On the 18th of March he texted the FDNY Paramedic that he would have all the paperwork ready to file for the town permits by the next day. On April 20th she reached out to Mike Rosado in all understanding that work start dates were ambiguous, but paperwork with the town did have a 2 to 3 week timeframe. He told her that his plumber was sick, and he could not get his licensing information. She called him two weeks later to ask if his plumber was feeling better and if he would be able to do the paperwork. He told her he was confused about how to fill out the paperwork, so she agreed to do that for him. He told her he did not have a plumber, she gave him the plumber's information for her building and then he ignored her for the month of May. On June 8th, the office assistant sent her licensing and insurance information for EcoGreen, she said Mike was still working on the building plans and that Mike expected her, the Paramedic working 12 to 16 hour shift with the New York City Fire Department, to find a plumber to do the job, this was the FIRST she had heard that she was expected to act as her own general contractor in order to get EcoGreen to fulfill their contract. She called Mike, and he told her he couldn't find a plumber, that he didn't like the attitude of the building plumber and if she wanted the project done, which he knew she desperately needed done, then she had to find a plumber herself. Because apparently a company that bills itself on its website as "full-service home and business environmental restoration company serving Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Orange counties NY, as well as Fairfield County, CT" doesn't have access to a plumber and needs a first responder, who spends most of her time saving our lives to spend her free time, doing their job for them. Alas, she is a hard working girl that just wants a working shower, so in between her long her full time job of 12 -16 hour shifts working as a paramedic, and she finally met with a plumber who gave her an estimate of $1750 on June 16th, she called Mike on June 17th and he told her that was too expensive and she needed to keep looking. Basically forcing her to do the work of a general contractor looking for and bidding on a subcontractor for his project and doing the paperwork that still as of June 20th when EcoGreen was officially fired, they never provided the plans for a very small studio bathroom repair and basic remodel. We are New York tough and we don't screw the people who put their lives at risk to save ours. The thing is I would rather not have to write these reviews and call them out, I would rather that EcoGreen would have done the right thing because they were given so many chances just to deliver on their promise. Does such a company that cheats the best that New York has to offer and even when they have multiple chances to fix it, and refuses to do so, deserve our hard earned money? I hope you will look elsewhere for your contracting needs, give EcoGreen a hard pass like they did a real hero.

Totally avoid this company . My son dropped off his rider mower there because it wouldn't start. They recommended scrapping it and they would be happy to scrap it for him for a $100 fee. My son slept on it and today went there with a rented pickup to get the mower back. The workers met him outside and said we thought you wanted us to junk it for you. When my son said no, they ran back into the shop and a manager came out. The manager then quickly said my mechanic worked on it last night and it's almost working now. It'll cost about 600. And it will be good as new. Kind of contradictory to what the staff said when he first got there. From junking to rebuilding it. My son then OK drove down a block and turned around because it just didn't sit right with him, how they changed their mind from junk to gold and told them that he wanted it back. They then gave him a bill for $300 for work he never authorized ( remember the staff told him to junk it) and he saw that a new battery was listed on the bill. He lifted up the seat and saw that it was the same old battery he had on it. Make a long story short this shop reeks of deception I wouldn't spend a dime there. I recommended that he called the Better Business Bureau and that's what he's going to do. To go from we recommend junking it, for a $100 fee, to "oh no don't take it, we can fix it " when he canceled the junk it order and came to pick it up, then billing him for a new battery that they never installed, we'll you don't need to be a detective to see something isn't on the level. About a week later, I received a call saying the issue was very complex, there was extensive damage, and repairs would cost over $600. I was advised that the mower was not worth fixing and that I should consider buying a new one. I was also charged $150 for diagnosis. I declined the repair, paid the diagnostic fee, and brought the mower home. After inspecting it myself, I simply protected and repaired the damaged wire. The mower started and has been running properly ever since. I was very disappointed with my experience. Based on what I was told, I believe the problem was significantly overstated, and I do not feel the $150 diagnostic charge was justified given that I had already identified and shown the damaged wire. This was my first visit to Bethel Power Equipment, and unfortunately it will be my last.

I dropped it off, advised the the unloader valve seemed to be faulty as the trigger would not recall leaving the unit on full blast until I turned it off. The kid checking it in, only put my name and number on it, writing nothing else, saying "we'll check it out, we're pro's, we'll get it working. I checked in a few times, finally three weeks later, was advised "the pump is blown". I questioned that, and advised the pump was doing it's job (a little too well) and could not understand what was blown about it. Then was told "these cheap units are not worth fixing". Honda motor, good brand unit.....I told them I'd come pick it up. "Why take it home? it's blown." I brought it home after paying their "diagnostic fee". I started it, the trigger now worked, the pump was strong as always, but the reliable Honda motor now stalled after running for thirty seconds, after each start. I got a new unit at the store and a few weeks took the broken one to a reputable shop in the area with my other power tools for tune ups. They confirmed, the motor was in spec, but found damaged parts that were compromising the continuity of the motor. They asked if I had tried to fix it myself, I advised I only had one professional work on it. They tought it looked like it had been re-assembled with a hammer, rather than wrenches. Scratches, bent parts that were not easily replaced, a couple of seals missing.....WTF. They offered me $50 to keep it for parts and gave me a discount on the servicing of my other gear to assure me power equipment was worth taking to a good shop to keep it running. Done deal.
