the first stall hasn't locked in years. Seriously, it needs a lot of help. Don't park in the handicap parking places, because you will never be able to get out when everyone is leaving. And if there's police activity or tons of rideshare, they'll block you in. The parking lot definitely is super torn up and needs to be repaved, but I'm not counting that against them because it's not up to them. So do we come here? Yes. Are we excited to? No.

I visited with my roommate, my cousin,& his girlfriend. He went to the restroom and us girls went to ours, they're in the same hallway & you have to pass the women's restroom to get to the men's. As I was exiting the girls bathroom he walked directly past me and I trailed behind him, then all of a sudden I hear one of the girl bartenders ask him to leave because she said she saw him exit the women's restroom. She was LOUD & reactive, like she was 100% sure she saw that, she grabbed 2 of the security guards & asked to get him out because she saw him come out of the girls restroom. WHICH WAS A LIE!! It was humiliating & if she would've just ran back the cameras she would see that is absolutely NOT what happened. It was unprofessional, ridiculous,& tasteless. I get you have to be aware in these situations but she was SO WRONG in this particular instance I was appalled. Therefore if the manager or owner would like to run back tapes on January 30th around 12 am, they will see he did not exit the women's bathroom. I really hope there's some type of repercussions for type of accusation.
