The color style I want isn't the easiest to achieve, but she made my vision a reality -- perfectly. I absolutely love the result. I've already gotten so many compliments, but what means the most is how spot-on she was in bringing my idea to life. She's highly skilled at cuts and color, detail-oriented, and genuinely listens, which makes the whole experience feel exceptionally personalized and special. And I have to mention the shampoo... the head massage will take you to heaven and back. I get so disappointed when stylists blow mindlessly through this part with the same massage they do on everyone. It's like she knows where my worries and headches live and she eases them away with hands-on intuition. Truly the best. This salon is so cute and in the most convenient location with plenty of parking, but that's not what prompted me to leave this review. I recently relocated to the area and did a quick google search to find someone to do my hair and after reading some reviews, I saw Emilia initially for a color service. She texted me prior to my appointment to get a hair history - I've never in my life had a stylist do this and it made me feel like she really cared right off the bat. The day of my appointment, she really took her time giving me exactly the color and tone that I wanted. Excellent salon for haircuts! Had an appointment with Emilia, and we agreed to cut 4+ inches off of my length. My hair wasn't damaged at all, but it reached my lower back and it was a lot of maintenance. After the cut, I still retained a lot of the length (mid-back), while having a lot less work for myself each day. For those new to this salon, it is somewhat tucked away from Palm Canyon Dr. Walk past the Aveda salon, towards the French cafe. You'll see the cafe's outdoor table setup, which is what you'll want to walk through to get to the Winzer salon. The door will be just to the left of the cafe's outdoor patio. read more

I've had my hair done by Chris twice since I moved back to the desert. The first time I had a specific cut and color in mind. Chris listened to my ideas and made suggestions of her own that I had never even considered, but loved. Having used boxed dye for decades, Chris was able to strip the blue black color I had and still managed to keep my hair strong, shiny, and healthier than ever. The process took a long time and Chris was so patient and professional the whole 6 or 7 hours I was in her chair. The 2nd time was just this past Tuesday. I brought a friend who had driven in from AZ specifically to have her hair done by Chris. It was my friend's first time ever going to a salon for more than just a trim. Chris listened to what she wanted and made sure my friend left satisfied. As for my hair, I wanted a change in color, but didn't have anything specific in mind. I told Chris that I trusted her and let her choose the color. I was not disappointed! Chris has such a knack for knowing her client's likes and caters to their style. I should also mention that since Chris was so accommodating as to take me and my friend at the same time, so we had the pleasure of having Denise help out. Denise has much talent in her own right! Came into town for a wedding. Emilia styled my hair with beachy waves. She did a great job and the waves held up in the wind gusts.

Went in to touch up my silver highlights and David over-bleached my hair, turned it yellow and didn't use the same products Chris uses in her salon. Couldn't afford another appointment to fix it so I went to Great Clips, chopped it ALL off and box dyed it myself. Still trying to grow out the damage. read more

Chris Winzer couldn't be any lovelier! I was in the area for a few days and totally over my hair. I decided to take a chance on someone new and found Chris on Yelp, followed by Instagram. The studio is super cute and I really like the vibe. It's a relaxing place to spend hours in, even while staring at oneself in the mirror (my least favorite part of getting my hair done, I never look uglier than I do then!) I came in unsure of what I wanted- remain blond, a little less blond/more of my natural color, or go crazy and go red! Chris was super patient with me as we slowly figured out what we were going to go for. I really appreciate her communication skills as I often find stylists arrogant, impatient and defensive. We even had an easy conversation the whole time when I often prefer to read than chat. I have been coming to Christina for years now and every time she does amazing work! Whether I'm wanting to go lighter, play with some color, or just go natural it's always amazing. I love the vibe she has going on in the salon. It's a pretty relaxed and go with the flow vibe and everyone is always welcoming.I usually have an idea of what I want but I always end up telling her whatever you want your the boss have fun with it. Another thing I absolutely love is if she's not happy with the way the hair came out she will contact you and make sure your satisfied with it or have you come back because it's really bugging her. I booked with Chris after my regular colorist in DC was too afraid to help me move from dyed auburn to something closer to my natural grey. Chris fit me in while I was here on a working vacation, really listened to what I wanted, and both the color and the cut are, hands down, the best I've ever had in my life. I spent a cool Palm Springs January afternoon here, getting a full foil - Chris took an unbelievable amount of time and care blending my streak-y balayage into something much more soft and subtle - a perfect champagne blonde. Then she put in some well placed layers that gave me life-I had a bob and they made it a bit of a shag, with choppy bangs. She's known for her excellent shags. My dog slept in front of the fireplace. My appointment was at 10AM and I couldn't find the place. My GPS showed that I was standing right in front of it when it was the wrong building (I had arrived to the parking lot 30 minutes early to ensure I wasn't late). The salon didn't open until 10AM and I tried calling twice before the hairstylist finally picked up the 3rd time, which by then was 10:06AM. She instructed me where to go and I arrived at approximately 10:10AM. I apologized profusely and she stated that I made it within the 15 minute grace period and that she has other clients after me. She made it known that she was upset by being passive aggressive and giving me the silent treatment when I walked in. She did not go over the services that I had booked the appointment for nor did she greet me when I walked in. I had to be the one to initiate the conversation. The encounter became extremely uncomfortable to the point where I had to cancel the appointment. I had such high hopes coming here because of the great reviews, but unfortunately I had the worst experience. read more
